Wix Video: Troubleshooting Video Playback Issues

If you are experiencing issues with Wix Video, see our solutions below.

Important:

When visitors play a video on your site, the quality may be lower for the first 5-10 seconds, in order to determine whether their internet connection is fast enough to display higher quality videos.

Video pausing / skipping during playback (site visitors only)

If your site visitors are unable to play your video, you can send them the troubleshooting steps outlined in the Troubleshooting Site Visitors Issues guide.

Issues still persist after following all the troubleshooting steps

Delete and re-upload the video to your video library. Learn more about deleting and uploading videos to your video library.

If the video is from an external platform (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook), disable all privacy settings before trying to embed. Learn more about troubleshooting issues with external videos.
