Wix Apps: Supported File Types for the Wix File Share App

The Wix File Share app supports all the files types and sizes listed here, plus the additional ones listed below.

Important:

• You cannot upload password-protected files.

• Files over 500MB will not be accepted.

Supported files:

• JPG, PNG, GIF, JPEG, JPE, JFIF, BMP, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, TIF, WEBP, JPEG 2000 and RAW.

• The following JPEG 2000 file formats are supported: .jp2, .jpg2, .j2k, .jpf, .jpm, .j2c, .jpc, .jpx

• The following RAW file formats are supported: .arw, .srw, .nef, .cr2, .cr3, .crw, .rwl, .rw2, .raw, .raf, .pef, .orf, .mrw, .dng, .sr2, .srf, .kdc, .k25, .dcr, .x3f, .erf, .3fr

• Animated WEBP images are currently not supported and convert to static image

File size limits:

• Images: 25MB

• GIFs: 15MB

Background images

Supported files: JPG, PNG, GIF, JPEG, JPE, JFIF, BMP, HEIC, HEIF, TIFF, TIF, and WEBP

File size: At least 3000 x 3000px

Note: We do our best to accommodate any aspect ratio that you upload. However, there is no guarantee that your video will look correct or play properly if you upload a particularly unusual aspect ratio, such as 19:321.

Transparent videos

Supported files: Apple Animation (MOV), Apple ProRes 4444 (MOV), PNG Sequence (MOV), GoPro Cineform (MOV), AVI uncompressed (AVI), vp6a Flash Video (FLV), vp8 & vp9 (+alpha) (WebM)

File size limit: 500MB

Wix Video

Supported files: All popular video formats (Quicktime, AVI, MP4 etc.) Learn More

File size limit: Video: 500MB per video file or 10 minutes length max

• 50MB.

• Number of channels: 1 (mono) or 2 (stereo)

Supported files: WAV, FLAC, M4A (Apple Lossless) & MP3.

File size limit: 360MB

File size limit: 50MB/MP3

Supported files: SVG.

• Make sure the SVG files you upload don't contain embedded images (JPG, PNG, etc.).

• Check that the SVG files you upload contain visual content, otherwise, the upload will fail.

Supported files: ZIP, RAR, TAR, TAR.GZ, GZ, GZIP, JAR, 7Z, FGZ and WEBARCHIVE
