  • Wix Bookings: Selling Services as Products

Wix BookingsWix Bookings: Selling Services as Products < Back Wix Bookings Wix Bookings: Selling Services as Products Selling a specific service you provide as a single "product" with one predefined price, instead of charging billable hours, can help simplify the purchasing process for your clients. For example, instead of having clients book multiple appointments, you can offer a "5-year Family Financial Plan," and sell it like a pre-packaged product. Other examples include “Tax Return Preparation” for accountants or “Contract Drafting” for lawyers. This clarity on cost, scope and value makes these services easier and more appealing to buy. It also gives clients the freedom to book and pay without having to commit to specific dates and times upfront. Before you begin: Make sure that you add Wix Stores to your site . To sell products, you need to upgrade your site to a Premium plan or Studio plan that allows you to accept payments. Review the legal requirements for Wix features before adding Wix Stores. When selling your services as products, you will need to manually schedule any appointments in your Booking calendar. To sell a service as a product: Go to Products in your site's dashboard. Click +New Product . Select Physical product . Select an option:Click Add Images to add images or GIFs. Click Add Videos to add a video. Click Upload Media to add images, GIFs, or videos and select the relevant media. Click Add to Page . Enter the service name in the Name field under Product info (max. 80 characters). (Optional) Add a ribbon by typing the ribbon name (e.g. New). Notes: You can also select ribbons you previously created. This lets you manage your ribbons as a group. Learn more about ribbons . Ribbons appear in the product gallery. Enter a description of the product in the Description field. (maximum 8000 characters, including HTML tags) Click +Add an Info Section . Enter the info section title. Enter the relevant information in the Description box. Tip: You can also use the text editing toolbar to format the text. Click OK . Enter the Price for the service product. (Optional) Enable the On sale toggle and choose either a percentage (% ) or monetary ($ ) discount and enter the relevant number in the Discount field. Note: The sale price appears after the discount is applied, so you can check the offer is correct. Click Save . Tips: Click Generate AI Text to get help composing an effective product description. You can save time by adding the same info section to multiple products at once . When copying and pasting a description from another source, paste the text by pressing Shift + Ctrl + V on Windows and Cmd + Shift + V on Mac. This removes any formatting to make sure the text displays correctly. Previous Next Need A Professional Website? Contact Us Today! • Wix Stores: Offering Discounts and Coupons

Promoting stores salesWix Stores: Offering Discounts and Coupons < Back Promoting stores sales Wix Stores: Offering Discounts and Coupons Attract customers to your store, promote brand loyalty, and increase sales by offering price reductions. Wix Stores gives you 3 ways to reduce prices. Each one can be handy to use in different circumstances. This article will explain what the 3 types of discounts are, when you should use them, and what happens when more than one discount applies to the same order. Sale prices If you simply want to reduce the price of a product or products, without applying conditions or scheduling the reduction in advance, you can add a sale price. When you do so, this is what your customers see: How do I get started? To add a sale price to one product, select the product in the Store Products tab and enable the On sale toggle. If needed, you can apply a discount to multiple products at a time. Get detailed instructions on how to create sale prices . Automatic discounts Automatic discounts is a powerful tool that helps you manage store promotions efficiently. Let's look at a few examples of how you can use them. You can schedule a 1-day sale that starts and ends at midnight without having to be by your computer at midnight to start and end it. You can create discounts that only take effect if a customer buys a set quantity of a particular item (buy 3 hats, get 30% off) or a set amount (buy $50 worth of hats and get $10 off). You can offer a discount or freebee on a different item when a customer meets requirements (buy a coat and get a free hat). You can use automatic discounts to create wholesale prices (e.g. 40% off when you purchase more than 100 of the same product). When you add an automatic discount, your customers see the discount in the Side Cart, on the Cart Page, and on the Checkout Page. You can also optionally display the discounts on the Product Page and galleries (only the discount name appears in some cases ). How do I get started? To create your first automatic discount, go to the Automatic Discounts tab in your site's dashboard. Get detailed instructions on how to create automatic discounts . Coupons Coupons are discounts that customers can use by applying the coupon code in the Cart Page or Checkout Page. They're a great way to offer discounts to a particular set of customers. For example, you can send coupon codes only to your site subscribers. Additionally, when you're chatting with site visitors, you can send a coupon code right there in the chat. With Wix Stores, you can create 5 types of coupons: $ Discount : Offer a fixed price discount, (e.g. $10 off) % Discount : Offer a discount as a percentage, (e.g. 20% off) Free Shipping : Reward customers with free shipping Sale Price : Offer products at a specific price (e.g. Buy t-shirts for only $12) Buy X Get Y Free : Offer free products when making a purchase (e.g. buy 4 cupcakes, get the 5th free) To create your first coupon, go to Coupons in your site's dashboard. Tip: You can use the free Bulk Coupon Creator app to generate bulk codes. What's next? Check out the full course in Wix Learn on driving traffic to your store or skip to the video on creating and sending coupons . FAQs Click a question below to learn more about discounts and coupons. How do discounts and coupons apply to product subscriptions? Automatic discounts cannot be applied to product subscriptions . By default, coupons are not applied to subscription products, however, you can apply them by selecting the Include subscriptions checkbox while creating the coupon. Important: If a customer uses a coupon to purchase a subscription, it applies to each cycle (e.g. for a 12-month subscription for $100/month with a 10% off coupon, the customer pays $90 each month - for a year). Can different types of price reductions apply to the same product? Each of these price reductions works independently. In other words, if you created a sale price for a particular product, as well as a coupon and an automatic discount, a customer can get all 3 price reductions. How can I send coupons to my customers? You can send coupons to your contacts and customers in a variety of ways. Send an email marketing campaign including a coupon: Promote your special offer in a marketing email. Tell your customers about your special offer and include your coupon code. Learn more about email marketing campaigns Automatically send a coupon when customers perform an action: Use Wix Automations to send coupons whenever a customer performs a particular action. You choose which of your coupons you send and what triggers it to be sent automatically. Learn how to create an automation to send a coupon . Send coupons by chat or email: If you are communicating with a site visitor by email or chat, you can easily send coupons directly from your Wix Inbox to customers you're communicating with. • Wix Automations: Understanding Conditions Operators

Previous Automation BuilderWix Automations: Understanding Conditions Operators < Back Previous Automation Builder Wix Automations: Understanding Conditions Operators This article refers to the previous automation builder. If you're not seeing this version, read our article about the new version of the automation builder . Conditions allow you to set and manage complex automation flows. For conditions to work effectively, they must be set up properly. The key to this is selecting the correct "operator" (e.g. "is greater than", "contains") and using it logically. Follow the best practices below as you add conditions to your automations. Text operators Text operators are used for comparing names, labels, etc. Best practice: Use text operators for properties that are text strings, for example when a restaurant name is exactly "Paulie's Pizza". See an example Drew wants to give a 10% discount on the next purchase for those who fill out her feedback survey. Drew creates an automation to send a coupon when a form is submitted. To ensure that a coupon is sent only when her Survey 2024 form is submitted, she added a text operator condition to specifying that survey. Number operators Number operators are used for comparing any numerical property, like quantities. Best practice: Use number operators for properties that will always be numbers, for example sending an email when a reservation party size is greater than 10. See an example Benjie is introducing a chef's menu for tables of 5 guests and over. He wants to send an email update to all customers who have made such bookings. To help, Benjie sets up an automation with a number operator condition ensuring that an email is sent only to groups with a party size of 5 or greater. Date and time operators Date and time operators are used for comparing date and time properties to specific dates and times. Best practice: Use date and time operators when you're basing a condition on an exact date or time, for example contacting all customers who made a purchase this month. See an example Debbie owns a yoga studio. She wants to send a special thank you email to all her clients who book a session at her studio on New Years encouraging them to start the year off right. To help feel confident that her email will reach the right clients, she creates a condition using the date & time of when a client booked their session. Array (list) operators Array operators are used to specify a list of multiple values or objects instead of selecting just one. Best practice: Use array operators when you're including a specific list of products in your automation, for example shirts sold in your store. See an example Sophie got new soaps in her inventory. She wants to include a '20% off your next purchase' coupon with every purchase of her new soaps. Sophie sets up an array condition to ensure that the email gets sent to the right customers. True/false operators True/false operators are used for comparing any boolean properties that will always be true or false. Best practice: Use true/false operators for properties that will always be one of two states, for example a checkbox that is ticked or unticked. See an example Josh is launching his newsletter. He wants to add a label to every subscriber contact who opts into receiving the newsletter. To help him, Josh uses a true/false condition in his automation to include only those who have clicked the checkbox to signed up for the newsletter. Previous Next Need A Professional Website?
