Adding an app to your site

You can add apps from your editor, your site's dashboard, or for on-the-go convenience, use the Wix app to add apps to your site from anywhere.

Some apps display elements in both the dashboard and the editor, such as Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, and Wix Blog. Other apps work quietly behind the scenes and are only accessible from your site's dashboard. You can easily add these apps directly from your dashboard.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click Add Apps  on the left side of the editor.

3. Browse for apps or use the search bar to search for a particular app.

4. Click an app to learn more about it.

5. Click +Add to Site to add the app.

6. Click Allow and Add to confirm.

Do I have to pay for apps?

We have a variety of apps in the Wix App Market, some created by Wix and some created by third-parties. Apps created by Wix are free to install, but you may need a Premium Plan make full use of the features available.

The subscription fees for third-party apps are determined by the app developer. You can learn more about these fees when you select the app in the App Market.

How do I get assistance for a third-party app?

Wix Customer Care can only assist with apps made by Wix. However, every third-party app in our App Market has either a phone number, website or email address which you can contact to get support.

To get support for a third-party app:

1. Open the app in the Wix App Market.

2. Scroll down to the App developed by section.

3. Click the link for support.
   

Can I connect to an external app using an account I already have?

Yes, in most cases, while setting up the app on Wix, you'll be asked if you want to connect an existing account or create a new one.

In some cases (e.g., the Instagram Feed App), if you're already logged in to your app account in the browser you're using, you'll automatically be connected to that account.

Note: To add an app the second time, for example, to display two Instagram accounts, you may need to log out of your external account.

How do I delete an app from my site?

There are different types of apps in the Wix App Market. Some are full-page apps which appear in the Editor. Others are Editor elements or simply dashboard tabs. Depending on the type of app, you need to delete differently.

• Full-page apps: Delete the app from Manage Apps.

• Editor element apps: Click the app in your Editor press Delete on your keyboard.

• Dashboard apps: Delete the app from Manage Apps and follow the steps to delete the app.

How do I cancel an app subscription?

1. Go to Subscriptions in your Wix account.

2. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant app.

3. Click Cancel App.

4. Select Cancel auto renew and click Submit.

Note: It is not possible to receive a refund for an app subscription. Once you cancel the app, you'll be able to continue using it until the end of the subscription period (month or year depending on the app).
