Wix Contacts FAQ

Wix Contacts: Creating and Using Contact Labels

Labels help you group contacts based on their relationship with you and your business. For example, you could create labels for 'leads', 'important clients' or 'service providers'. You can use labels to filter your contacts, send email marketing campaigns to multiple contacts at once and more.

Creating contact labels

Add a label in Contacts in your site's dashboard so you can later assign it to any contact.

  4. Click + Add Label.

  5. Enter the name of the label.

  6. Click the checkmark.

  7. Click Done.

FAQs

Click a question below to learn more about contact labels:

Why do my site visitors already have labels assigned to them?

When a visitor interacts with your site, they are automatically labelled with one or both of the predefined labels:

  • Customers: A visitor who purchases a product from your site's store automatically gets the 'Customers' label.

  • Contacted Me: A visitor who contacts you via a contact form on your site automatically gets the 'Contacted Me' label.

Note: These predefined labels cannot be deleted.

What is the difference between a contact label and a segment?

Labels help you group contacts based on their relationship with your business. Whereas segments help you gain further insight into their interactions with your business. For example, you can segment customers who have spent more than $500 but haven't visited your site in the last three months. This targeted approach strengthens customer relationships and improves sales.
