Wix Forms: Viewing and Managing a Submissions Table

When visitors submit one of your forms, their entries are automatically stored in a submissions table. Use the submissions table to simplify your data management – you can sort and filter the submissions, categorize them, import and export data and more.

How do I know if I'm using old Wix Forms or new Wix Forms?

This article will help you understand the differences between old and new Wix Forms.

Viewing a submissions table

Each form has its own unique submissions table. You can view submission time, the first and last name of the person who submitted the form, as well as their email and message.

New Forms

Old Forms

  1. Go to Forms & Submissions in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click the More Actions icon next to a form.

  3. Select View submissions.

To access a submissions table from your editor:

  1. Click a form in your editor.

  2. Click Edit Form to open the form builder.

  3. Click the Submissions tab at the top.

Managing data in a submissions table

Manage your submissions table to focus on the info that is most important to you. You can sort and filter the submissions to create your own view, then export it as a CSV file.

New Forms

Old Forms

  1. Go to Forms & Submissions in your site's dashboard.

  2. Hover over the relevant form and click the More Actions icon .

  3. Select View submissions.

  4. Choose how to manage your submission data:

Sort submission data

Click the arrow next to the relevant field title to sort the table by that column.

Edit submission data

  1. Click the relevant submission.

  2. Click Edit under Submission details.

  3. Edit the submission as needed.

Export data from the table

  1. Select the checkbox to the left of the relevant submission.

  2. Click Export.

  3. Select the data you want to export.

  4. Click Export.

Mark a submission as spam

  1. Select the checkbox to the left of the relevant submission.

  2. Click Report as spam.

Note:

  • Unmark submissions marked as spam by selecting the checkbox to the left of the relevant submission in the Spam tab, then click Report as not spam.

  • To permanently delete spam submissions, click the More actions icon and select Permanently delete.

  • Spam submissions (submissions filtered automatically by the spam filter or submissions manually marked as spam) will stay in this tab for 30 days, after that they will be permanently deleted.

Mark a submission as trash

  1. Select the checkbox next to the relevant submission.

  2. Click Move to trash.

Note:  You can always restore submissions you previously marked as trash from the Trash tab. Form submissions manually marked as Trash will be kept in the Trash tab for 180 days, after that time they will be permanently deleted.

How do I know if my form is built using old forms or new forms?

It is possible to have both versions of Wix Forms on your site at once. Learn the difference between the old Wix Forms and new Wix Forms.

How do I get the new version of Wix Forms on my site?

New forms are available from the Add panel in your editor. To add a new Wix form to your site:

  1. Go to your editor.

  2. Click Add Elements  on the left side of the editor.

  3. Click Contacts & Forms.

  4. Click Create New Form or select a template from Premade Forms.

Why can't I see updated submissions data?

If you are using old Forms, the latest submission data is pulled from the last time you published your site. Try publishing your site and refreshing to see updated data.
