Wix Events: Deleting an Event

Deleting canceled events and drafts simplifies navigation on your event dashboard. This not only saves time but also helps you stay on top of your event planning.

Whether you're deleting canceled events or unused drafts, clearing out unnecessary items helps you stay focused on active and upcoming events.

Important:

Deleted events cannot be restored. If you only want to remove it from your live site, you can go to your editor to hide the event.

To delete an event draft:

  1. Go to Events in your site's dashboard.

  2. Choose what you want to delete:

Deleting an event draft helps declutter your dashboard and removes any unfinished or unnecessary events, allowing you to focus on finalized plans and active tasks.

  1. Click the Drafts tab.

  2. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant event.

  3. Click Delete Draft.

  4. Click Delete Draft to confirm.

A canceled event

Deleting canceled events from your dashboard helps keep your event list organized and ensures you're only managing active events.

  1. (Optional) Filter your events to access canceled events or search for the relevant event using the search bar.

  2. Click the More Actions icon  next to the relevant event.

  3. Click Delete Event.

  4. Click Delete Event to confirm.

Can I delete a past event that has already taken place?

No. It's not possible to delete past events.

Can I delete a published event that hasn't occurred yet?

No. Currently, it is not possible to delete an event that is published and hasn't taken place yet. Instead, you can cancel it.  Be sure to notify guests and issue refunds if needed.
