Connecting a Domain Purchased from Wix

After purchasing a domain from Wix, you can connect it to any upgraded site in your account. Go to the Domains page in your account and assign your domain to the site you want to connect.

Important:

You must upgrade your site with a plan before you can assign a domain to it.

To connect your Wix domain to your site:

1. Go to Domains in your Wix account.

2. Click the relevant option below to learn how to assign your domain to your site:

Assign a domain that is currently assigned to a different site

1. Click the Domain Actions icon next to the relevant domain.

2. Click Assign to a different Site.
   

3. Select the site you want to connect and click Next.
   Note: If the site you're connecting is currently connected to a different domain, choose an option:Redirect it to the primary domain: Redirect your new domain to the site's existing primary domain.
   Replace the current primary domain: Connect your new domain and disconnect the site's existing domain.
   

4. Click Assign.

Assign a domain that is not currently assigned to a site

1. Click Assign below the domain you want to connect.
   

2. Select the site you want to connect and click Next.
   Note: If the site is currently connected to a different domain, choose an option:Redirect it to the primary domain: Redirect your new domain to the site's existing primary domain.
   Replace the current primary domain: Connect your new domain and disconnect the site's existing domain.
   

3. Click Assign.
