Check-in by Wix: Adding People to an Event Guest List

The Check-in by Wix app makes managing event attendees easy. You can add new guests, update their status to "Going" or "Arrived", or place them on your waitlist.

Adding new guests

You can add new guests to both ticketed and non-ticketed events. This can be done on the day of your event to accommodate last-minute attendees, fill any remaining seats and increase your potential revenue.

Adding guests before the big day?

You can customize each Ticket PDF for easy event organization based on seating, entrance location, or ticket type (e.g. child and adult).

Check-in app

Dashboard

Note: Only event owners can add guests through the app.

  1. Open the Check-in by Wix app.

  2. Tap the relevant event.

  3. Tap Guest List under Event management.

  4. Tap Add New Guest.

Ticketed events

  1. Enter the Guest Details (e.g. name and email).

  2. Select the status from the Guest Status drop-down (Going or Arrived).

  3. Choose the ticket type and status under Ticket Details:Select a Ticket Type from the drop-down (if you created more than one type of ticket).
    Select the relevant Ticket Status (e.g. Not Paid or Paid).
    Decide to send your guest a Ticket PDF.

Non-ticketed events (RSVP)

  1. Enter the Guest Details (e.g. name and email).

  2. Select the relevant status from the Guest Status drop-down (Arrived, Going, Waitlist).

  3. Tap Save.

How can I change the 'Check-In' status of my guest from the app?

  1. Open the Check-in by Wix app.

  2. Tap the relevant event.

  3. Tap Guest List under Event management.

  4. Tap the relevant guest.

  5. Tap the More Actions icon at the top right.

  6. Choose the relevant status.

Can I change the status of my guest from my site's dashboard?

Yes. You can modify a guest's status at any time. For instance, if a guest is on the waiting list and a spot becomes available (e.g. due to a cancellation), you can remove them from the waitlist.

  1. Go to Events in your site's dashboard.

  2. Select the relevant published event.

  3. Click the Guests tab.

  4. Click the Status drop-down next to the relevant guest to change the status.
