Wix Payments: Adding Google Pay as a Payment Method

Add Google Pay as a payment method to help your customers pay quickly and securely using their mobile or desktop device.

Google Pay is currently available for Wix Stores, Wix Bookings and Wix Events only.

General Info

Supported countries

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States.

Supported currencies

EUR, USD, GBP, CAD, CHF

Processing fees

  • EU Countries: 1.9% of the transaction amount + 0.30 EUR

  • Switzerland: 2.3% of the transaction amount + 0.30 CHF

  • United Kingdom: 2.1% of the transaction amount + 0.20 GBP

  • USA: 2.9% of the transaction amount + 0.30 USD

  • Canada: 2.9% of the transaction amount + 0.30 CAD

  • Canada Interac: 0.15 CAD

Notes

The currency used in your Wix site must match the currency in your Wix Payments account. If the currencies do not match, the transactions may be declined. Learn how to change your currency.

Adding Google Pay as a payment method

Before you begin:

You must set up Wix Payments to accept payments via Google Pay on your site.

On checkout, customers will see Google Pay as an express checkout option. Because their accounts are linked to their Google wallet, Google Pay customers simply click and purchase, without having to enter card or shipping details. All this allows you to be paid swiftly, easily and safely.

Google Pay can be added to your site whether or not you are a Google user. You can use any desktop device to add Google Pay to your Wix site.

To add Google Pay:

  1. Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click Manage next to Wix Payments.

  3. Enable the toggle next to Google Pay.

Are there any additional fees for using Google Pay?

There is no additional fee for using Google Pay. Regular Wix Payments fees apply.

Can I use Google Pay with Wix mobile apps?

Google Pay is not currently available as a payment option in Wix mobile apps, such as Spaces by Wix, Fit by Wix, or Dine by Wix.
However, as a site owner, you can use the Wix app to enable or disable Google Pay as a payment method on your site.

What happens to Google Pay if I disable card payments?

Disabling card payments in Wix Payments will also disable Google Pay. You can however, disable Google Pay payments without disabling card payments by disabling the toggle in step 3 above. This removes Google Pay from your payment options at checkout.
