- Wix Harmony Editor: Adding and Setting Up Repeaters | Wix Expert
< Back Using the Wix Harmony Editor Using the editor tools Wix Harmony Editor: Adding and Setting Up Repeaters Important: We're working on releasing CMS in Wix Harmony, which is not yet available in all Wix accounts. Repeaters turn your CMS (Content Management System) collections into designed lists on any page — portfolios, menus, property listings, and more. Add a repeater, connect it to a collection, and manage your content right where you design. Adding a repeater and connecting your collection Add a repeater from the Add panel, then connect it to a new or existing collection. Wix Harmony automatically matches the elements in your repeater — text, images, and buttons — to your collection's fields. Elements that show collection content appear pink. Static elements appear blue. To add and connect a repeater: Go to your editor . Click + Add at the top left of the editor. Select Elements . Click List on the left side of the editor. Click the Repeaters tab. Drag a repeater you like onto your page. Click Connect Collection on your repeater. Choose your content source: New collection: Create a collection to fill with your own content. Existing collection: Select a collection you've already created. Managing the items in your list The Items tab of the Manage Items panel shows every item your repeater displays and where the content comes from. Add, edit, filter, and sort your items without leaving the editor. To manage your items: Click your repeater, then click Manage Items . Tip: Where your content lives: The top of the panel shows which collection your list comes from. Click the collection name to open it. From the Items tab, choose what you want to do: Add an item: Click + Add item at the bottom of the panel to create a new collection item. Edit an item: Click the Edit icon next to an item to update its content. Filter your items: Click Filter to show only items that match conditions you set. Learn more about filtering the items that appear in your repeater . Sort your items: Click Sort to choose the order your items appear in. Learn more about sorting the items in your repeater . Replace the collection: Click the More Actions icon in the panel and select Replace collection to connect a different collection. Wix Harmony automatically chooses which fields from the new collection replace the current ones in the elements. You can click Check field matching to make manual adjustments. Click Replace Collection when you're done. Create item pages: Click the More Actions icon in the panel and select Create a page for each item to give every item its own page. Then choose a template and click Add . Open your collection: Click Open collection at the bottom of the panel to view and edit your full collection. Managing fields and connecting elements The Fields tab lists every field in your collection, with a pink Connected label on fields that display on your page. Use it to put more of your content on the page or add new fields to your collection. To manage your fields: Click your repeater, then click Manage Items . Click the Fields tab. Choose what you want to do: Check a connection: Hover over a field's Connected label to see which element uses it. Click the label to edit or remove the connection. Show a field on your page: Click + Add element under a field to add a new element that displays its content. Then drag the element to the relevant location within your repeater. Add a new field: Click + Add Field , then choose the field type (such as text, number, or image), name your field, and click Add Field . Use system fields: Click System fields to expand values Wix Harmony tracks for you — ID , Created Date , Updated Date , and Owner . Click + Add element under any of them to display it. Connecting elements in your repeater You can connect the text, image, and button elements inside your repeater to your collection directly on the page — without opening the Manage Items panel. On static pages, only elements inside a repeater can connect to your collection. Item pages display one item at a time, so on those pages you can connect elements wherever you place them . Note: The label above an element shows whether it's connected to a collection. Blue means the element is static, pink means it's connected to your collection. Connected elements also show the name of the collection field they display, next to the CMS icon . To connect an element in your repeater: Click the element in your repeater that you want to connect. Connect the element to your CMS collection: Click Connect to {your collection} or click the pink label with the connected field name. Click the Use content from a collection icon . Click the Choose field dropdown and select the collection field you want the element to show. FAQs Click a question below to learn more about repeaters. Can I change the layout of my repeater? Yes.
