For info on using POS on a mobile device , click here . You can add new products to your store's catalog using the Wix POS tablet. Alternatively, you can save time by scanning the products' barcode to upload some of the details. Notes: Products that have product options (e.g. color or size) can only be created on desktop. It's not currently possible to create new Wix Bookings services in the Retail POS tablet. To add a product to the catalog: Open the POS tablet. Tap the Menu icon at the bottom left. Tap Catalog . Tap + New Product at the top right. Enter your product info:Enter the product's name. Enter the product price including cents. (Optional) Add a sale price: Tap the On Sale toggle to enable it. Select a discount type, percentage or amount. Enter the discount value (e.g. 20% or $10) Upload product images:Tap the Add Images icon . Upload one or more images of your product. Set the product's visibility:Click the Point of Sale toggle to make the product available for checkout in the POS tablet. Click the Online Store toggle to display the product in your online store. If you’ve already created events with Wix Live , you can continue using it in the meantime. Wix Live is a great way to host live online meetings and webinars on your site. As well as video conferencing, you and your guests can chat and send emoticon reactions. You can also allow meeting participants to share their screens when presenting. Important: You can host 3 online events for free. To host additional events, upgrade to any Premium plan . On iPhone, Wix Live is supported only on Safari browser. Step 1 | Create an event draft Before you add video conferencing with Wix Live, you must create and save your event draft. To create an event draft: Go to Events in your site's dashboard. Click + Add Event and start creating your event draft . In the Location section, select an option:Online: Select this option for events that only take place online. Enter an Online Location Title (e.g. Online Seminar). Physical Location: Select this option for events that take place both online and in person. Enter the physical location under Event location . Click Create Draft at the top right. Step 2 | Connect to Wix Live Once you have created the event, you can connect to Wix Live. To connect to Wix Live: Go to Events in your site's dashboard. Step 5 | Prepare for the event Before your events starts, test it to check your settings and make sure your camera, microphone, and speakers are set up properly. You can hold one or more 15-minute test videos and share the private test video link with up to 3 other people. To prepare for the event: Go to Live Video in your site's dashboard. Click the event you want to test. Click Test Video . If prompted, click Allow to give access to your camera and microphone. Note: If no popup appears, give permission through your browser settings . (Optional) Click Settings on the left and select an alternate camera, microphone, or speaker. Step 6 | Start Your live event When you're ready, click Start Video . Important: Once the live event has started and stopped, it cannot be restarted. If you click start before the event to see that it is working, do not click stop before the event starts . Live events end automatically 5 minutes after all participants, including the host, leave. If you want to start your video a short time before the event's start time, you'll see a countdown. You can click the countdown to start the event. Early participant will also be able to join. Tip: You can record your online event. This gives you the opportunity to use the recording later. For example, the recording from your live event can be added to a blog post or forum post , shared via social media, or sent as part of an email marketing campaign . FAQs Can a Wix Live event have more than one host? Yes. You can add other people to serve as co-hosts or guest speakers. Let others host by invite them to become site collaborators . This makes it possible for them to join the Wix Live event from the Live Video tab in your site dashboard. Note: Select any collaborator role that gives the guest access to the dashboard. How do guests access the event? When guests sign up for your event they receive a unique "Join Live Video" link in their confirmation email. Can I manually send the event URL to guests? Yes. You can also use this method to share links for an event that has no registration. Keep in mind that the event still can have up to 25 participants (for meetings) or 250 participants (webinars). To manually send the event URL: Go to the Events tab in your site's dashboard. Click Go to Live Video next to the relevant event. Click the tooltip at the top of the event. Click Copy Public URL . Note: There is no way to prevent event guests from sharing this link. Send the link to guests by email, text, or any other method. Can guests share their Wix Live link and give others access for free? No. Wix Live generates a unique link per participant. Only one person at a time can join a Wix Live event with a particular link. How can I share my screen? Simply click the Screen-Share icon at the bottom. Can live event participants share their screens? Meeting participants can share their screens by clicking the screen Screen-Share icon. Webinar participants do not have this option. How can I mute participants? To mute all participants at once, you can click Participants on the left and then Mute All . Note that individual participants can still unmute their microphones. Make sure that the site was published after this page was added. Step 3 | Pause AdBlock on your site Pause AdBlock or any browser extensions that block ads or popups or whitelist wix.com on these browser extensions. In this article, learn more about: Using pinpointing for customer addresses Frequently Asked Questions Using pinpointing for customer addresses If you deliver mostly to areas with good map coverage, we advise you to leave pinpointing enabled. If you delivery to remote areas which are not fully covered by our map service providers, it is best to disable pinpointing to allow customers to enter an approximate addresses. Before you begin: To Sync SKU IQ with Square and Wix, you must purchase a plan that allows you to accept payments . For information on the previous version of Wix Hotels, click here . Add your cancellation and deposit policies so your guests can book with confidence and know exactly what to expect. Your deposit policy appears at checkout. Making your policies clear and easy to understand also helps your customer service staff to resolve issues quickly. In this article, learn more about: Adding your cancellation policies Managing your cancellation policies Adding your deposit policy Managing and disabling your deposit policy Adding your cancellation policies A clear cancellation policy is important for keeping your hotel as close to capacity as possible. Include everything guests need to know about cancellation before they complete their booking. Make clear how much notice guests need to provide before cancelling to receive a full refund. You can also add your fees for last-minute cancellations. Important: After you create a cancellation policy, make sure you add it to all relevant Rate Plans for the policy to take effect (see steps 10-13 in the following section). To add a cancellation policy: Go to Property Settings in your site's dashboard. Click Manage Policies next to Cancellation and deposit policies . Click + Add cancellation policy . Enter the policy name. Enter a detailed policy description. For example, include the number of days before check-in that you charge a fee for cancellation, the amount due, etc. (Optional) Add a penalty to your cancellation policy:Enable the Add penalty condition toggle. Enter how many days before the check-in the penalty will be applied in the event of a cancellation. Choose a cut-off time from the Select time drop-down. For example, 10:00 AM 2 days before check-in. Choose the Fee type:Fixed amount: Enter the fee you charge if the penalty conditions are met. Percentage: Enter the percentage of the room rate you charge if the penalty conditions are met. (Optional) Create additional penalty conditions by clicking + Add new penalty condition . Enable the Activate policy toggle at the bottom to make this policy active on your site. Click Add Cancellation Policy to confirm. Go to Rate Plans under Property Setup in your site's dashboard. Click Edit next to the relevant Rate Plan you want to add the cancellation policy to. Select the relevant cancellation policy from the Cancellation policy drop-down. Click Save . Managing your cancellation policies You can update or deactivate any of your cancellation policies at any time. This is useful during the off-season when you want to attract more guests. Reactivate your stricter policies during high season to help reduce late cancellations. To manage your cancellation policies: Go to Property Settings in your site's dashboard. Click Manage Policies next to Cancellation and deposit policies . Click the More Actions icon next to the relevant policy. Click Edit . Choose what you want to do:Update the policy's details: Change the name and / or description of the policy. Add a new penalty condition: Create another condition with a different penalty involved. Remove a penalty condition: Disable the Add penalty condition toggle so it no longer applies. Note: If you have multiple conditions, click the Remove condition icon next to the one you want to delete. Deactivate the entire policy: Disable the Activate policy toggle at the bottom. You can reactivate the policy at any time. Click Save . Adding your deposit policy If you don't want to charge your guests the full reservation fee upfront, you can add a deposit policy. This can help offset potential losses from late cancellations. To add a deposit policy: Go to Property Settings in your site's dashboard. Click Manage Policies next to Cancellation and deposit policies . Click Edit next to Deposit policy . Select the fee type:Fixed amount: Charge a single, fixed deposit per stay. Percentage: Charge a percentage fee based on the total cost of your guests' stay. Fixed fee per night: Charge a fixed deposit amount for each night. Enter the relevant Fee amount based on your choice above. (Optional) Select the Include tax checkbox to charge guests tax as part of the deposit. Enable the Activate policy toggle to make this policy active on your site. Click Save . Managing and disabling your deposit policy You can update or deactivate your deposit policy at any time. This is useful during the off-season when you want to attract more guests by not charging a deposit. Reactivate your deposit policy during high season to limit losses from no-shows or late cancellations. To manage or disable your deposit policy: Go to Property Settings in your site's dashboard. Designing your storeWix Stores: Adding and Setting Up the Product Widget < Back Designing your store Wix Stores: Adding and Setting Up the Product Widget The Product Widget allows you to display a single product anywhere on your site. You decide what happens when clicked; the Product Page can open or the product can be added to the cart. Note: The Product Widget is not currently available in Wix Studio editor. You can, however, feature products in other ways, for example with a landing page. Learn more about featuring products . Step 1 | Add a Product Widget The Product Widget comes in two styles - a compact style and an expanded style. Choose the style that best suits your needs. To add a product widget: Go to the page to which you want to add the Product Widget. Click Add on the left side of the Editor. Click Store . Click Product Widget . Drag the Product Widget onto your page. Step 2 | Connect the widget to a product The Product Widget allows you to showcase one of your products and makes it easy to purchase. To set it up, choose the product you want to promote. To connect a product to the widget: Click the Product Widget on your page in the Editor. Click Settings . Click the Arrow icon . Select a product. Step 3 | Set the widget behavior Now you can choose whether you want to display a button in the widget. If you display it, you can choose where your customer is directed when they click it - to the Product Page or to the Quick View pop-up. To set the widget behavior: Click the Product Widget on your page in the Editor. Click Settings . Click the Settings tab. Choose when to display the widget button:All the time: The button is always visible. On hover only: The button is visible when a mouse hovers over it (the button does not appear on mobile devices). Never: No button is displayed. Choose what happens when the button is clicked:Go to Product Page: Customers are directed to the Product Page of the product. Add Product to Cart: Customers are directed to the product's Quick View where they can add the product to the cart. Edit the default button text. Edit the "Out of Stock" message that appears automatically when inventory is zero. Step 4 | Customize the widget layout Each of the two Product Widget styles has a variety of layout options. Click the Layout tab to choose and customize the layout. To customize the layout: Click the Product Widget on your page in the Editor. Click Settings . Click the Layout tab. Choose the style you want to customize: Customize the compact style layout Select a layout. Select the checkboxes next to what you want to appear in the widget. Align the text and button left, right, or center. Set how images are resized :Crop: The image is cut to fit the available space. Fit: The available space changes to fit the full image. Set the spacing between parts of the Product Widget.Height: Change the spacing between the product name and price. Top & bottom padding (px): Change the padding around the bottom section. Side padding (0% - 100%): Move the text and button farther or closer to the side. Button offset (px): Change the space between the button and price (not available with all layouts). Customize the expanded style layout Select a layout. Enable the Stretch to full width toggle to make widget span the width of your browser. Select the checkboxes next to what you want to appear in the widget. Align the text and button left, right, or center. Align the image left or right. Drag the slider to set the image width. Set how images are resized :Crop: The image is cut to fit the available space. Fit: The available space changes to fit the full image. Set the spacing between parts of the Product Widget.Height: Change the spacing between the product name and price. Side padding (0% - 100%): Move the text and button farther or closer to the side. Button offset (px): Change the space between the button and price (not available with all layouts). Step 5 | Design the widget Select the perfect colors, borders, fonts and more for your product widget. To update the widget design: Click the Product Widget on your page in the Editor. Click Settings . Click the Design tab. Update the design using any of the available options. Tell me more about the design options Backgrounds & Borders: Choose a color for the background and border of your widget to make it stand out on your site. On some layouts you can also customize the length and width of the divider under the text on the widget. Text: Select a color and font for the text on the widget. Make sure your customers can read the text clearly. Button: Customize the widget button style, colors, size and text to encourage your customers to click to access the product details. Hover: Decide how the Product Widget changes when customers move a mouse over it:Nothing: The widget does not change. Overlay: A color overlay appears on hover. Zoom: Customers can zoom in on your product. Border: A border appears around product info. Ribbon: Customize how product ribbons appear on your widget.
