Wix Hotels by Hotelrunner: Changing the ‘Room’ Text on Your Site

Important:

You can edit the translated text, including your 'room' titles, on your Wix Hotels by HotelRunner site to improve the visitor experience and increase bookings from different markets. This includes translations for your 'Book a room' page and each room type's name and amenities.

For example, you may not offer 'rooms' but 'villas' or 'cottages'. You can change these terms across all languages available on your site.

In this article, learn more about:

Changing the 'Room' text in Room Types

Ensure guests know what room type they are booking by updating your 'room' text across all languages you support on your site. You can do this from the Room Types section of the Languages tab under Property Setup in the dashboard. This provides a better experience for both your guests and your staff.

Note:

Updating the 'Room' text in room type changes the appearance for you and your staff in the backend of your site. You should also update the 'Room' text in the Booking Engine so visitors and guests see what the staff sees (see section below).

To change the 'room' text on your site:

  1. Go to Languages in your site's dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Translate your content section.

  3. Select the language in which you want to edit your site text from the drop-down on the right.

  4. Click Translate next to Room Types.

  5. Hover over the relevant room type and click Translate.

  6. Select the relevant language from the Translate into drop-down at the top right.

  7. Click to edit any of the translated text.

  8. Click Save.

To change the 'Room' text in the Booking Engine:

  1. Go to Languages in your site's dashboard.

  2. Scroll down and click to expand Property Settings.

  3. Hover over Booking Engine and click Translate.

  4. Select the relevant language from the Translate into drop-down at the top right.

  5. Enter "Room" in the search bar in the top right.

  6. Enter the relevant text for each relevant reference to "room" on the booking engine.
