Selling event tickets

Wix Events: Setting Up a Payment Method

Before you can start selling event tickets, you need to set up at least one payment method. Choose from various online payment options available in your region, or set up manual payments to collect offline payments (e.g. in person, through another app, by mail).

Important:

You must upgrade your site to a Premium or Studio plan that supports payments in order to accept payments.

To set up payments:

  1. Go to Accept Payments in your site's dashboard.
Tip: Check your business location at the top right. If incorrect, click the drop-down to change it.

  2. Click Connect next to the payment provider you want to use, or click See More Payment Options at the bottom to view more options.

  3. Choose the relevant payment method(s):

Wix Payments

Connect to Wix Payments, offering a secure system to manage orders, payments, payouts, refunds, and chargebacks from one dashboard.

Wix Payments accepts all major credit cards and popular payment methods like Apple Pay, Google Pay, depending on your location.

PayPal

With PayPal, you can accept PayPal payments, credit cards, and debit cards. Guests are directed to PayPal for payment, and they can use a credit card even without having a PayPal account.

Apple Pay

Let guests on iOS devices checkout using Apple Pay. The Apple Pay button is displayed only to people viewing your site with a Safari browser on IOS or macOS devices.

Tip: You can add Apple Pay to your site even if you are not an Apple user.

Manual

Accept cash, payment though apps, checks, bank transfers, or any other form of payment that is not tracked online. When selecting this method, guests see instructions at checkout explaining how to complete payment.
