  • Studio Editor: Adding and Customizing Shape Dividers | Wix Expert

< Back Studio, Partners & Enterprise Wix Studio Studio Editor: Adding and Customizing Shape Dividers Add shape dividers to create an interesting and stylish transition between sections. Instead of using clear-cut lines to divide content, choose a shape (e.g. Ellipse, Waves) or upload your own. These dividers can go at the top and bottom of a section, and you can customize their design as needed. Adding a shape divider Get started by adding a shape divider to the relevant section. You can add a divider to the top or bottom of the section, or both. There are a range of shapes you can choose from, as well as additional designs in the Media Manager. You can also upload your own SVG file to give this transition a personal touch. Uploading your own file? See the FAQs section below for guidelines on file size and proportions. To add a shape divider to your section: Go to your editor . Select the relevant section. Click the Shape Dividers icon . Click the Top or Bottom tab to choose where to add the divider. Select a divider to add: Suggested designs: Click one of the styles available in the panel. Additional designs offered by Wix: Click + More Shapes . (In the Media Manager) Select a design from the Media from Wix tab. Click Choose File to apply it. Your own shape divider: Click + More Shapes . (In the Media Manager) Select the shape the Site Files tab, or upload a new one. Click Choose File to apply it. Tip: After selecting a shape from the Media Manager, it appears as More shapes in the Shape Dividers panel for the specific section. To customize the design of a preset shape divider: Go to your editor . Select the relevant section. Click the Shape Dividers icon . Click the Top or Bottom tab to access the divider you want to design. Click Customize Design at the bottom. Choose how you want to adjust the look of the shape divider: Opacity & color: Choose the color you want for the divider, and make it more or less visible on the section. Layer effect: Enable the toggle to add a fade effect to the divider, then select a direction from the drop-down: Centered: The effect is visible on the entire divider. Flip: Set the divider to display the opposite way (horizontally) on your section. FAQs Click a question below to learn more about shape dividers. Are shape dividers responsive? Some shape divider designs are fully responsive, which means they adjust to the size of your visitors' screens. More complex designs (such as 'New York Skyline' and 'Bottom of the Sea') cannot stretch without losing their proportions, so they're automatically scaled / cropped for the screen size. What kind of custom shape dividers can I upload? It is only possible to upload and use SVG files as shape dividers on your site. PNG and JPG files are not supported. When uploading your SVG, keep the following in mind: SVG files you upload must be no larger than 250KB. The recommended proportion size for your own SVG files is a width of 1920px, and a height between 50-300px. Can I customize the design of my own uploads? Yes. The available design options for your custom divider depend on the specific file you upload. In order to customize the design of your SVG, the file needs to: Be a closed shape. Be completely black (RGB = #000000). Only contain one level of opacity (transparency). Not contain any text, strokes, gradients, filters etc. How do I remove a shape divider from a section? Go to your editor . Select the relevant section. Click the Shape Dividers icon . Click the Top or Bottom tab to access the divider you want to remove. Click None . • Accepting Payments from Your Customers with SCA (PSD2) | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Accepting payments on your site Accepting Payments from Your Customers with SCA (PSD2) Take a look below to find the answers to our most frequently asked questions on the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) requirements for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). What is the PSD2? The PSD2 is the European Commission's framework for electronic payments within the EU. The directive includes requirements for payment services in order to make electronic payments more secure than ever. How does the PSD2 affect my business? The requirements may affect any online entity processing payments where both the seller and the buyer's bank are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) . According to the directive, online transactions must go through your customer's bank in order to fight fraud and reduce the amount of chargebacks you get as a merchant. This means that your customers might need to go through a quick verification process before they can complete their payment. You should be aware of this extra step as customers may ask you about it. Since the PSD2 applies to all payment services, they will become familiar with the verification process over time and feel more secure to purchase products/services from your site. How does it look like to my customers? The authentication process varies from one bank to another, and might involve different requirements depending on the specific bank. It is up to each bank to decide whether extra authentication is needed and what method to use. Generally, your customers should see an authentication page (created by their bank) after filling in their payment details. They must go through the process in order to complete the payment. Do I need to do anything to comply with these regulations? No, you don't. Wix did all the necessary work to ensure our users are in compliance. What should I do if my customers are experiencing issues? Advise them to contact their bank directly. The Strong Customer Authentication process is solely managed by the banks processing the transactions, which means they should be able to resolve any issue your customers might have. If you need more information on how SCA is implemented in your country, we recommend checking with your local regulator. Given the complexity of the requirements, and according to the opinion of the European Banking Authority (EBA), some EEA countries are allowed more time to implement Strong Customer Authentication. • Wix Bookings: Managing Multiple Video Conferencing Links | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Bookings: Managing Multiple Video Conferencing Links Run multiple online video sessions for your services with Wix Bookings. When you first add video conferencing (VC) to a service, connect either a Google Meet , Zoom account or a custom link such as Google Hangouts . This account becomes your default video conferencing option until you add more VC accounts. Link your services to any VC provider by using a custom link. Enter the URL, password, and any other needed information when prompted to connect your VC provider. Important: Upgrade your site to use video conferencing. All services use the same default video conferencing link, or a staff member’s link if assigned. You can’t set a different video conferencing link for each service. The benefits, call hours and participant limits for video conferencing depend on the provider you use (Google Meet, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.) and are not controlled by Wix. Setting up your own VC accounts You can set up your default VC account within any of your services in the Booking Services tab or in the Staff tab . Tip: If you have multiple Wix sites, you can set a different default VC account for each site. To setup your default VC account: Go to Booking Services in your site's dashboard. Note : Skip to step 4 below to set up your VC account from your Staff in your site's dashboard. Click on a service. Scroll down to the Locations section. Click the Add button in the Video Conferencing section (or Edit in the Staff Tab). Choose your preferred type of VC connection: Google Meet: Click Continue . Sign in to your Google Meet account and follow the on-screen instructions. When ready, click Got it . Zoom : Click Continue . Click Continue to proceed. Sign in to your Zoom account and follow the on-screen instructions. Custom Link : Fill in the required fields for the Custom Link. When ready, click Connect . Important: If you disconnect your main VC account, VC links no longer appear for any sessions, even if your staff have their own individual VC accounts. Setting up your staff VC accounts Your business can then offer multiple online services at the same time. If a staff member is assigned to a specific service, then their VC account will be used instead of the main VC account for this service. Tip: Your staff can manually add or remove the Zoom links from any of their sessions at any time. This is useful for last-minute changes to services, where an online service becomes an in-person one, and vice versa. To set up your staff VC accounts: Go to Staff in your site's dashboard. Hover over the relevant staff member profile and click Edit . Click Add Individual Account next to Video conferencing account under Staff settings. Choose the relevant video conferencing account and click Continue . Staff managing their own VC accounts Your staff members can add and manage their own VC links using their staff accounts on your site. Share the steps below with your staff members, so they can set up and manage their own VC links themselves. Important: You must connect a default video conferencing account before your staff can add their own VC links. For staff to set up their own VC account: Go to Booking Calendar in your site's dashboard. Click the Manage dropdown at the top and select Set personal video conferencing . Choose the relevant video conferencing account and click Continue . Managing your VC links VC links for appointments and classes depend on the specific session and staff member details . Courses use your site's default VC link for all sessions unless a custom VC link is added in the calendar. You must first save and create at least one session for the service to create a VC link . Note: Editing a VC link updates all past and future sessions of the course. You must manually notify clients that still have an old link. Choose what you want to do: Create a VC link Go to Booking Calendar in your site's dashboard. Select the relevant online service Click Add Now . Copy the VC link from the confirmation window and send it to your clients or staff members. Update an existing VC link You can edit individual meeting links for existing services and previously booked sessions. For example, if you or one of your staff is sick and wants to host a session remotely, you can change an existing VC link for that specific session. Go to the appointment in your booking calendar . Click the More Actions icon . Click Change to Custom Link . Add the Meeting Link URL : (Optional) Add the link Passcode . (Optional) Add the Description . Select the Notify participants with an email checkbox to inform your clients of the change in VC link. Restore an original VC link Go to Booking Calendar in your site's dashboard. Select the service with the link you wish to restore. Click the More Actions icon . Click Restore Default Link . Remove a custom VC link Go to the Staff Page . Click Edit on the staff member whose custom link you wish to delete. Click the Delete icon in the Video Conferencing section of their staff profile. Note: You can also add a VC link to any session that was previously offline. Removing VC links from your automated emails You have complete control over how your clients access VC links. You can remove VC links from your booking confirmation emails. To remove VC links from automated emails: Go to Booking Settings in your site's dashboard. Click Emails & SMS notifications . Click Edit next to Send clients an email confirmation when they book under Notifications you send . Scroll down to Create an email and click Edit under the preview image. These effects engage site visitors while ensuring optimal performance. Adding a WebGL effect Head over to the Inspector panel to add a WebGL effect to a section media background. You can choose from various different presets, depending on the look and interaction you want to achieve. Note: It is not possible to combine background scroll effects and WebGL effects. Each effect comes with its own set of adjustable settings—like intensity, speed, and direction—giving you full control over how it interacts with your content. Click the Open Inspector icon at the top right of the editor. Click the Animations and Effects tab . Click the More Actions icon next to the WebGL effect. Select Remove . FAQs Click a question below to learn more about WebGL effects in the Studio Editor. Do WebGL effects work on touchscreen devices? Some WebGL effects require a mouse cursor, so they won't show up on touch devices: Noisy track , RGB orb and Liquify can only be triggered by mouse movement. In this case, you can switch to a different effect to resolve the issue. In Slitscan and RGB split , you choose what triggers the effect. If mouse movement is your sole trigger, the effect is disabled on touch devices. To make the effect appear, add another trigger (e.g. Autoplay). The Ripples effect is set to autoplay on any device, so it shows up on touch screens with no action needed on your part. Why is the option to add WebGL effects grayed out in my editor? There could be several reasons: You might have added a GIF background, which does not support WebGL effects. You might have set your media background to Tiles (under Fitting options ). To change the fit of the background: Select the relevant section. Click the Open Inspector icon at the top right of the editor. Scroll down to Fitting options under Design . Select Original size or Scale to fill . This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? Contact Us Today! Submit
