- Studio Editor: Creating a Studio Version of a Wix Editor Site | Wix Expert
< Back Studio, Partners & Enterprise Wix Studio Studio Editor: Creating a Studio Version of a Wix Editor Site Built a site in the Wix Editor? Transferring it to Wix Studio allows you to rebuild the site with advanced design options - all while keeping the site's dashboard and data. Moving from the Wix Editor to the Wix Studio Editor creates a new version (branch) of the site that you can edit separately. This doesn't unpublish or affect the original site, so you and your clients won't have to worry about downtime. Learn more about Wix Studio branches . Important: If you choose to create a Wix Studio branch, there are some things to keep in mind: It's only possible to create a Wix Studio version of a Wix Editor site with a Premium plan . If you choose to publish the Studio version of the site, you will need to upgrade to a Wix Studio plan . If you publish the Studio branch, it is not possible to go back and republish the original Wix Editor branch. Creating a version on Wix Studio To get started, create a Wix Studio branch of an existing Wix Editor site. Branches share most data and apps, so you don't need to worry about losing any of the site's information. Good to know: The design of the site is not carried over to the Wix Studio branch. You can build the new version in the Studio Editor to create the design you want. To create and edit the Studio version of the site: Go to Sites in your Wix account. Click the Site Actions icon next to the relevant Wix Editor site. Select Create a version on Studio . Click Create Studio Version . Setting up apps on your Studio branch After creating a Studio branch, access the editor to set up the relevant apps. Some apps may not be carried over due to a technical issue on our end. You can always manually add them from the My Business panel if that's the case. Important: Some apps are unsupported in Studio , and therefore cannot be added to your Studio branch. To set up apps on a Studio branch: Go to your site's dashboard . Click Site & Mobile App in the panel on the left. (If needed) Click Website under Website Overview in the left panel. Click Edit next to the Studio branch. - Resolving Payment Issues for Wix Services | Wix Expert
< Back Billing & premium subscriptions Charges, payments and tax Resolving Payment Issues for Wix Services Resolve payment issues to ensure an uninterrupted service for your Wix account. There are a few different issues that may be blocking your payment. Many of these issues can be quickly and easily fixed. Take a look below at some of the common reasons why you may be having payment issues. Reasons for Payment Failure Your upgrade payment may not have gone through due to one of the following reasons: The payment was declined by your credit card provider. The credit/debit card entered has expired or does not have enough funds. The credit/debit card number is invalid, or has been reported as lost/stolen. The CVV code was entered incorrectly. The credit/debit card is not valid for online or cross-border transactions, or transactions in a foreign currency. Tip: A CVV code is a number on your credit card or debit card which is in addition to your card number/account number, expiration date, and PIN. Different issuers have different names and locations for them: On Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and Discover credit/debit cards, it is a three-digit number on the back of your card, to the right of the signature box. For American Express, the CVV is a four-digit code, called the 'card identification number' (CID). The American Express CID is on the front of the card above your account number. Resolving Payment Issues To resolve these issues, try the following steps: You may need to get in touch with your bank to find out why the payment has not gone through. For example, your bank can confirm if you are using the correct account details. Once the issue is resolved, you can try the upgrade again. Try upgrading with a different credit/debit card. Try to make your payment on a different internet browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox), or try clearing your browser's cache. Learn how to clear your browser's cache . If you are still experiencing problems upgrading after contacting your bank, please contact us for help. - Facebook & Instagram Ads with Wix: Best Practices For Image and Video Ads | Wix Expert
< Back Promoting your site Running campaigns and paid ads Facebook & Instagram Ads with Wix: Best Practices For Image and Video Ads When you build your ad content during campaign setup you can choose between an image or video ad. Make sure you're following best practices when picking media as well as writing supporting ad text to get the best performing ad campaign. Best practices for image ads Capture your target audience's attention with a visually stunning image. Follow Meta's recommended best practices to help your image ad stand out. Showcase your product and/or service with your image Capture your brand essence with a clear picture that showcases your product or the benefits of your service. Someone viewing your ad should immediately understand what you're advertising without having to search for the point of the ad in the photo. Use high resolution images The better resolution your images are the more professional your ad will look. Follow the image formatting guidelines below to make sure your image doesn't turn out blurry or pixelated. Don't crowd the image with text Your ad's text should be kept to the headline, description, and call-to-action. Don't try to add text on top of the image. However, if you need to add text on top of your image, keep the text minimal and to a corner of the image rather than spread across it. Best practices for video ads More and more brands create video ads for Facebook and Instagram. Follow Meta's guidelines below for creating a successful video ad. Keep videos to 15 seconds max Create videos for the short attention spans of social media. If your videos are 15 seconds or less, your target audience is more likely to watch to the end. Make sure you showcase the most important part of your video ad (the product or service) towards the beginning. Use vertical or square videos Upload videos with a vertical or square aspect ratio (Meta recommends 4:5 vertical ads). As most people scroll through Facebook and Instagram vertically, choosing vertical videos helps you maximize screen space. Remember people watch ads with sound off Wherever possible in your video ad try to add dynamic text or graphics. People often consume ad content with the sound off, especially in public places. Add captions to your video as well. Formatting guidelines for images and videos Make sure you follow Meta's recommendations for image file type and resolution to get the highest quality ad image. For video ads, Facebook & Instagram Ads with Wix has its own product recommendations. Image formatting File type: .png or .jpg Resolution: Upload the highest resolution image available. For ad images with a link, Facebook recommends 1,080 x 1,350 pixels. The minimum pixel requirements are 500px by 500px on desktop and a width of 320 on mobile. - CMS: Limiting the Maximum Items Displayed with the Items per Load Dataset Setting | Wix Expert
< Back Advanced features CMS CMS: Limiting the Maximum Items Displayed with the Items per Load Dataset Setting Datasets facilitate the connections between your page elements and your CMS collection items. From the Items per load dataset setting, you can control the maximum number of items that can load at a time in the elements that connect to the dataset. This is both the maximum items that can initially load and the maximum items that load when visitors click 'Load More' buttons. The Items per load field also sets the maximum items that can load per 'page' in 'Previous/Next page' buttons and pagination bars (Wix Editor only). For example, if you set the Items per load field to "4", up to 4 items will display in your gallery or repeater. When a visitor clicks your 'Load More' button, up to 4 more items load in the gallery or repeater . The default Items per load number is set to 100 on all page types except for dynamic item pages, which can only display one item at a time. You can set this field to show up to 1,000 items at a time. Tip for optimizing your page loading time: Use a lower number in the Items per load field to help your pages load faster with fewer items on the initial load. Adjusting the 'Items per load' dataset setting Go to the dataset settings of the relevant dataset to edit the Items per load field. Wix Editor Go to your editor and navigate to the relevant page. Go to the relevant dataset settings: Click the repeater, gallery, or other element in which you want to adjust the items per load. Click the Connect to CMS icon . Click Dataset Settings in the panel on the right. Edit the Items per load field to adjust the maximum items that can load at a time in the dataset's connected elements. This is also the maximum items that can load when visitors click 'Load More' buttons, 'Next/Previous page' buttons, and pagination bars. Click Preview to test how your page will load. Click Publish if you are ready to make the changes go live. Studio Editor Go to your editor and navigate to the relevant page. By default, the Items per load field is set to 100 items or 1 item for dynamic item pages. To ensure the best loading experience for your site visitors, you can display up to 1000 items per load on your page. Add a 'Load More' button to provide visitors with a way to click and view more items on the page. You can also add 'Previous/Next page' buttons and pagination bars (Wix Editor only) to limit the number of items displayed per 'page' of items. Learn more about: Adding a 'Load More' button to a repeater Adding a 'Load More' button to a pro gallery Why should I add 'Load More' or 'Previous/Next page' buttons? Adding 'Load More' or 'Previous/Next page' buttons to the dataset that connects to your repeater or gallery enhances the user experience and optimizes loading performance. Key Reasons: Improved Loading Performance: Displaying a large number of items at once can slow down your site. These buttons help segment the load, making your site faster and more responsive. User Control: Users can choose to view content at their own pace, which can be more engaging than scrolling through a long list. Better Organization: These buttons allow for better content organization, making it easier for users to navigate and find what they’re looking for. How do I create a 'Load More' button? 'Load More' buttons allow visitors to click to load more items in repeaters or galleries connected to datasets. The total maximum items that can load at a time is determined by the Items per load field in the dataset settings. You can set this field to show up to 1,000 items at a time. To create a 'Load More' button, add a button or image, connect it to the dataset and set the element's click action to Load more . For directions, see the question below titled: Why doesn't my pro gallery's 'Load More' button respond to the dataset settings? Why doesn't my pro gallery's 'Load More' button respond to the dataset settings? The pro gallery has a built-in 'Load More' button that can restrict the number of media items displayed in the gallery. If you enable this 'Load More' button in the gallery's layout settings, it uses these settings to determine when to appear and how many more images load. With the gallery's built-in 'Load More' button, the dataset's Items per load setting determines the aggregate total maximum items that can load in the gallery. However, it no longer determines how many items initially load in the gallery or how many additional items load when visitors click this 'Load More' button. Consider the type of collection field your gallery connects to when deciding which 'Load More' button to use: Image field type: If your gallery connects to an image field used to display only 1 image per collection item, create a 'Load More' button that connects to the dataset. View the steps in the FAQ above to learn how. In the dataset settings, connect the dataset action according to the type of page: Dynamic list pages: Set the Click action connects to field to Next page or Previous page . When visitors click the buttons, the next or previous 'page' of items loads in the connected repeater or gallery. The Items per load field determines the maximum items per 'page'. Dynamic item pages: Set the Click action connects to field to Next dynamic page or Previous dynamic page . When visitors click the buttons, they navigate to the next or previous item's version of the page at the item's dedicated dynamic URL . Static pages: Set the dataset's Click action connects to field to Next item or Previous item . When visitors click the buttons, the dataset's connected elements change to reflect the next or previous item retrieved by the dataset.
