- Wix Logo: Best Practices for Logo Design | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Creating a logo for your business Wix Logo: Best Practices for Logo Design When it comes to design, your creativity is the only limit. Below are some guidelines to help you achieve a clean, sleek logo with a professional edge. Learn more about our guidelines for: Logo layout Logo colors Hiding elements in your logo Logo Layout The smaller the width of the logo, the bigger the logo will appear inside its margins, as well as in small file sizes like a social profile image and a website logo. You can break the name into separate lines, or even use the tagline to split the name in order to create a shorter line. If you have a tagline, try to keep it short and catchy. A long tagline may not be readable in a small version of your logo. Logo Colors Make sure the elements contrast against their background. Some color combinations might obscure the text or icons you've added to your logo, and may even make them look pixelated in small sizes. Be careful with extremely thin font weights or thin-lined icons and shapes, as they can look blurred or even invisible in small sizes. Tips: When designing a logo, make sure that it looks good in all sizes, from large to small. Try to zoom out / check it in a small size like it normally appears on your brand materials, and check that everything is clear, and the text is readable. Avoid overlapping text when designing your logo, as the texts blend into one color and are unreadable in some files. This happens in the following file types: Standard logo files: Black on Transparent, Black on White, White on Black and White on Transparent. Resizable vector files: Black and White. Hiding elements in your logo Currently, it is not possible to hide a part of an element in the Logo Maker. You can vote for this feature here . If you want to hide a whole element in your logo, please follow the instructions given here . Avoid doing the following: Making an element the same color as the logo background to hide it. Covering elements of a logo with shapes or icons. Moving elements outside the Logo Maker's borders, as they will be visible in the final logo files. Note: Overlapping shapes and icons have lower opacity in black and white files in order to prevent blending of the elements of the same color. Tip: Click here for information on how to customize your logo. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? Tip: See Per session or With a plan above for detailed steps. Step 3 | (Optional) Create add-ons Add-ons let your clients personalize their bookings by adding extra options to their class session. They're displayed in a group per service, so clients see clear and organized choices when booking. Each group is unique to its service, but you can use the same add-on in multiple groups or services. For example, for a yoga class, you can create an 'Extras' group with add-ons like a yoga mat rental, a towel, or a post-class smoothie. Important: Classes can have only 1 group of add-ons, and these add-ons can’t add extra duration. Add-ons are not available for free services or services that can only be booked with a pricing plan. If there's no active shipping, local delivery, or pickup rule for a region set up in Wix or through a third-party shipping app, customers from that region cannot make purchases from your store. Let's look at an example. A merchant sets up shipping only in the US. As soon as a customer from outside of the US enters their location (in the Cart or the Checkout Page), they'll see a message indicating that the store doesn't deliver to their area. Can I add a handling fee to free shipping? Yes. Click the More Actions icon and select Add handling fees . Then, select the checkbox, enter the handling fee, and save your changes. How can I delete or deactivate a region or a rate? You can delete any regions you don't need. For example, If you don't want to ship worldwide, you can delete the International region. Simply click the More Actions icon next to the region name and click Delete region . Alternatively, if you want to make international shipping unavailable for a while, but don't want to delete your settings, you can click Deactivate region. To delete a rate that you set up in a region, Hover over the relevant rate and click the Delete icon . This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that!
