- Wix Analytics: Discrepancies Between Wix Analytics & Data in Other Tracking Tools | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Analytics for your site and business Wix Analytics: Discrepancies Between Wix Analytics & Data in Other Tracking Tools If you are using Wix Analytics and other tracking tools, such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, or Facebook Ads, you may find there are differences in your data. Note: The most common reasons for seeing discrepancies in analytics data are cookie consent and the different algorithms used to filter bot traffic. Read more about these reasons below. Google Ads data discrepancies Click below to learn more about the differences between Wix Analytics and Google Ads data. Discrepancies caused by disabled URL auto-tagging If there are discrepancies between your site's Wix Analytics data and Google Ads data, check if URL auto-tagging is enabled. If auto-tagging is disabled, most of your traffic will be tagged as organic. Tagging your Google Ads URLs Metrics that are similar, but not the same In Wix Analytics , a Site Session is all of the actions performed by a visitor, and ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you compare Google Ad Clicks to Wix Analytics Site Sessions , it's possible you'll see a difference in your data. This is because the same visitor can click your ad more than once during a session. Facebook Ads data discrepancies Click a title below to learn more about the differences between Wix Analytics and Facebook Ads data: Differences in metric names In Wix Analytics , a Site Session is all of the actions performed by a visitor, and ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you use Facebook Pixel , you'll see Landing Page Views metrics in your Facebook metrics. Landing Page Views can be compared to Site Sessions in Wix Analytics. Facebook's Link Clicks metrics should not be compared to Site Sessions in Wix Analytics. Learn more: Facebook Visits Metric Information Facebook Metrics for Website Visitors Ads Differences in Traffic Source attribution models Attribution models are customer touchpoints, showing which marketing campaigns and social media platforms are used to find and then revisit your site in a 30 day period. Due to the differences in traffic source attribution models, you might see more visits (landing page views) in Facebook metrics than in Wix Analytics. Traffic Source in Wix Analytics: The traffic source is where the visitor was referred from. If a visitor clicks a Facebook Ad, the traffic source is Facebook. Traffic Source in Facebook metrics: Wix gathers traffic data from sources that Facebook is not aware of, which can lead to data discrepancies. Example: A visitor clicked a Facebook ad, then received a marketing email sent through your Wix site, and they clicked a link in the email. Wix will attribute the visit to email marketing, and Facebook will attribute it to Facebook ads. If you’re using the Wix Facebook Ads tool, you can count visits like these the same way Facebook does. Meaning, if a visitor clicked a Facebook ad in the last 7 days, and then came via email marketing, you can still attribute the visit to Facebook Ads by selecting the Wix FB Ads Last Click attribution model. Learn more about Facebook attribution models Differences in data due to visitors changing devices or browsers Wix Analytics data: The data collected is based on site sessions, and each sessions limited to the browser in use at that time. If someone clicks a Facebook Ad, but completes the purchase later on a different device or browser, the order will not be attributed to the Facebook Ad. Facebook Ads data: Facebook can track data from the same person over different devices and browsers. This means that if someone clicks a Facebook Ad and completes a purchase later on using a different device, the order is attributed to the Facebook Ad. Google Analytics data discrepancies Click below to learn more about the differences between Wix Analytics and Google Analytics data. Differences in traffic data Wix Analytics and Google Analytics filter out traffic from bots such as computer scripts, search engines, and QA checks by default. As Google and Wix use different algorithms to filter bot traffic, your analytics data may show different results. Differences in sales and people reports The differences in sales and people reports between Wix Analytics and Google Analytics are due to the different ways in which data is collected and processed: Wix Analytics has access to production data in your Wix site, such as your contact list and transaction database. Wix Analytics will not show you cancelled orders, and it will show you zero sum (free) orders. Google Analytics data source is client events. Client events might be lost due to network issues, or not collected if cookies are not enabled, or if javascript does not run. Google Analytics will show you cancelled orders, and won't show you zero sum (free) orders. Differences in metric names Metric names between Wix Analytics and Google Analytics aren't always an exact match. When comparing data, note: Users in Google Analytics = Visitors in Wix Analytics. Traffic Channe l in Google Analytics = Referring Category in Wix Analytics. Referral in Google Analytics = Referring URL in Wix Analytics. Page in Google Analytics = Page Path in Wix Analytics. Transactions in Google Analytics = Orders in Wix Analytics. Revenues in Google Analytics = Total Sales in Wix Analytics. Differences in time frames When Google show stats for the last 7 days, the end date they refer to is yesterday. In Wix Analytics, the last 7 days time period includes today. This applies to all "Last X" time periods (last 30 days, last month, last year, etc.) Other reasons for data discrepancies Click below to find more reasons for data discrepancies in Wix Analytics. Cookie Consent data discrepancies If your site has a cookie consent banner, Wix Analytics data can only be collected from visitors who have clicked "Accept". Our analysis shows approximately 50% of visitors accept cookies, so if you have a Cookie Consent banner, it's fair to assume your traffic data should be doubled. Learn more about displaying cookie banners Discrepancies due to different bot algorithms Wix Analytics and other tracking tools filter out traffic from bots such as computer scripts, search engines, and QA checks by default. As each tool uses different algorithms to filter bot traffic, your analytics data may show different results. Tip: Check out the 'Bot Traffic over Time' report on the All Reports page in your dashboard to see the amount of traffic your site is getting from bots. Discrepancies when using multiple marketing channels Wix Analytics collects traffic data from multiple marketing channel sources such as Facebook Ads, and Google Ads. The data in Facebook and Google may not be exact match to Wix Analytics data, as their data is based on one source. Discrepancies caused by Analytics Blockers Your site visitors can set their browser preferences to prevent the collection of data on specific websites, which can result in data discrepancies. Discrepancies caused by timezone differences There may be discrepancies between Wix Analytics and other analytics tools data due to different reporting timezones. For example: If your Wix account's time zone is set to Dublin GMT 00:00, and your Google Analytics account time zone is set to Kiev GMT +02:00, there will be a two hour difference in data collected. To change the time zone in your Wix account: Go to Settings in your site's dashboard. Scroll to the General section and click Languages & Region . Scroll to Time zone and update your time zone as required. Discrepancies due to data latency Wix Analytics and other analytics tools have different latency periods. There is a 1 hour latency in Wix Analytics. For the most accurate overview, compare long date ranges instead of hour by hour data. Discrepancies resulting from HTTPS redirects in promotion tool ads If your site is uses HTTPS , the referral data will be stripped out as direct data if you use http :’your site address’ in Google Ads or Facebook Ads. Missing clicks in promotion ad tools Not all clicks on your ads will result in your site page loading. Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? Contact Us Today! Submit

FAQs Click a question below to learn more about connecting custom domains to your Link in Bio page. I connected my existing domain to Hopp, but it redirects to my site. Why is this happening? When connecting an existing domain to your Link in Bio page, make sure that you connect your Link in Bio as a subdomain (e.g. 'bio.yourdomain.com' instead of 'yourdomain.com'). As the main domain is already associated to your site, the same link can't be used for your Link in Bio page. I just purchased a new custom domain, but am unable to connect it to my Link in Bio. Why? It can take up to a few hours for the new domain to connect fully to your Link in Bio page. During this time, you can still use your previous Hopp URL (e.g. "hopp.bio/handle"). Will my custom domain apply to my instant pages and shortened links? Currently, your custom domain applies to your Link in Bio page and instant pages , but not to short links . Instant page URLs use your custom domain, for example: yourdomain.com/instantpage-name Shortened link URLs keep the Hopp format, for example: yourhandle.hopp.to/link-name Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? In most cases you add a dynamic page for your catalog, then customize it to fit your site. Before you begin: Make sure to create your catalog collection before adding dynamic pages for it. Adding dynamic pages for your catalog Catalog collections use dynamic item pages and dynamic list pages to display collection content on your site. The item page shows one item at a time, and the list page shows multiple items together. Add a dynamic page to show your catalog items on your site. You can change any connection later, or start with a blank page and connect the elements yourself. Studio Editor Go to your editor . Click CMS on the left side of the editor. Click Your Collections . Hover over the relevant catalog collection, click the More Actions icon , and select Add dynamic page . Select the type of dynamic page you want to add: Catalog List Page: Shows multiple items in elements within a repeater. Adding purchase actions to a dynamic page If you added a Catalog Item Page or Catalog List Page , you already have purchase buttons on it. Use the steps below to add another button, or to add purchase actions to a blank page or to a dynamic page you created before you started selling. A purchase action button is a regular button or image connected to a dataset. Each one has a click action — Add to cart or Buy now — that decides what happens when a customer clicks it. On a list page, you can put a purchase button inside a repeater so customers can add items without opening each item page. Studio Editor Go to your editor and navigate to the relevant dynamic page. Add a regular button or image to use as your purchase action button. Click the button or image, then click the Connect to CMS icon . Make sure the dataset connects to your catalog collection. Click the Click action connects to dropdown and select the action you want to assign to the button: Add to cart: When clicked, a side panel opens where the customer can add the item to their cart. Buy now: When clicked, the customer navigates to the checkout page where they can purchase the item. Click Change Text on the button to customize the static text that displays on the button (e.g. "Add to cart" or "Buy now"). Alternatively, you can display dynamic text from your collection by selecting the relevant field from the Label connects to dropdown in the Connect Button panel. Managing your orders Orders from catalog collections are managed from your site's dashboard. This is where you can review purchases and handle fulfillment steps. Learn more about managing your orders . FAQs Click for answers to common questions about selling items from CMS catalog collections. How is this different from Wix Stores? Catalog collections are a good fit when your CMS collection is the main source of truth for the items you sell. Wix Stores is usually a better fit if you need store-first features like product variants, more advanced merchandising, or more complex inventory workflows. Can I sell digital files from catalog collections? Yes. If your collection includes a 'Digital asset' field and that field is mapped as the digital file for sale, customers can receive a secured file after purchase. Can I use automations with catalog collections? Catalog collections work with Wix commerce automations for actions like purchases and abandoned carts. What happens to my existing dynamic pages if I enable selling? Your existing dynamic pages stay in place. If you want visitors to purchase from those pages, add buttons and connect them to the relevant purchase actions . Can I import a CSV file to create a catalog collection? You cannot currently import a CSV file to create a new catalog collection. As a workaround, you can import your CSV file into a regular collection first, then convert that collection into a catalog collection. This is useful if you want to bulk-add items before setting up selling. After you have a catalog collection, you can import a CSV file directly into that existing collection. How do customers receive digital files? Customers receive the file through the digital delivery flow after purchase. Can I format prices with currency symbols? Yes. Use the PRICE expression function to display 'Number' field values with your site's currency symbol and formatting. Connect a text element to your catalog collection using a dataset, select Expression as the connection type, and enter PRICE(price) — replacing "price" with the relevant number field from your collection. Learn more about using the PRICE function . What happens if I duplicate a collection field that is mapped to a catalog field? When you duplicate a field that is mapped to a catalog field, only the original field remains mapped to the catalog field. Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? Contact Us Today! Submit

- Wix Bookings: Creating a Monthly Pricing Subscription for Courses | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Bookings: Creating a Monthly Pricing Subscription for Courses When you create a course with monthly pricing, you can charge participants a fixed fee each month instead of collecting the full course price upfront. This works well for long-running programs such as children's activity classes, semester-based courses, or annual programs. The first payment is collected at checkout, and the remaining payments are charged automatically on the 1st of each following calendar month, based on the payment schedule you set. Important: Make sure you add a payment provider that supports recurring payments . Creating a monthly pricing subscription for a course Create a monthly pricing subscription from your site's dashboard so you can charge a fixed monthly fee for a course. Notes: Make sure your payment schedule matches your course schedule. For example, if your course runs from September through June, set the payment schedule to start in September for 10 months. Monthly pricing follows your payment schedule, not your course dates. If the payment schedule starts before the course begins, participants who join after the schedule has started are only charged from the month they join. They are not charged for months in the payment schedule that have already passed. To set up a monthly pricing subscription: Go to Booking Services in your site's dashboard. Click + Add a New Service in the top right. Scroll down to Courses and choose what you want to do: Click Edit below the relevant course template. Click + Start from Scratch to use a blank template. Fill out the Service details . Click on the Price & payment section. Click the Price type dropdown and select Monthly pricing . Enter the Price per month . Set up your Payment schedule : Click the When does your course start? dropdown and select the relevant month. Click the How long is your course? dropdown and select the duration of your course. Click Save and continue to set up your course . Tip: Set up a grace period before your first client enrolls. This gives failed payments more time to go through before the subscription is canceled. FAQs Click a question below to learn more about monthly pricing for your course. What does a client pay when they enroll in a course? Clients are charged based on where they are in your payment schedule. If your schedule runs from July through December and someone enrolls in September, they pay for September at checkout and continue with the remaining payments from October through December. Can a client join after the course has started? Yes. If you set your booking policy to allow participants to join after the course begins , clients can join after the course has started. They are only charged for the months remaining in your payment schedule, not for months that have already passed. How can I prorate first payment for a late joiner or a course that starts mid-month? It is not possible to prorate the first payment automatically. Clients are charged the full monthly amount regardless of when they join during the month or when the course begins. If you want to reduce the first payment for late joiners or mid-month course starts, you can create a coupon and share it with clients to use at checkout. How is monthly pricing different from installments? Monthly pricing follows your payment schedule and charges clients only for payments due while they’re enrolled. Installments split the total course price into fixed payments set upfront, regardless of enrollment date. Do changes to the pricing setup affect existing subscriptions? No. Changes only apply to new enrollments. Existing subscriptions keep their current terms. If you need to update an existing subscription, manage it separately from the Subscriptions page.
