- Wix Analytics: About the Marketing Overview | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Analytics for your site and business Wix Analytics: About the Marketing Overview View all of your business's marketing efforts and see how each activity is performing at a glance with the Wix Analytics Marketing Overview. See both internal marketing efforts with Wix as well as external activities like Facebook Ads or Google Ads, all in one place. The Marketing Overview helps your business by providing a comprehensive and unified view of each marketing activity. Use the data to identify areas of success or improvement as well as to make decisions on how to allocate marketing resources more efficiently. You can find the Marketing Overview page in the Overviews section under Analytics in your site's dashboard. Marketing Overview sections The Marketing Overview is broken into sections based on the type of marketing activity you want to analyze, such as organic search, email marketing, paid ad campaigns, visibility on AI platforms, and more. The page adapts based on your marketing activity, so you always see the most relevant data first. Continue to learn more about each section below. Tips: Click the date picker drop-downs at the top to change the time period that data is pulled from (e.g. last 30 days) and compare it to the previous year or the previous time period (e.g. the previous 30 days). Click View Report in a section to get an in-depth report about that marketing activity. Performance over time The graph at the top shows how your marketing is performing over time by traffic category. Use it to compare trends across different traffic types. Choose what measure to track under Performance by : Sessions: How many sessions your site received from each traffic category over time. Sales: The total sales attributed to each traffic category. Conversion: The conversion rate for each traffic category. Leads: How many leads you received from each traffic category. Bookings: How many bookings were made from each traffic category. Customize the traffic categories you see in the graph by selecting or deselecting the checkboxes to temporarily show or hide a traffic category. For categories like Organic social or AI platforms , you can also choose which platforms to include in the graph (e.g. Facebook, Instagram and ChatGPT, Gemini). Notes: Sales data appears if you have sales in the selected time period and all those sales come from eCommerce apps (e.g. Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurants, Subscriptions). If these conditions are not met, you'll see only Sessions , Leads , and Bookings (if you use Wix Bookings). If you are running any paid campaigns (e.g. Facebook or Google Ads) outside of Wix, you need to add a UTM tracking link for the external campaign so Wix can track the data. Organic search The Organic search section shows which queries and site pages brought people to your site. An organic search result as defined by Google is a free listing in Google Search that appears because it is relevant to someone's search terms. The data in this section of the Marketing Overview is powered by Google Search Console. Clicking the Graph icon lets you view a line graph of Google impressions over time and Google clicks over time. Clicking the Table icon lets you view a more detailed table with impressions, clicks, click-through rate (CTR) and average position. In the table view, choose which organic search data to view: Top queries: View which queries that show your site get the most impressions and clicks, as well as their CTR and average position. Queries by change: View how impressions and clicks for each query changed over time. This helps spot trending queries with the highest positive trend. Top pages: View which site pages appear most often in Google Search results. Check how many impressions and clicks your pages get as well as their CTR and average position. Pages by change: View how impressions and clicks changed for each page over time. This helps identify trending pages and spot pages that are gaining or losing visibility. Note: The data on your site's Google search performance is taken from Google Search Console. Performance data from Google isn't available instantly . Some of the more recent data (e.g. in the last 72 hours) may not appear yet. You can check the last reporting date from Google at the bottom of the Organic Search section. AI platforms This section shows how visible your site is on leading AI platforms. Your visibility score indicates how often AI mentions your site in response to questions your audience may ask. For ChatGPT and Perplexity, you can also view the following data: User queries: The number of times bots on the selected platform crawled your site in response to user queries. Top page queried: The page queried the most times in response to user queries. Learn more about the AI Visibility Overview. Email marketing Measure the performance of your email marketing campaigns and automated emails . This section shows each campaign or email's funnel from delivery to open rates, clicks, and conversions. Hover over any step of the funnel to compare your results to similar sites in your category and location. A thumbs up icon means you're doing better than other sites and a repair tool icon means this step of the funnel can be improved. Click sites like yours at the top right to change your site's category or location, so the benchmarks match your business more closely. Social media posts by Wix Use this section to see how posts published through Social Media Marketing on Wix perform across platforms. View reach, interactions, sessions, and sales for each platform and for individual posts. Click a platform to expand the list of posts and compare how each one performed. Note: To track analytics for your social media posts, you need to upgrade your social media marketing plan. FAQs Click a question below to learn more about the Wix Analytics Marketing Overview. What is the difference between a traffic category and traffic source? A traffic category refers to the broader category where traffic is coming from (e.g. paid traffic vs. organic social traffic). A traffic source is the specific site where traffic came from (e.g. Facebook.com, Google.com). Where can I learn about my paid ad campaigns? Until the paid ad campaign section is ready, you can get insights from the Top Paid Ad Campaigns analytics report . What does Google define as a click? Google counts a "click" as any click that takes someone away from any of Google Search's pages to a non-Google Search page. For example, Google counts a click if a visitor clicks your page on the All tab, the Images tab, or any other tab of Google Search. Google also counts a click if a visitor clicks your page in Google Discover on an Android device. Learn more about clicks What does Google define as an impression? An "impression" is when a user sees a link to your page in any of Google Search's pages. For example, this could mean they saw it in Google search results or in Google Discover on an Android device. The visitor does not need to click your link for the impression to count. Exactly when Google counts the impression is different in each type search result. On the All tab of Google Search, your page gets an impression as soon as a visitor opens the search results page where your site is listed. However, on the Images tab of Google Search, more results load infinitely as the visitor scrolls down. In this case, your page may only gets an impression when it's actually visible in the results. Learn more about impressions Why does the data in the Marketing Overview not match what I see in other reports? This could be due to the following reasons: The Marketing Overview only shows sales, bookings, and leads that happen following a visit to your site. Any sales activity that happens offline, for example manually recorded orders, will not appear on this page. The Marketing Overview shows data in real time, while Analytics reports are delayed by 1–2 hours. If you compare today's data in both places at the same time, the data may not fully match. - Wix Multilingual: Exporting and Importing Site Content for Manual Translation | Wix Expert
< Back Creating a multilingual website Translating your website Wix Multilingual: Exporting and Importing Site Content for Manual Translation Export and import your site content for manual translation. By downloading a CSV file, you can send your content to a professional translator. Once the translations are ready, import the translated content back to your site. Before you begin: Add Wix Multilingual to your site. Add a secondary language . Exporting your site content Begin by exporting your website's content into a CSV file. You can then send the file to a professional translator to have them translate the text. To export your site content: Go to Multilingual in your site's dashboard. Click the More Actions icon next to the relevant language. Click Export Content . Click Export Content again to download the CSV file. Importing your translated content Once you've completed the translation you can import it to your site. This process involves uploading your saved CSV file to the relevant language in your site languages. For example, if you are translating content from English to French, you need to upload the French content to your site's French language. To import your translated content: Go to Multilingual in your site's dashboard. Click the More Actions icon next to the relevant language. Click Import translations . Click Start Now . Click Upload CSV File . Select the relevant CSV file. Click Import Translations . (Optional) Click Review Translations . Review each page and check the status of the translation. Note: The status should say "Translated". Click Save when you are finished reviewing. Publish your site to view the changes live. FAQs Click a question below to learn more: What are the benefits of the import/export process? There are several benefits to importing and exporting your content for translation purposes, but the main benefit overall is that you decide (based on your level of comfort), if you want to translate the content manually yourself, or send it to someone else. Why do I get an error when importing a CSV file with fields that contain code or special formatting? Some fields, like rich content fields, store data as JSON objects. Editing these fields directly in the CSV often disrupts the JSON structure, causing import errors. Unless you’re experienced with JSON formatting, it's best not to translate these fields directly in the CSV. To avoid errors, use the Translation Manager for rich content fields. Look for the Edit translation link in the Translation Manager, which opens a rich content editor. This editor ensures the JSON formatting is correct so you can import your file without issues. What can cause the import process to fail? The import process might fail for several reasons. Check the following: Your file is saved in the CSV format. You haven’t made changes to the “ID” column in the file. Rich content fields (with JSON code) are translated using the Translation Manager to maintain proper formatting. Why do I see more than one language in the exported file? Each exported file contains two languages: the first column includes the content in your Source language, this is your original language (you shouldn’t edit this) and the second column (marked Target language) where you can edit the translation in your target language. I do not see any new translations, what is the reason? The issue is likely caused by one of the following: You added the translated content to the wrong language. Changes to the “ID” column in the CSV file. The last column "Target Language" is empty. What can I do if my file does not download? If a download didn’t start, press the “Download File” button in the green banner that appears at the top of your screen. Is it possible to override content? Yes, when you import your newly translated content, any fields in the translated language column where you entered content, will override existing content in Wix Multilingual for that specific language. Tip: If you wish not to override a specific piece of content, simply leave the field column empty in the file. Is there any site content that cannot be exported? Yes, the exported content doesn’t include content from non-integrated business solutions and Third-party apps. Learn more about translatable content . Can you export/import more than one target language at a time? No, the export/import process works on a language level. Meaning, you can only export one target language per file. What happens if I have existing translations in my target language? The exported file also contains any existing translations in the target language, if they exist. This means that your CSV file will contain both new and existing translations in your target language. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! Important: To use video conferencing, you need to upgrade your site. View site upgrade plan details . General FAQs What is Zoom? Zoom is a platform that allows you to host online video sessions. You can connect to just one person or many. You and your clients can access the session on a variety of devices including computer, phone, and iPad. In a Zoom meeting you can: Hold a meeting with one person or many people Share your screen Mute and unmute participants, or allow them to do so themselves Use the group chat to exchange written messages (or disable chat) Record the session (or allow participants to record) To learn more about what you can do with Zoom, click here . How do I set it up? Start by creating a new service or editing an existing service to move it online. The first time you create an online service, you'll need to connect to your Zoom account. If you don't already have one, you'll be prompted to create one. Finish creating your service and save it. That's all! The next time you want to create an online service with Zoom, you just need to enable the Add Video Conferencing toggle. No need to connect again. I connected to the wrong Zoom account, what do I do? Go to Manage Apps in your site's dashboard. Click the More Actions icon next to the Zoom app. Click Delete . Log out of your Zoom account. Note: If you don't log out, you'll reconnect to the same account in the next step. Reconnect to the correct account while creating your next service. Note: After reconnecting, you can still host the meetings you created with your first account. Just make sure to log in to Zoom using that account and hold the online service. How do my members and I get Zoom links? Accessing your host link: To access your Zoom session, go to your Bookings Calendar or the Wix mobile app and click the session. Note: The link appears for Class or Course sessions only after you get your first booking. How members access their guest links: Clients can access the link themselves from a number of different places: their confirmation email, their reminder email (if you sent one), and their My Bookings page (if your site has a Members Area). If you are using the Wix app , your client can also access the links through the associated Wix Member app. Additionally, you can go to the session in the Wix calendar to copy the participant link. Then send the link to participants. How do my members get Zoom passwords? Zoom provides separate personal profile settings and account settings , that operate differently. Passwords are sent to your clients based on your Zoom account settings. Any changes to your personal profile won't affect Wix integration. You can set default password settings for Wix calls in your account settings by clicking the lock icon. I received an email from Zoom requesting I reconnect my Zoom account. What should I do? If you receive the email that appears in the screenshot below (requesting to reconnect your Zoom account), simply go into your services and connect the Zoom account again. I have staff members working for me. How can I manage Zoom sessions for us all? Consider setting up a separate Zoom account dedicated for your business - rather than using your personal Zoom account. Your staff members will use this one account to host meetings. Note: Staff members can also connect their own video conferencing accounts to run services on their preferred platform. I don't see the Zoom link in my calendar, what do I do? The Zoom link appears in your Wix calendar only after a booking is made. Courses and Class sessions that have no bookings do not have a link. Make sure you are the one providing the service. If it's a staff member, they can get the link through the calendar if synced , or through the Wix app. Can I connect Wix Bookings to a Zoom account with an enterprise plan? It is not currently possible to connect to an account with an enterprise plan . Can my business hold 2 Zoom meetings at the same time? Currently, Zoom does not allow one account to hold 2 meetings at the same time. Is the same link used for each session? Appointments: A unique link is created each time a client books an appointment. Classes: A unique link is created for each class session. This means, if you have a weekly Monday class, a link is created for each Monday meeting and shared with the participants. This helps you track attendance, enforce payment, and avoid abuse. Courses: One link is created per course and is good for all course sessions. Tip: You and your client connect to sessions with different links. How can I make sure the Zoom link isn't shared with others? Currently, Zoom creates a link per session, not per client. To learn more about Zoom's Privacy and Security features, click here . Advanced FAQs My Connect Zoom interface changed, what happens now? The new interface indicates that your version of Zoom was upgraded but the functionality remains the same as before. Important information about video conferencing for Courses When you connect video conferencing services to a course, a single link is generated for all sessions of the course. Updating or changing the link for one session within the course in the Bookings Calendar only affects that particular slot. If you then change the link for the entire course, the altered slot needs to be updated manually. How can I host multiple sessions at the same time? To host multiple video conferencing sessions at the same time, you need to connect at least two video conferencing accounts to your site. (Android-only) Why doesn't my Zoom meeting open when I try to start it from the Wix app? - Wix AI Site Chat: Customizing the AI Response Style | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Managing your customers Wix AI Site Chat: Customizing the AI Response Style Important: Wix AI Site Chat is no longer available to install on new sites. Wix Smart Chat is replacing it as the new AI and manual chat solution. Learn more about Wix Smart Chat. Control the way your AI Site Chat sounds when talking to your site visitors. Customizing the response style helps you create a consistent brand experience and match the tone your audience expects (e.g. fun vs. professional). Improve clarity by adjusting the message length, and even add a human touch with emojis and a custom avatar that you chose. Customizing the AI response style Set the tone, message length, and personality through emojis and avatars so every chat with your visitors feels on-brand. View an example for a skateboard shop Let's say you're running a skateboard shop and your audience is mainly teens and young adults who want quick, laid-back answers. The AI should send short, friendly messages with emojis to create a fresh energetic vibe. This is how the response style is customized: Message length: Concise Tone of voice: Casual Emoji: Enabled Avatar: Fun, illustrated skateboard character View an example for a law firm Let's say you're running a law firm and your clients expect clear, expert answers in a serious tone. The AI should respond with detailed, professional messages, and avoid emojis to convey trust and authority. This is how the response style is customized: Message length: Detailed Tone of voice: Formal Emoji: Disabled Avatar: Clean, professional logo Go to AI Site Chat in your site's dashboard. Click the AI response style tab. Choose what to customize: Message length Drag the slider to control how detailed your AI’s responses are. Whichever message length you choose, the AI makes sure to balance clarity and usefulness while avoiding wordy responses. Selecting a Concise message length makes your AI answer quickly and get straight to the point, great for giving quick answers. A Detailed message length provides more depth and longer explanations, which is good for guiding users with complex questions. Tone of voice Drag the slider to set how your AI “speaks” to your visitors. Selecting a Casual tone makes the AI speak in a friendly and informal way while a Formal tone keeps responses structured and professional, most suitable for financial or legal services. The default tone (in the middle) works well for most industries, such as tech, wellness, and hospitality industries. Tip: The Casual tone doesn't use emojis unless you enable them in the Emoji section. Emoji Mark the Use emojis in responses checkbox for a playful and modern tone. This is great to use for e-commerce or lifestyle businesses, and for younger audiences. Avatar Personalize your AI by adding a custom image. Not only does it help give users a more human experience with your AI, it also helps match your brand visually in the chat widget. Click Upload Image to select an image from your computer. Tip: Upload a high-quality square image (at least 100 x 100px) in PNG, JPG, or GIF format for best results. 4. Click Save at the top right. Note: To avoid interruptions for visitors already chatting with the AI, changes apply to new conversations only. - Site Performance: Optimizing Site Media | Wix Expert
< Back Need more help? Solving performance and technical issues Site Performance: Optimizing Site Media Images and videos are key elements for engaging site visitors, making your content visually appealing and memorable. However, optimizing your media is crucial to ensure faster loading times and a smooth user experience. Follow these tips and guidelines to enhance your site’s performance while maintaining the quality of your visuals. Optimizing images on your site Images are an excellent way to showcase your content, such as photography, products, or blog visuals. By optimizing images, you can improve loading speed and overall performance. Select an option to learn more about our guidelines for optimizing images. Choose the right format Wix allows you to upload a wide range of media file types directly to your site, like images, video, audio, icons, vector art (SVG) and more. When you upload an image to your site, it is automatically converted to AVIF format, as it's better optimized for site performance. Images: AVIF is a new type of image file that's better than JPEG and is approximately 50% smaller than WebP. This makes AVIF images load faster on your live site. AVIF can also handle a wide range of colors, making images look even more realistic. Wix automatically compresses your images using AVIF on your live site. SVG images: SVG graphics (also known as vector art) use mathematical equations for drawing graphics, as opposed to pixel grids used in other raster image formats. This makes them lighter, which means they generally load at a higher speed. It also means that the image's quality and sharpness is not affected by resizing. We recommend using vector art for decorative shapes and business logos. GIFs: While GIFs are a popular format for showcasing animated content, modern video encoding formats have both a smaller size and better quality. We therefore recommend using video files for animated or moving content instead of GIFs. Upload the best image quality Use high-resolution images (minimum 2560x1440 pixels) for quality and clarity. Compress files larger than 25MB before uploading using external tools. Replace background images with static elements like shapes or colored sections to reduce load times. Use the Wix image resizer to adjust images to recommended sizes before uploading. Organizing galleries on a site Wix offers various gallery options to showcase multiple media files. Proper organization and placement of galleries can significantly impact your site’s speed and effectiveness. Opt for a single gallery with multiple media items rather than using multiple galleries on one page to avoid overloading. Allow your gallery to load incrementally with a "Load More" button , which improves interaction while managing performance. Place galleries below the fold (content visitors see after scrolling). This lets text and CTAs above the fold load quickly, keeping visitors engaged while your gallery content is still loading. Optimizing videos on a site Videos are great for delivering valuable content, such as tutorials, promotional materials, or product features. Optimizing video playback is essential to prevent performance issues. Host videos with Wix Video for built-in optimization and playback performance. Embedded videos (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) are delivered via iFrames and cannot be optimized by Wix. Limit their use and place them below the fold. Avoid using videos as backgrounds, as they can slow the initial page load. Switch to static placeholders like images or text instead. Limit the number of videos displayed on a single page. For multiple videos, create a dedicated page and link to it using buttons like "See More Videos" to keep your homepage lightweight. Common issues and solutions Blurry images If images appear blurry: Ensure they are high resolution (2560x1440 pixels or higher). Use appropriate formats (AVIF, WebP, or JPEG). Refrain from uploading screenshots, as they often have lower resolution. Check the Image Sharpening feature in the Wix Editor to enhance clarity. Slow homepage loading Common causes of slow homepage loading include excessive images or videos above the fold and overloaded widgets. To resolve: Simplify design by reducing elements on the homepage. Add text or static images above the fold. Use lazy loading for galleries. Videos loading slowly To enhance video load times: Compress videos before uploading. Use Wix Video for optimized hosting. Replace videos above the fold with static elements or lightweight placeholder content. Tips: Test your site speed: Use Wix Site Speed dashboard to identify performance issues and improve overall speed. Plan for navigation efficiency: Keep critical elements above the fold lightweight for fast loading. Use galleries wisely: Limit each page to one gallery, and enable loading buttons for extensive media files. Monitor mobile optimization: Regularly adjust your site’s mobile design using the dedicated Wix Mobile Editor for smaller screens.
