- Studio Editor: Adding a Preset Click or Hover Interaction | Wix Expert
< Back Studio, Partners & Enterprise Wix Studio Studio Editor: Adding a Preset Click or Hover Interaction Add interactions to create an animated experience as visitors click or hover over elements. Need a quick and easy animation? Use one of our presets (e.g. Grow, Move, Fade) and tweak it to your liking. The interaction can animate the same element that visitors click or hover on, or a different element on the page. Either way, you have full control of the look, feel and timing so it's truly effective. What are the available animation presets? You can choose from the following click / hover animations: Expand: Make the target element grow. Shrink: Make the target element smaller. Skew: Distort the target element by slanting its edges vertically or horizontally. Rotate: Make the target element pivot or spin at a specific angle Move: Make the target element move on the canvas in a distance (and angle) of your choice. Twist: Make the target element rotate and grow. Fade: Make the target element fade in or out. Appear: Make the target element appear on the page or vanish from the page. Color: Change the background color of a cell or section. Note: This animation is not available for other element types. Step 1 | Add a trigger (Click or Hover) To get started, select the element that triggers the interaction. This is the element that visitors hover over or click before seeing the animation. Then, go to the Inspector panel to add a new interaction. Tip: You can add multiple interactions to an element so it triggers a different animation on hover or click. To add a trigger: Select the element that should trigger the interaction. Click the Open Inspector icon at the top right of the editor. Click the Animations and Effects tab . Select Hover / Click . Click + Add . Step 2 | Set up the interaction After choosing an element and trigger, set up the interaction. Select a pre-designed animation, the element that should show it and what exactly happens on hover or click. Note: The available animations depend on the element you select. To set up the interaction: (In the Setup panel) Choose what happens On Hover / On Click : Start Animation: Clicking / Hovering over the element triggers the chosen animation. Reset Animation: Clicking / Hovering over the element removes any animation that was previously applied. Toggle On/Off: Clicking the element triggers the animation and a second click removes it. Note: This option is only available for click interactions. Select the Animated element : Make the element trigger its own animation: Click the element's name (the word (self) appears next to it). Animate a different element on the page: Select an element from the drop-down, or click Choose on Canvas to select it on the page. Tip: Hold the Cmd / Ctrl key to select a child element. Select an animation: Click the Presets tab. Choose an animation from the list. Tip: When setting an element to show on click or hover, it appears with a checkered overlay on the canvas. This is to indicate that the element is initially transparent. You can turn this indication off at any time. Click the Wix Studio icon , hover over View and click Transparent Elements . Step 3 | (Optional) Adjust the animation After choosing the animation you want, customize it to achieve the desired effect. You can control settings like the duration, delay and ease to make the animation really effective. Note: The available settings depend on the preset animation you choose. To adjust the animation: (In the Inspector) Click Adjust Animation at the bottom. Customize the available settings to your liking: Delay: Drag the slider to add a delay (in seconds) before the animation starts. Duration: Drag the slider to set the duration of the animation (in seconds). Easing: Choose how the animation eases in and out from the drop-down. Scale: Choose how much the element grows or shrinks. Angle: Change the angle of movement. Distance: Make the element move farther from, or closer to, its default position on the page. Direction: Change the direction the element rotates in. (Optional) Click Preview to see how the animation looks and make adjustments, if needed. FAQs Click below to learn more about creating interactions. How does it look when an element triggers its own animation? In the example below, hovering over the title animates it. The title skews and changes its color. How does an interaction between different elements look? In the example below, hovering over the text box animates the image right next to it. Can one element trigger multiple other elements? Yes, but not in a single interaction. You need to create a separate interaction for each element you want to animate, even if they should all be triggered by the same element. In the example below, we created 3 different hover interactions for the same text element. When visitors hover over the text, it animates an image, a button and another text element – all at the same time. Can a single element have multiple animations? When an element triggers its own animation ( self ), you can combine one hover interaction, one click interaction, and an entrance animation. However, you can create a custom interaction to apply multiple transforms to the same element, so they all appear in a single interaction. In the example below, we created a custom hover interaction for the title. When hovering over the title, it skews and changes its color at the same time. How can I remove a click or hover interaction from an element? Select the relevant element. Click the Open Inspector icon at the top right of the editor. Click the Animations and Effects tab . Hover over the current click / hover interaction and click the More Actions icon . Select Remove . What's the difference between a hover animation and the hover state in buttons? A hover interaction is the animation you add from the Animations and Effects tab in the Inspector panel, making the button grow, move, fade, etc. The hover state is part of the Design section of the Inspector panel, where you can set specific design changes for when visitors hover over the button. For example, you can adjust the fill color and text color. You can combine hover animations with customized hover states of the hover state to create beautiful dynamic effects. - Troubleshooting Pending or Missing Orders | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Orders, Cart & Checkout Troubleshooting Pending or Missing Orders Important: This article is relevant for Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurants Orders, Wix Donations, and is in the process of becoming available for Pricing Plans. Sometimes it may appear that you received an order, but are unable to find it in the Orders tab. Alternatively, the order's status may appear as "Pending Payment" and you're not sure why. This guide will explain what the possible causes are and what action you can take. Orders with pending payment due to incomplete payment provider setup If most or all of your orders in the Orders tab have "Pending Payment" status, this could be because you haven't successfully completed set up on the site of your payment provider. When this is the case, you'll see notifications that you need to contact the relevant payment provider. To solve this problem, log in to the dashboard of your payment provider and make sure your account is set up correctly or contact their support for further assistance. Other orders with Pending Payment status In most cases, when a customer makes a payment, it's processed immediately by the payment provider. When an order's status is "Pending Payment", it means that the order is still being processed. Why is payment for an order pending? Taking longer than usual: Most payments are processed almost instantaneously, but some may take a few minutes or hours. You may be viewing an order that will be processed shortly. Two-step payments: A few payment methods, such as Boleto, and Degica (Komoju), require customers to make payments at a physical location after they complete their online orders. In these cases, the order status is "Pending Payment" until your customer has completed payment. Payments submitted for manual review: Payment providers may want to review payments they think are suspicious. The payment will be approved or declined as soon as their review is complete. Tip: Within a few hours, the status of most pending payments will change either to "Paid" or "Declined". On rare occasions, it can take a week or up to 40 days for a payment to be processed. When processing has been completely, the order status will change to either "Paid" or "Declined". Orders that appear to be missing It's not uncommon for customers to start the checkout process and then change their minds and abandon the cart without completing payment. In most cases, this happens without your being aware of it. However, depending on your inventory settings , you may get a notification saying that a product is out of stock. When you look to see who purchased the last item, you won't find the relevant order because the customer never completed the sale. In this case, there is nothing for you to do. In a few hours, the item will be returned to your inventory. Viewing and taking advantage of abandoned carts: To view a list of abandoned carts, go to Customers & Leads in your site's dashboard and select Abandoned Carts . Sending emails to customers who abandoned their carts is an effective way to increase sales. Learn how to set up automatic emails to customers who abandon their carts . Video tutorial Check out this short video tutorial or scroll down to read the FAQs. FAQs Can I filter orders to view payments with pending, canceled or declined statuses? Yes. You can go to your order filters and select any of those options. Additionally, you can select Pending orders from your preset filters. What is the "Canceled Payment" status? If you or your customer contact the payment provider to cancel payment the order status will change to "Payment Canceled". Why can't I fulfill an order with a "Pending Payment" status? When an order has a "Pending Payment" status, it's not yet known whether the payment will be accepted or declined. To avoid a situation where you fulfil an order for which there is no payment, certain actions, such as fulfilling the order, are unavailable. How can I get more details about a payment? You can get more details about any payment, no matter what the status, in the Payment info section of an order. Click to expand the Customer paid section to see which Payment Provider was used and to view the Payment ID. Click the icon to view the payment in the All Payments tab. There, you can view more payment details. My order was paid for with 2 payment methods. What happens if one of them was declined? If one payment method didn't go through, the other one is refunded. For example, if the order was paid for using 2 credit cards, but only one was successful, the other card will be refunded. When the payment method that was successful was a credit card or payment plan, these too will be reimbursed. - Improving Checkout Completion Rates | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Orders, Cart & Checkout Improving Checkout Completion Rates Checkout is the place where visitors turn into paying customers, but even small points of friction can cause people to leave your site before completing a purchase. You can increase your checkout completion rates by improving a few key parts of your checkout flow. Reduce the number of custom fields Problem Long or complex 'Customer Details' sections can make customers pause or leave your site altogether. Recommended change Remove any non-essential custom fields in the 'Customer Details' checkout step. If you added custom fields, keep only the ones you really need. Avoid asking for details you won't use right away, for example, extra phone numbers, secondary email addresses, or marketing-related questions. Learn more about customizing checkout fields . Automate billing fields Problem Sometimes, address fields aren't needed during checkout, for example, when you sell a digital product. In these cases, they are automatically removed from the 'Customer Details' checkout step, but may appear in the 'Billing Address' step. Recommended change Consider choosing the Only fields required for payment and tax option. This means that the 'Billing Address' section is customized per customer to avoid collecting unnecessary information. Learn more about customizing your billing field settings . Offer multiple payment methods Problem If customers see only one way to pay, they may hesitate or leave checkout, especially if it is not the method they know and prefer. Recommended change Offer at least one major credit or debit card provider. Add digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal (more on this below). Add trusted local payment methods. Learn more about setting up payment options . You can make these payment methods visible in the Cart page, Product page, or Side cart to streamline checkout even more. Consider removing the following: Mandatory custom fields A policy acceptance checkbox A subscription opt-in checkbox Learn more about customer checkout with PayPal or Apple Pay / Google Pay .
