  • Wix Forms: Enabling Double Opt-In for Subscribers | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Managing your customers Wix Forms: Enabling Double Opt-In for Subscribers Make sure your emails reach the right contacts by enabling double opt-in on your forms. Double opt-in means that any visitor who has subscribed to your list also needs to take the extra step of verifying their email. This confirms their subscription status. Some businesses prefer double opt-in to make sure the emails in their subscriber list are active and correct. It's also best practice to make sure you have explicit consent from your subscribers. Note: Double opt-in is only available using new Wix Forms. This article will help you understand the differences between old and new Wix Forms. Single opt-in vs. double opt-in Click an opt-in type below to learn about the different options and how they look. Single opt-in When visitors submit a Subscribe form , or select a subscriber opt-in checkbox on other forms, it means they're giving consent to receive emails and communication from you. This confirmation is called single opt-in , as visitors performed one action (filling out the form or selecting the checkbox) to confirm their consent. Double opt-in Double opt-in means that after visitors perform the first opt-in action, they will also be required to verify their email address before they can become subscribers. With double opt-in enabled, visitors are still added to your contact list once they submit the form, but their subscriber status says Subscription Pending until they've verified their email. To become a subscriber, all your visitor needs to do is click Confirm Subscription in the email. This removes the Subscription Pending label from your contact and adds them to your mailing list. Enabling double opt-in on your site forms You can enable the double opt-in option on any site form. Head over to your form settings in the editor to get started. Note: If the toggle is grayed out, it means you haven't yet added a subscriber opt-in checkbox . New Forms Select your form in the editor. Click Edit Form . Select the Subscribe field. Click Settings . Click the Enable double opt-in toggle: Enabled: Anyone who submits the form or selects the subscriber checkbox receives an email to verify their subscription status. Once they have verified they become subscribers in your contact list. Disabled: Anyone who submits the form or selects the subscriber checkbox is automatically a subscriber in your contact list. They do not have to confirm their status. Old Forms Select your form in the editor. Click Form Settings . Click the Settings tab. Click Subscriber Double Opt-In . Click the Enable double opt-in toggle. Enabled: Anyone who submits the form or selects the subscriber checkbox receives an email to verify their subscription status. Once they have verified they become subscribers in your contact list. Disabled: Anyone who submits the form or selects the subscriber checkbox is automatically a subscriber in your contact list. They do not have to confirm their status. FAQs Click a question below to learn more. I have multiple email fields on my form, which email address receives the confirmation email? If a subscriber enters different email addresses in those fields, all addresses get the confirmation email. Each email address would have to confirm their subscriber status individually. Do subscriber emails need to be verified within a specific timeframe? No, the subscriber can verify their email address whenever they want. Can I customize the email sent to subscribers? Using new Wix Forms, you can customize automated emails with Wix Automations. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! Learn more about managing orders with the Wix Restaurants Orders app . How do customers know when their delivery is on the way? When a customer places an order, they receive a confirmation email that you can design to your needs . This email contains a Track Your Order button. The Order Tracking page is a hidden page on your site, that is added automatically as part of the Restaurant Orders app. Customers only see this page after placing an order. Can I add a service fee? Yes. You can add a service fee as a percentage or fixed amount of the order subtotal, and add sales tax if applicable. Service fees are charges applied separately from any delivery fees. You can also set the service fee to apply to orders above a certain amount and based on how you fulfill that order. Customers will see every service fee in their order summary during checkout. The fee gets a separate line in the price breakdown and receipts. Can I add a private note to orders? Yes, you can keep track of special requests and instructions by adding notes to orders . These notes are personal and can only be seen by you and your site collaborators . What happens if a customer's address qualifies for multiple delivery areas? If a customer's address qualifies for multiple delivery areas, the delivery area is chosen based on the following criteria: Minimum Order Requirement: If the address meets the minimum order requirement and qualifies for only one area, that area is selected. Delivery Fee: If the address meets the minimum order requirement for multiple areas, the area with the lowest delivery fee is chosen. Delivery Time: If multiple areas have the same delivery fee, priority is given to the area with the fastest delivery time. Fulfillment Type: If there are multiple areas with the same delivery time, preference is given to the area that is self-fulfilled over one operated by a delivery partner. When can the earliest and latest ASAP orders be placed? You can see the earliest and latest ASAP ordering times in the read-only Available for ASAP orders column next to your pickup hours and on each delivery area's hours. This is the live in-product preview of when customers can place ASAP orders based on your fulfilment hours and order prep time. For delivery, the delivery time for the relevant delivery area is also included. For example, if there is a 30-minute order prep time and pickup hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, customers can place ASAP orders from 7:30 AM until 7:30 PM. Similarly, if you have a designated delivery area such as “Nearby Deliveries” with delivery hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and a delivery time of 10 minutes, and the order prep time is 30 minutes, customers can place ASAP orders from 7:20 AM until 7:20 PM. • Wix Bookings: Service Times on Live Site Differ from Service Times in Calendar | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Bookings: Service Times on Live Site Differ from Service Times in Calendar There are two reasons why the service times on your live site might differ from the times that you set or the times appearing in your Wix Bookings calendar. Your customer is viewing your live site from a different time zone Your customer may be located in a different time zone. You can choose whether to display service times in your time zone, your customers' time zone, or to let them select a time zone. Learn How The time zone you set in the Business Info tab determines: The time zone for services on your live site (if you selected to display services in your own time zone) The time zone in your Wix Booking calendar The time zone in your Google calendar (if synced ) Note: Confirmation emails for one-on-one services state the time of the service in the customer's time zone. Confirmation emails for group services state the time of the service in your time zone. Your service duration exceeds your business hours It is not possible for a customer to book a service which exceeds your business hours. Therefore Wix Bookings only displays service times which are within your business hours. For example, if your business hours are set to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and your service has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, the last available time slot is 3:30 PM. A customer cannot book a service which begins at 4:00 PM. Tip: If you set a time buffer between appointments, some time slots may be unavailable to customers. To learn more, click here .
