- Setting Up a 301 Redirect for a Page on Your Site | Wix Expert
< Back Promoting your site SEO (get found on Google) Setting Up a 301 Redirect for a Page on Your Site You can use the URL Redirect Manager to create 301 redirects for pages on your site. 301 redirects tell web browsers that the URL of a page on your site has changed permanently to a new URL. It also tells browsers that visitors who try to access the page's old URL should be sent to the new URL instead. This is useful when you want to change a page's URL, but you want to make sure that anyone who tries to use the old URL can still reach the page. For example, your site visitors may have bookmarked a previous URL for a page on your site. When they use the bookmark, you want to redirect them to the page's new URL so that they can still reach it. 301 redirects can also help you retain your page's ranking in search engine results after you change its URL. Search engines like Google may still use an old URL in some search results from previous times that they crawled and indexed your site. Creating a 301 redirect means anyone clicking that link in the search result will still be able to reach your page. Important: 301 redirects only work with custom domains . You can't set up a 301 redirect from free Wix URLs to a Premium site. If you're not sure if your domain is properly connected to Wix, you can check it using the Wix Domain Assistant . How 301 redirects work When you create a page for your site, Wix automatically creates a new URL for it. The URL is based on your site's domain and has a unique name for the page at the end of it (known as a URL slug). An example URL of this type is: "https://mystunningwebsite.com/ about ". If you update a page's URL slug, the old URL will no longer work. For example, if you change your page's URL to "https://mystunningwebsite.com/ about2 ", your site visitors will see a 404 error message page if they use the old URL. Your page authority for the page's old URL will also not carry over to the new URL. To stop this from happening, Wix automatically creates a 301 redirect for your page when you update the URL slug. Visit the URL Redirect Manager to edit or delete these automatic 301 redirects (after publishing your site). Wix Blog exception: For Wix Blog pages, 301 redirects will not automatically be created. When you update a URL slug for a Blog page, you need to use the URL Redirect Manager to manually create your own 301 redirect . Automatic redirects are available for the following types of pages: Editor pages Wix Stores product pages Wix Stores category pages Wix Bookings services Online Programs Wix Events Want to redirect to another site? You can also use the URL Redirect Manager to manually create a 301 redirect to an external page on another site. When to use a 301 redirect for a page You should create a 301 redirect for a page any time that you change the page's URL slug. You can choose to let Wix automatically create a redirect for your page when you update the URL slug, or use the URL Redirect Manager to manually create your own redirect . If you've moved your site to Wix, you should also create 301 redirects for your site's pages if it's not possible to create pages with URLs that match the URLs from your old site. URL redirects allow you to maintain your previous site's Google search ranking data when moving your site to Wix. URL redirects also send people to your new Wix site when they click on old links in search results. Learn more about why redirects are important Tip: You can also create group redirects for groups of pages with the same path in their URLs (e.g. your Wix Stores product pages or Wix Blog posts). - Multi-Currency: Overview | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Accepting payments on your site Multi-Currency: Overview Multi-currency allows you to offer customers the convenience of viewing prices and paying in their local currency. This means that customers can check out in a currency that is different from your main site currency. For example, your site's main currency is US dollars. You've enabled Multi-currency to offer product prices in Euros as well. With this feature, a customer can complete their purchase and pay in Euros—not just view the prices in that currency. Before you begin: Currently, Multi-currency is available for eligible sites with Wix Payments, and for sites using PayPal or Stripe as a third-party provider. Multi-currency is available for Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, and Wix Donations. Supported currencies and payment methods depend on the provider: Only payment methods that support your customer's currency appear at checkout. If a customer's local currency isn't supported or included in your currency converter, they will view prices and pay in your site's main currency at checkout. For Wix Payments transactions with Multi-currency, fees are based on your country and selected payment method. For example, in the US, these include a processing fee based on the payment method used (2.9% + 0.30 USD for Credit/ Debit Cards, (excl. American Express)), a currency conversion fee (1%), and a cross-border fee (1.5%, if applicable). To view fees specific to your country, see Wix Payments fees by country . If you use PayPal or Stripe as a third-party provider, check the provider's terms for their associated fees. Enhance the customer experience Offering multiple currencies enhances the shopping experience for your customers. Displaying prices in their local currency helps them clearly understand costs, while allowing payment in their currency makes the checkout process more convenient and trustworthy. Did you know? Allowing customers to view prices and pay in their local currency may boost your conversion rates by up to 20%. Increase international sales and conversions Attract and cater to customers in different markets by displaying and accepting payments in their local currency. Prices are converted automatically using current market exchange rates from the XE Currency Converter and updated daily. Offering prices and checkout in local currencies reduces barriers and improves the likelihood of completed purchases. At checkout, only payment methods that support Multi-currency are shown. For example, Klarna is only available for your site's main currency. For Multi-currency transactions with Wix Payments, processing, currency conversion, and cross-border fees apply (If applicable). If you use PayPal or Stripe as a third party provider, check with your provider for any additional conversion fees. < Back Managing your business Creating a logo for your business Wix Logo: General Troubleshooting We've compiled a list of some common issues related to Wix Logo. Click the issue you're experiencing to learn how to troubleshoot it. Some files have all elements visible Currently, it is not possible to hide a part of an element in the Logo Maker. If this is something you would like to see in the future, vote for that feature . Shapes, icons, images and text are always visible in some logo files (black, white, grayscale, monochrome) no matter what color they are, so please avoid doing the following: Making an element the same color as the logo background to hide it. Covering elements of a logo with shapes or icons. Overlapping shapes and icons. Moving elements outside of the Logo Maker's borders as they will be visible in the final logo files. Learn more about hiding whole elements in the Logo Maker I want to edit my purchased logo but it says I need to upgrade my plan If you purchased a Logo-Only Plan ( Basic, Advanced, and Value ) your design is locked once you choose to download it. To edit this logo, either upgrade to a plan that includes unlimited editing via the Brand Kit , or duplicate your existing logo, make all desired changes, and then purchase a separate logo download for that amended design. I purchased my logo to get my secondary design but I'm only able to download my primary design The Basic, Advanced, and Value plans provide the designated files for your primary logo only. You can switch between your secondary and primary designs up until you choose to download your files. If have one of those plans and have already downloaded the primary logo files, you can either: Upgrade to a plan that includes secondary logos in order to download those files Duplicate your brand, set the secondary logo files as primary, then purchase a new logo plan to download those files. Tip: All plans with the Brand Kit include secondary logo downloads as 500x500px PNG files. The background of my logo is transparent Your logo comes with a white background by default. Use the color picker to change the color. Note : All logo packages include a version of your logo with a transparent background. Favicon, email signature, and watermark have a transparent background by design to better blend in with the background you use them on. All SVG files have a transparent background by design since they are intended for printing. The link in the email with the logo files doesn’t work You need to be logged in to your Wix account to be able to open and view the link from the email. You can also go to the Logo Maker directly and log in to your account there. Note : Currently, it is not possible to transfer logos to other accounts. My logo had a dot background inside the editor, but my downloaded file has a solid background color The logo editor displays dot gridlines in order to help you align your elements evenly within your design. This is just an editor feature and the dots are not displayed in your downloaded files. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that!
