  • Studio Editor: Troubleshooting Sections and Containers That Won't Resize | Wix Expert

< Back Studio, Partners & Enterprise Wix Studio Studio Editor: Troubleshooting Sections and Containers That Won't Resize If you’re unable to resize a section or container in the Studio Editor, it’s often caused by the margin settings of elements inside it. Margins add extra space around elements, which can block you from adjusting the section or container’s size. When you try to resize by dragging the edges, and it snaps back or won’t adjust, margins are likely the issue. Removing margins from elements Remove the margins from elements that might be causing the resizing issue. In the screenshot below, the bottom margin of one of the images in the section is set at 30% which is preventing the section from being resized. To remove margins from elements: Go to the relevant section or container in the editor. Click an element inside it. Click the Open Inspector icon at the top right of the editor. Under Position , Look for any margins applied to the elements. If a margin above or below is unnecessary, set it to 0 or adjust it to your desired value. Repeat steps 1-4 for every element inside the section or container. Click Preview to view your changes. Video tutorial Watch the video below to see this issue being resolved. FAQs Click a question below to learn more. Why can’t I resize my section or container even after removing margins? If the issue persists, check for other constraints like padding or minimum height settings in the Inspector panel and adjust these settings as needed. What’s the difference between margins and padding? Margins are the space outside an element, while padding is the space inside an element, between its content and border. Both can affect your ability to resize sections or containers. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! Previous Next Need An AI Run Website? • Wix Forms: Choosing Who Gets Notified About Form Submissions | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Managing your customers Wix Forms: Choosing Who Gets Notified About Form Submissions Control who gets notified after a visitor fills out a form. Site collaborators can receive and respond to form submissions directly from Wix Inbox, the mobile apps, and from their personal emails. You can also notify external emails not connected with your site. Note: Site collaborators must be assigned Wix Inbox permissions. Go to Roles & Permissions in your dashboard to add or remove Wix Inbox permissions . Types of notifications By default, when someone submits a form, an email is automatically sent to the site owner notifying them about the submission. This email notification is built using Wix Automations. Additionally, you can set up Wix Automations to send a notification to your Wix Inbox when a submission comes through. Click below to learn about the 2 options. Email notifications You can edit the automation to choose who gets notified – the site owner, or other collaborators . You can also edit this automation to add more emails, change the message title and body, and include PDF attachments of form submissions. The email addresses you choose will receive an email from "notifications@wix-forms.com", notifying them of the submission. Wix Inbox notifications Using Wix Automations, once you have set up an automation trigger , you can choose Show in Inbox as an action. Then, configure the action by setting a Form name , Fields , and choose if to Mute inbox notifications (the ones that pop up in your site's dashboard). Note: The form name controls how the name of the form appears in your Wix Inbox. Enter a custom title or choose a dynamic value such as Submission Time . Choosing who gets notified about form submissions Select recipients for form submission notifications. Choose if you want to send the notifications to yourself or your collaborators. Before you begin, set up an automation sending an automated email after each form submission. To choose who gets notified: Go to Automations in your site's dashboard. Hover over the relevant automation and click the More Actions icon . Click Edit . Select the Send an email action. Click Show additional settings on the left panel. Under Recipients , click Edit . Choose a recipient group (for example, collaborator roles). Note : To send emails to people who are not collaborators, you must first add them as contacts on your site. Click Apply. Want to reply to form submissions from your email inbox? In Sender details , enable the Dynamic reply-to email toggle, then click the field that appears and select Contact email . This sets the reply-to address to the one provided in the form. So when you or your team reply to the notification email, the response goes directly to the person who submitted the form, allowing you to continue the conversation without logging in to Wix. FAQs Click a question below to learn more about choosing who gets notified about form submissions. How do I add personalized content to my form submission notification emails? Personalized content , also known as dynamic values or variables, lets you show different information in each email based on the recipient or form submission data, such as a contact's name or submission date. For example, one person might see 'Thanks for your submission, Sarah,' while another sees 'Thanks for your submission, David.' To add personalized content: Go to Automations in your site's dashboard. Hover over the relevant automation and click the More Actions icon . Click Edit . Click the Send an email action. Click Edit next to Email Template . Click Add on the left. Click Text . Click the text element in the email. Click Add Personalized Content on the left. Click the Which value do you want to add? drop-down and select the relevant value. Enter text in the What's the fallback text? field. Click Add . Why am I not receiving email notifications about form submissions? If you are experiencing an issue with receiving notifications to your inbox: Check your Spam or Junk folder for emails from no-reply@wixsiteautomations.com or reply-to@wixforms.com . Whitelist the following addresses: Domains: * @automations.ascendbywix.com, *@crm.wix.com and *@wixforms.com Email: no-reply@test.wixshoutout.com Notes: After whitelisting each of the addresses above, republish the site. Remember to include the asterisk ( * ) when whitelisting the relevant domains. This will ensure that all the variants of the first part of the email address are whitelisted. Check your automation recipients: Go to Automations in your site's dashboard. Open the automation that sends your form notification email. In the Send an email action, check the Recipients field and make sure it contains the correct email address. If the sender and recipient email are the same, change the recipient email. Some email providers treat these messages as spam. What is fallback text in a notification email? Fallback text is the text that appears if a dynamic value has no data to display. This helps prevent empty spaces in your notification email. For example, if you add a dynamic value for a phone number but the form submitter leaves that field blank, the fallback text appears instead. You can add fallback text such as 'Not provided' or 'No answer submitted'. How do I add donation, payment, file upload, product, or signature fields to my notification email? Donation, Fixed price, Custom price, File upload, Product, and Signature fields are added using repeated content, not personalized content. Repeated content lets your email automatically display submitted details that come from these fields. For example, if someone uploads a file, adds a signature, or selects a product, that information can appear in the notification email without you needing to add each detail manually. To add these fields to your email: Go to Automations in your site's dashboard. Scroll down to the Your automations section. Hover over the relevant automation and click the More Actions icon . Click Edit . Click the Send an email action. Click Edit next to Email Template . Click the relevant text element in the email. Scroll down to Repeated content on the left. Click Connect Datalist . Select the relevant datalist. Click Connect Datalist . (Optional) Click Add Datalist Value . Click the Which value do you want to add? drop-down and select the relevant value. Enter fallback text in the What's the fallback text? field. Click Add . Can I attach a PDF of the form submission using Automations? No. If you want to include a PDF copy of each submission in your notification emails, you must enable this option directly in the form’s settings. Why am I not receiving full message content in my notification emails from forms or chat? When someone submits a message through your Wix Inbox (including pre-chat forms), you and your site contributors do not receive the full message content in your notification emails. Instead, you receive a notification to check your Wix Inbox directly. Do I need to add someone as a collaborator for them to receive form notifications? No. You do not need to make someone a site collaborator to send them form notification emails. To send notifications to someone who is not a collaborator: Add their email address as a contact in your site’s Contacts list . Go to your form’s automation and open the Send an email action. Under Set recipients , select the contact you added as the recipient. Is there a workaround to receive form or chat message content in my notification emails? Yes, you can create a custom automation and include the Chat message summary as a dynamic value in the email template. This sends you the content of each message by email. You can also display details such as the contact’s name and email address. How are dates formatted in form submission notifications? Dates in form submission notifications are formatted according to your site's regional settings . This means dates appear in the format set for your site's region. • Wix Forms: Using the Submissions Board to Visualize Form Responses | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Managing your customers Wix Forms: Using the Submissions Board to Visualize Form Responses You can generate visuals from your form responses without leaving the submissions table. The Submissions board sits above your submissions table. Describe what you want to see, select which form fields to use, and AI generates a card showing your data as a chart, KPI numbers, a list, or another format. Note: Cards are generated from the 100 most recent submissions in the Submissions tab. They don’t include submissions in Spam or Trash , and they don’t reflect any filters, search terms, or date ranges applied to your submissions table. Cards are generated from your 100 most recent submissions only, and they don't reflect any filters, search terms, date range, or tab applied to your submissions table. I just got a new submission. Why isn't it in my chart? Cards don't update automatically when new submissions come in. Reload the page to include new submissions in your cards. Can I get a chart for every field on my form? Not every field type can be charted. Long-answer text fields appear as a list instead of a chart, file uploads and signatures are counted as "has" or "doesn't have," and phone number and email fields aren't typically charted. Can I download, share, or print a card? No. Cards and the Submissions board don't support image or PDF export. To export your submissions data, use the export option on your submissions table. Can I rearrange or resize my cards? No. Cards appear 2 per row, with the most recent card taking the full width of the last row, and can't be reordered or resized.
