Wixel: Remixing Your Design

Remixing your design helps you turn one design into many related designs without starting from scratch. It lets you keep the same overall look and feel, but changes the format according to your goal. For example, if you create a logo, you can remix that design into a product mockup image or a promo video for social media using the same branding.

Remixing a design

Remix a design by choosing a suggested idea or describe your vision. The Wixel Agent will generate the design for you, which you can then continue to refine.

To remix a design:

Desktop browser

Go to your project in Wixel.
Select the relevant design in your project.
Click Remix on the action bar.
Choose what to do:
- Select an option from the generated suggestions.
  Tip: Click the More suggestions icon
  to get new ideas.
- Describe what you want:
  1. Choose a design type under Remix with your own idea (e.g. Image, Video).
  2. In the chat with the Wixel Agent, describe what you want the new design to focus on. For example, "Create a product mockup image that shows this logo on a coffee cup" or "Create an Instagram post using this logo to promote a weekend sale".
  3. Click Remix Design.
(Optional) When the new design is generated, continue editing it using the tools in the workspace.

Wixel app

Go to your project in the Wixel app.
Select the relevant design in your project.
Tap the Remix design icon
at the top of the design.
Choose what to do:
- Select an option from the generated suggestions.
  Tip: Tap More Suggestions to get new ideas.
- Describe what you want:
  1. Choose a design type under Remix with your own idea (e.g. Image, Video).
  2. Describe to the Wixel Agent what you want the new design to focus on. For example, "Create a product mockup image that shows this logo on a coffee cup" or "Create an Instagram post using this logo to promote a weekend sale".
(Optional) When the new design is generated, continue editing it using the tools in the workspace.

Tip:

You can also remix a design directly from the chat with the Wixel Agent by selecting a design and clicking the Remix icon

in the chat.

Does remixing my design change the original?

No, remixing your design always creates a new design in your project. Your original design stays exactly the same, so you can keep using it, edit it, or remix it again later for other formats.

What types of designs can I create when remixing my design?

You can turn a design into different assets, such as images, videos, documents, logos, slides, and even websites. Choose the format that best fits what you need next, such as a social media post, promo video, or information sheet.

Can I edit a remixed design like any other asset?

Yes, after remixing your design, you can edit the new asset just like any other design in Wixel. Change text, colors, layout, images, or animations, and add or remove elements until it matches your vision and your brand.
