Note:
Actions that involve generating and editing a video with AI use AI credits.
Creating a video
Start on the Wixel home page and tell the Wixel Agent what kind of video you want. Describe your idea and add reference images, or turn footage you already have into a highlights video.
To create a video:
Choose what kind of video you want to create:
Create a video from scratch
Create a full video from an idea, event, or product you want to promote, such as a new item in your store or an upcoming sale. The Wixel Agent may ask follow-up questions to better understand your vision, such as the type of video, mood, and audience.
Describe your idea in the text box. For example, "Create a new video for social media, for a new skin care product I'm selling in my store".
(Optional) Click the Add icon

to attach images that customize the video for your needs. For example, add photos of the sneakers from different angles to get a product ad that shows them off.
Click the Generate icon

.
Tip: Once you've provided enough details, the Wixel Agent will begin generating your video with shots and background music.
Create a highlights video
Create a highlights video from footage you already have, focusing only on the moments you want to showcase.
Click the Add icon

in the text box and upload one or more video files directly to the chat.
Tell the Wixel Agent to generate highlights from this video. For example, “Generate highlights for this football game”.
Click the Generate icon

.
Answer any follow-up questions about what you want to highlight, such as exciting events, key moments, or anything else you'd like to focus on. For example, "Show touchdowns only".
Editing your video
Customize the video to make it your own, fine-tuning every shot, element, and moment. To do this, use the timeline at the bottom of your video. This is where you can see and manage all the different components of your video.
Each component has its own layer in the timeline, so you can easily trim, move, or adjust each part as needed. A video is composed of the following parts:
Video: The video as a whole (i.e. a design in your project).
Shot: The main building blocks of your story. Each shot encompasses a scene or section of the video.
Video element: The core video inside a shot. This layer includes visuals that the Wixel Agent generated.
Elements: Visual layers like graphics or text, each in its own row so you can individually adjust the position and timing.
Background music: The video's audio track.

To edit your video:
Click the relevant video in your project.
Choose what you want to do:
Tip:
Click Expand Layers to open the timeline and see all layers in the video.
Reorder shots
Drag and drop shots to change when they appear in the video. This moves the shot's elements (e.g. images and text) with it as well.
Split a shot
Divide a shot for sharper edits or new scenes. When you split a shot, it also splits the layers in it (e.g. the video element and text).
Select where you want to split the shot on the timeline and click the Split icon

on the timeline.
Trim or lengthen shots or elements
Drag the edge of any shot or element on the timeline to change when it appears or disappears.
Add shots
Click the Add New Shot icon

to the right of your timeline and choose how to add a new shot:
Generate with chat: Describe what you want to see in the shot and the Wixel Agent creates it for you.
Upload image as shot: Add your own image to the shot.
Upload video as shot: Add your own video to the shot.
Start from blank: Begin with an empty shot and add only what you need.
Add and edit decorative elements
Boost your message with visuals like text and graphics.
Click + Elements on the action bar.
Select or drag an element onto the video.
(Optional) Use the design options on the action bar to customize the element.
Customize a video component
Select any video component in the timeline and use the action bar to make changes:
Edit with AI: Let the Wixel Agent redesign your video with a new style or fresh visuals.
Note: This option is only available if you generated a video with AI.
Replace: Replace the media with an uploaded video or image from the Wixel Media Manager.
Add animations
Add movement or transition effects to any element in your video. Animations can create smooth entrances, highlight key details, and guide your viewers’ attention where you want it.
Click the Animations icon

on the action bar.
Select an animation from the available options.
Entrance: The animation introduces an element to the screen - it only plays once, when the element first appears.
Loop: The animation plays in a continuous loop.
Exit: The animation plays as the element disappears from the screen.
(Optional) Customize the animation to match the video's look and feel. Hover over the selected animation and click the Customize icon

.
Note: The available customization options depend on the animation you choose.
Tip: You can combine multiple animations for the same element. For example, make an image fade in and rotate while it's onscreen.
Add a voiceover
Add an AI voiceover to narrate your video. Use it to guide viewers through your video, highlight the moments that matter most, and support the message you want to send viewers.
Click the Add voiceover icon

on the timeline.
Type (or paste in) a script for the AI voice to read.
Click the Voice drop-down and select an AI voice.
Tip: Click Preview to listen before you add it.
Click Add Voiceover to add it to your video.
(Optional) After you add a voiceover, click the More Actions icon

on the voiceover element and choose what to do:
Change Voiceover: Update the script or switch to a different voice.
Change Volume: Adjust the volume of the narration.
Tip:
You can add more than one voiceover with different voices in separate parts of the video. For example, add a voice for the opening segment and another to share product details.
Add captions
Add captions to show your voiceover text on screen as the audio plays, so people can follow your video with the sound off. Make sure to add a voiceover to your video first, before adding captions.
Click the Caption style icon

on the timeline.
Enable the Show captions toggle.
Style your captions using the available options. Choose a plain or karaoke style, adjust the sizing, colors, and positioning, and more.
Change music
Set the tone and mood with background music. You can generate music or choose from pre-made music provided by Wixel.
Click the Choose music

icon on the timeline.
Choose what to do:
Select a track from the music library: Hover over the track you want and click Select to add it to your video.
Tip: Click the Play icon

to listen to a sample before choosing it.
Generate new music: Click Generate new track to have the Wixel Agent generate new music for your video.
(Optional) Drag the slider to adjust the music volume.
Note: Currently, you can only add 1 music track to your video.
Duplicate or delete elements
Hover over the relevant element and click the More Actions icon

.
Select Duplicate to make a copy or Delete to remove it.
What's next?
Preview, download, and share your video to spread the word.
Changing ingredients in your video
Ingredients help you identify the main visual elements in your video, such as the background, product, or person. You can replace an ingredient to update those visuals across the relevant shots, without creating the video again from scratch.
Tip:
Create multiple videos with the same look and feel for different products or audiences. For example, if you sell several water bottles, you can replace the product ingredient to create a matching video for each one.
To change ingredients in your video:
Click the relevant video in your project.
Click Ingredients on the action bar.
Click the ingredient you want to change and choose what to do:
Replace Image: Choose an image from the Wixel Media Manager.
Regenerate Image: Describe the ingredient you want and click Generate Image. For example, if you have a female model in the video you can change it to a male model.
(Optional) Repeat step 4 for other ingredients you want to change.
Click Regenerate Shots.
Note: All shots that include these ingredients are regenerated so your video stays visually consistent.

Important:
When you regenerate shots using new ingredients, the shots with those elements are replaced and you cannot undo this action. If you want to keep the original version, duplicate the video in your project first, then update the ingredients in the duplicated copy.

What can the Wixel Agent help me with?
The Wixel Agent can assist you with:
Creating a video
Adding a shot
Generating and regenerating background music
Regenerating a shot for a scene or for the whole video. For example, you can ask to replace a product that's featured in the entire video.
Note: Actions that involve generating or editing a video with AI use AI credits.
How do I make edits using the Wixel Agent?
Select any component, then type your request in the chat. The Wixel Agent will apply the change directly to what's tagged, so you don't have to reference the element you want to edit.
What are the dimensions of the generated video?
Videos are generated in 16:9 or 9:16 format.
Tip: If you know what size format you want (e.g. for social media on mobile) mention it to Aria at the beginning of your conversation.
Can I resize the video to other formats?
No, you can’t resize an existing video directly. However, you can use the same prompt and media to generate a new video in a different aspect ratio.
Note: This uses additional AI credits.
What's the difference between a shot and video element?
A shot is a section or scene in your video. The video element holds the visual footage inside each shot.
What should I do if I don't know how to answer the Wixel Agent's questions?
When generating a video with the Wixel Agent, it may ask you questions to learn what to create. You can respond saying you don't have the answer, or you don't have the images (if this is what's asked). The Wixel Agent will generate the missing information for you, which you can later change in the video editor.
