Wix Stores: Selling Mix-and-Match Product Bundles
Boost sales by offering customers mix-and-match product bundles in your store.
Customers can build their perfect combo from a selection of products you curate while you control the pricing with automatic discounts.

Step 1 | Create a category
To get started, create a product category that contains the products you want to offer as part of your mix and match bundle.
To create a bundle category:
Go to your site's dashboard and create a product category for the items that can be added to the bundle and then add the relevant items. Learn how to create a category.
Add the bundle details:
Tip: The decision on what to add here depends on how you want to display your bundle offer on your site (see step 3 below).
Using an image: Create and upload an image to the category containing the bundle offer details.
Using the category name and description: Give the category a relevant name (e.g. Build your Bundle) and use the description to outline the bundle offer (e.g. 4 products - 20% off).
Step 2 | Create a bundle discount
Using automatic discounts, you can offer discounts that apply when a customer purchases a specific number of products from a specific category.
Tip:
You can create multiple discounts that apply to the same category. For example:
4 products - 10% off
8 products - 15% off
10 products - 20% off
To create a bundle discount:
Go to Automatic Discounts in your site's dashboard.
Click Create Discount.
Select Standard discount and click Continue.
Enter the discount name.
Tip: Customers see this name during checkout.
Select the type of discount from the What is the discount? drop-down and enter the required information.
Note: If you offer an Amount off discount (e.g. $10 off), it's applied to every relevant item in an order.
Select the checkbox next to Minimum quantity of items and enter the quantity.
Select Specific categories under What does this discount apply to.
Select the bundle category you created in step 1.
Select the date and time when the discount starts.
Select which customers are entitled to the discount:
All customers: Any customer can enjoy the discount.
Specific segments: Select one or more segments.
Note: Learn how to create contact segments.
Specific members: Select one or more members.
Note: For POS sales, see the FAQ below.
Specific contacts with label: Select one or more labels.
Note: Learn how to create and apply contact labels.
(Optional) Select the dates when the discount ends:
Select the Set an end date and time checkbox.
Select the date and time when the discount ends.
Select where customers see the sale name and details.
Click Save.
Step 3 | Create a mix-and-match bundle page
Now that you created the bundle discount and the category it applies to, you need to display the offer on your site to let customer know about it. You can do so using the Category page with an appropriate header. Alternatively, you can create a new site page with a gallery. Add text or images above the gallery to let customers know about the offer.
Display the bundle offer using the Category page
After you create the new bundle category, you can add it to your Category menu.

If you display a category name and description in the header, use those to add information about your bundle offer. If you display an image, upload an image with text that gives customers the details they need.
Tips:
If your Category page header settings don't work well for displaying a product bundle, use a product gallery instead.
Add the bundle category to your site menu so customers visiting any page find out about your special offer.

Display the bundle offer using a product gallery
Add a page to your site.
Tip: Give it an appropriate name, such as 'Beauty Bundle'.
Add an image, text, or both to the top of the page explaining the bundle offer.
Add a product gallery and select the bundle category to display there.
Display an 'Add to Cart' button and customize it:
Click the gallery on your page.
Click Settings

.
Click the Display tab.
Select the checkbox next to Add to Cart button.
Click the Settings tab and select Add to Cart button.
(Recommended) Select Open side cart or Stay on current page.
(Optional) Click the Text tab and update the button text (e.g. Add to Bundle).
Add the page to your site menu.

What names should I give to my automatic discounts?
When you create an automatic discount, you can choose where you want the discount name displayed.

Note that if you choose the first option and create multiple automatic discounts - each with a different name - only the name of the last discount you created is displayed.
For example, if you called your discounts the following names, only the name of the last discount you created would be displayed in your product gallery or Category page.
beauty bundle 10%
beauty bundle 15%
beauty bundle 20%
To avoid confusion, you should either choose the Only on the cart and checkout display option or give all 3 discounts the same name (e.g. 'beauty bundle').
Can I apply bundle discounts to multiple categories?
No, but you can add the products in those categories into a new category that's used just for your bundle discount.
If I sell a bundle at a point of sale, do the automatic discounts apply?
Wix POS Register (for brick-and-mortar stores): If enabled, automatic discounts are applied to sales. Learn how to enable automatic discounts for Wix POS Register.
Note: If you set an automatic discount to apply only to individual members, it doesn't apply to a POS Register sale.
Mobile POS (phone), Desktop POS, and POS Go: Automatic discounts are not applied to sales. You can, however, manually enter a discount while processing the sale.
Can customers purchase items individually within the bundle category without receiving the discount?
Yes, customers can purchase individual items from the bundle category. The discount only applies when they meet the required quantity.
How many discounts are applied at one time?
Only one automatic discount to be applied to a purchase at any given time.
How can I create bundles for digital products?
You can create mix-and-match digital bundles by following the instructions in this article.
To combine multiple digital files into a single product, save them as a .zip file. When you create the digital product, upload the zip file.
