Wix Restaurants: Creating Additional Online Ordering Pages

Separating online ordering pages allow you to take orders for your different business operations, like a restaurant and catering service. Each page appears individually on your site so customers can choose what they need.

You can show up to 5 ordering pages in your site, each with their own settings, menus, notice periods, hours, and fees.

Step 1 | Add the new ordering page

Access the online ordering settings to create and manage your ordering pages. Enter a name for the new ordering page and decide which location(s) to associate with it. If your restaurant has multiple locations, the new page will appear in all of your locations.

To add the page:

  1. Go to Restaurant Orders Settings in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click More Actions at the top right and select Add ordering page.

Step 3 | Assign menus to ordering pages

Assign menus to each ordering page to ensure customers order appropriately. On your live site, customers can check out from 1 ordering page at a time (e.g. separate transactions for restaurant and catering orders).

Before you begin:

A menu can only belong to 1 ordering page at a time. If you want to offer the same menu in each page, duplicate the menu first.

To assign menus:

  1. Go to Restaurant Orders Settings in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click the Menus dropdown and select Go to Menus.

Tip: This redirects you to the Restaurant Menus page in your dashboard.

  5. Choose the Menu Availability: During business hours or a Custom schedule.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Click Back to Online Orders Settings at the top.

Step 4 | Add the page to your editor

Once your new ordering page is set up in the dashboard, manually add it to your editor. Then, make sure you publish the changes so that the new ordering page appears on your live site.

To add the new ordering page:

  1. Go to Restaurant Orders Settings in your site's dashboard.

  2. Select the relevant page from the dropdown under Restaurant Orders Settings.

  3. Click More Actions at the top right.

  4. Select Design in editor.

  5. (Optional) Customize the new page in your editor to fit your preferred layout and design.

  6. When ready, click Publish at the top right.

Tip:

You can also click Go to Editor if you just want to add the page without designing it for now.

You can add up to 5 ordering pages to your site, each one with different settings.

No. Currently, it is not possible to set completely separate delivery areas for each page. Each online ordering page can have a unique delivery area, but all must stay within the same location.

Yes. When you unassign a menu from an ordering page, customers won't be able to order from it until it's reassigned to another ordering page.

You can always mark your menu as draft if you're not ready to show it on your site.

  1. Go to Menus in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click Edit Menu Details next to the relevant menu.

  3. Select the Mark as a draft checkbox under Visibility.

Yes. You can customize the design of each ordering page individually. However, dish items, fulfillment selection, order tracking, and checkout pages will have the same design across all ordering pages.

No. After creating a new ordering page, all settings, including pickup and delivery, order scheduling, and hours are separate for each page and must be configured individually.

Yes, you can delete ordering pages directly from the Pages panel in your editor. The deleted page remains on your live site until you click Publish.

However, if you just created the page and have not yet added it to your site (see step 4), you can delete it directly from the Restaurant Orders Settings page.

  1. Select the relevant page from the dropdown under Restaurant Orders Settings.

  2. Click More Actions at the top right.

  3. Select Delete [Ordering page name].

Important: Deleting a page removes all of its settings (e.g. hours, fulfillment methods, etc.), and any menus that were assigned to this page are automatically unassigned.
