Wix Mobile Apps: Previewing and Publishing Your Mobile Apps
When building a mobile app, whether it's the Spaces by Wix app, the Fit by Wix app, or your own native mobile app, every change is automatically saved as a draft. This allows you to make updates at your own pace and publish only when you’re ready.
For your native mobile app, you can preview it in the Wix app before you publish any changes. This lets you see exactly how your updates will look to your app users.
Saving your app
Your changes are automatically saved as you work, whether you edit your app on desktop or mobile. This keeps your progress up to date, allowing you to pick up where you left off and publish when the time is right.
Previewing your own native app
After customizing your own native app, you can preview it in the Wix app. This lets you see the mobile experience firsthand, ensuring you're satisfied with the design and branding before submission.
Note:
You can’t preview changes to the Spaces by Wix or Fit by Wix member apps before publishing. New pages and design updates show in these member apps only after you publish.

FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about saving, previewing, and publishing.
Can I preview my app from my desktop?
No, you can't preview your app directly from your desktop. However, you can edit your app from your site's dashboard and preview it on your mobile device.
To preview your app when editing from your desktop:
Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.
Click the relevant tab (e.g. Spaces by Wix app, Your own mobile app).
Click Edit Mobile App.
Make the relevant changes, then click Preview. Use your phone to scan the QR code provided.
Open the preview on your phone using the Wix app for your native mobile app or the relevant member app (e.g. Spaces by Wix).

How often is my work auto-saved?
Your app is auto-saved continuously as you work on changes. This means any edits you make are saved immediately, so you don’t lose progress if your session is interrupted, or the editor is accidentally closed.
How do I publish my app to the App Store and Google Play?
When the design and content of your app are finished, you need to register for an Apple Developer Account and Google Developer account and add your store listing information. Follow Wix's step-by-step instructions from your mobile app dashboard to complete the registration. It can take a few business days to connect a developer account. Apple or Google will send you an email once your account is approved.
The final step is to submit your app for approval. When you submit your app, Wix conducts an internal review. After Wix approves your app, we forward it to Apple and Google for their review before it goes live in their stores.
