Wix Mobile Apps: Managing Your App's Screens

Similar to how your site is made up of pages, your member app (e.g. Spaces by Wix, Fit by Wix app) is made up of screens. Each screen in your app serves a unique function, allowing your app members to interact with you and your business.

Note:

• Your screens also make up your navigation menu. Learn how to customize your navigation menu by reordering, adding, or removing screens.

• Control who can view each screen in your member apps by setting screen permissions. Choose to show a locked message or hide screens from members without access.

Adding new screens to your app

Your app comes with a few default screens depending on what business apps you have on your site. You can add additional screens to expand your app's functionality. You can choose to include or exclude these screens from your navigation menu.

Dashboard

1. Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the relevant tab (e.g. Spaces by Wix app, Your own mobile app).

3. Click Edit Mobile App.

4. Click Screens on the left.

5. Choose where to add the new screen:

   • Screens in navigation: Click + Add next to Screens in navigation to add the new screen to the navigation menu.

   • Screens not in navigation: Click + Add next to Screens not in navigation to add the new screen and keep it hidden from the menu. You can add it to your app's menu later, if needed.

1. Type a name for the screen and press Enter on your keyboard.

2. Click Save & Publish at the top right.

Tip:

To reorder screens that appear in the navigation menu, click and drag the screens up or down the list.

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

2. Tap Manage

   

   at the bottom.

3. Tap Mobile App.

4. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app (e.g. Fit by Wix), choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

5. Tap Edit.

6. Tap Screens from the bottom menu.

7. Tap Add New Screen at the bottom.

8. Enter a name for the screen.

9. (Optional) Enable the Hide screen from navigation toggle to exclude the new screen from your menu. You can disable it again later when / if you want the screen to appear in the menu.

10. Tap Save.

Wix Studio app

1. Go to your site in the Wix Studio app.

2. Tap Mobile App.

3. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app (e.g. Fit by Wix), choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

4. Tap Edit.

5. Tap Screens from the bottom menu.

6. Tap Add New Screen at the bottom.

7. Enter a name for the screen.

8. (Optional) Enable the Hide screen from navigation toggle to exclude the new screen from your menu. You can disable it again later when / if you want the screen to appear in the menu.

9. Tap Save.

Renaming a screen

You can edit the name of a screen to change how it appears on your navigation menu.

Dashboard

1. Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the relevant tab (e.g. Spaces by Wix app, Your own mobile app).

3. Click Edit Mobile App.

4. Click Screens on the left.

5. Hover over the screen you want to rename and click the More Actions icon

6. Select Rename.

1. Type a name for the screen and press Enter on your keyboard.

2. Click Save & Publish at the top right.

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

2. Tap Manage

   

   at the bottom.

3. Tap Mobile App.

4. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app (e.g. Fit by Wix), choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

5. Tap Edit.

6. Tap Screens from the bottom menu.

7. Tap the More Actions icon

   

   next to the screen you want to rename.

8. Tap Edit screen name.

9. Enter a new name for the screen.

10. Tap Save.

Wix Studio app

1. Go to your site in the Wix Studio app.

2. Tap Mobile App.

3. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app (e.g. Fit by Wix), choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

4. Tap Edit.

5. Tap Screens from the bottom menu.

6. Tap the More Actions icon

   

   next to the screen you want to rename.

7. Tap Edit screen name.

8. Enter a new name for the screen.

9. Tap Save.

Deleting a screen

Remove screens from your app if you no longer need them.

Tip:

Deleting a screen also deletes all elements on the screen. If you prefer not to delete the screen entirely, you can hide it from your navigation menu.

Dashboard

1. Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the relevant tab (e.g. Spaces by Wix app, Your own mobile app).

3. Click Edit Mobile App.

4. Click Screens on the left.

5. Hover over the screen you want to remove and click the More Actions icon

6. Click Delete.

1. Click Delete to confirm.

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix Studio app.

2. Tap Mobile App.

3. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app (e.g. Fit by Wix), choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

4. Tap Edit.

5. Tap Screens from the bottom menu.

6. Tap the More Actions icon

   

   next to the screen you want to delete.

7. Tap Delete.
