Wix Mobile Apps: Adding Content Boxes to Your Mobile App

Add content boxes to organize and structure the content on your mobile app (Spaces by Wix, Fit by Wix, or your own mobile app) without overwhelming visitors. You can attach different elements such as videos, polls, and files. Depending on your Wix business solutions (e.g. Wix Bookings, Wix Stores, Wix Events) you will see different options to embed.

Content boxes are also a great way to highlight important content elements, such as key features, announcements, or promotions.

To add a content box to your app:

Dashboard

1. Go to Mobile App in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the relevant tab (e.g. Spaces by Wix app, Fit by Wix, Your own mobile app).

3. Click Edit Mobile App.

4. Click the Screen drop-down at the top and choose the screen you want to edit.

5. Click Elements on the left.

6. Click Content box under Basic items.

7. Customize your Content box using the options below:

   • Start Adding Content: Click the Add Content button to add custom text or media. Then click Publish to save.

     Note: You can find more media options in your Wix app.

   • Show title: Enable the toggle to add a title to the top of the content box

   • Margins: Drag the Margins sliders to adjust the padding for the button(s).

     Note: Click the Edit individually icon

     

     to separately adjust the margins.

   • General Settings: Click General Settings and under Element visibility, choose which devices to show this button on: All, Android, or iOS.

     Note: You can show or hide elements of your site depending on what operating system your members are using on their mobile devices. Your elements are visible on all operating systems by default, but you can decide what to show on iOS, Android, or both.

8. Click Save & Publish.

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

2. Tap Manage

   

   at the bottom.

3. Tap Mobile App.

4. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app, choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

5. Tap Edit under your site name or the name of your branded app.

6. Tap the Screen drop-down at the top and choose the screen you want to edit.

7. Tap + Add Element in the relevant location.

8. Tap Content box under Basic items.

9. Customize your Content box using the options below:

   • Start Adding Content: Tap the Add Content button to begin. Type to add custom text and tap the Add icon

     

     for media. Tap Publish to save.

   • Element title: Enable the Show element title toggle to add a title at the top of your content box.

   • Margins: Drag the Margins sliders to adjust the padding for the button(s).

10. Tap Add.

Wix Studio app

1. Go to your site in the Wix Studio app.

2. Tap Mobile App.

3. (If needed) Switch to editing a different mobile app:

   1. Tap the mobile app name at the top.

   2. Tap the relevant mobile app.

      Tip: If you want to edit a different mobile app, choose the app as your preferred mobile app.

4. Tap Edit under your site name or the name of your branded app.

5. Tap the Screen drop-down at the top and choose the screen you want to edit.

6. Tap + Add Element in the relevant location.

7. Tap Content box under Basic items.

8. Customize your Content box using the options below:

   • Start Adding Content: Tap the Add Content button to add custom text, media, and more. Type on the screen to add text and use the Add icon

     

     for media. Tap Publish to save.

   • Element title: Enable the Show element title toggle to add a title at the top of your content box.

   • Margins: Drag the Margins sliders to adjust the padding for the button(s).
