FAQs
Click a question below to learn more.
What’s the difference between saving and publishing?
Saving stores your edits privately, only you and your team see them in the editor. Publishing makes the latest version live for everyone who visits your site.
Can I go back to a previous saved or published version of my site?
You can restore and republish an older version of your site at any time. Learn how to view and restore previous versions of your site
How do I hide a page from my site if it's not ready for my visitors to see?
If you are still working on a certain page, you can remove it from your site menu until you're ready for visitors to see it.
You can also consider adding a password to access the page (in case someone finds its link).
Why are my changes not appearing on the live site after publishing?
Ensure that you have clicked the Publish button in the editor after making your changes. Saved changes in the editor or preview mode will not appear on the live site until you publish them.
If the issue persists, try clearing your browser cache, testing in an incognito window, or republishing the site.
I published my site accidentally, can I unpublish it?
Yes, you can unpublish your site permanently or temporarily at any time.
Click the Wix dropdown at the top left of the editor.
Hover over Site Actions and click Unpublish Site.

I published my site, why can't I find it on Google?
New sites, pages, and updates may take some time to appear on search engine results, as they need to be crawled and indexed by Google. To check if search engines like Google and Bing have indexed your site, enter "site:" followed by the URL of your domain. For example, " site:mystunningwebsite.com/".
Tip: Optimize your site's SEO to get it found on search engines. Optimizing SEO may also improve your site's ranking on search result pages.
