Using 2-Step Verification for Your Wix Account
Add an extra layer of security to your Wix account with 2-step verification. Confirm your identity when you sign in from a device that Wix doesn't recognize. Use a code sent to your phone or email, or approve a notification in the Wix app.

Enabling 2-step verification
Choose how you want to verify your identity: through the Wix app, by SMS, with an authenticator app, or by email. You can turn on more than one method, so you're never locked out if one isn't available. You can also set up a passkey to verify your login without a code.
To enable 2-step verification:
Dashboard
Go to Account Settings in your Wix account.
Scroll down to 2-step verification.
Click Enable next to the method you want to use:
Verify logins with the Wix app: Get a push notification to approve your login in the Wix app.

FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about 2-step verification for your Wix account.
Why can't I use my email for 2-step verification?
Only common email domains (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, and Hotmail) work with 2-step verification. Unsupported domains show a message that your email can't be used, so pick another method or change your email address.
How long does Wix remember my device after I sign in?
Wix remembers your device for 30 days by default, so you won't need to verify again until then. To verify every time, deselect the Remember this device for 30 days checkbox when you sign in.
Will I be asked for a verification code every time I sign in?
You'll only get a verification code if you sign in with your email and password. Signing in with a social login (e.g. Google or Facebook) needs no code.
What happens if I disable 2-step verification?
Your Wix account is protected only by your password.
