  • Wixel: Connecting Your Apps and Social Accounts | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your media Wixel Wixel: Connecting Your Apps and Social Accounts Connect your apps and social media accounts to Wixel to get more out of your projects. Connect an app so the Wixel Agent can work with your content during a task, or connect a social media account so you can publish designs to it yourself. Connecting your apps Connect an app so the Wixel Agent can work with content that lives outside Wixel. Connected apps work in both directions: the Wixel Agent can bring content into your project and send finished work out. For example, ask the Wixel Agent to pull your latest Instagram posts into a collage and upload the result to a new Pinterest board, or to save a finished design straight to a Google Drive folder. Notes: App connections are separate from social media accounts. Connecting Instagram as an app does not connect it for publishing from the Share & Download window, and vice versa. You can have one connected app with the free Wixel plan. Upgrade to a paid plan to connect multiple apps. To connect an app: Go to your project in Wixel . Choose how you want to connect: During a task: Ask the Wixel Agent to do something that needs the app or send "Connect [name of app]". Ahead of time: Click the Add icon + at the bottom of the chat, then click Connect apps . Click Connect and follow the on-screen instructions to log in and authorize the app. Disconnecting your apps Disconnect an app at any time. The Wixel Agent stops being able to reach that app's content straight away, and anything you already brought into your project stays where it is. To disconnect an app: Go to your project in Wixel . Click the Add icon + at the bottom of the chat. Click Disconnect next to the relevant app. Tip: You can also send the Wixel Agent "Disconnect [name of app]". Connecting your social media accounts Connect your social media accounts in a project to publish content to them directly. You can connect more than one to publish the same content to multiple channels at the same time. Notes: These accounts are for publishing a design yourself from the Share & Download window. To let the Wixel Agent work with an app during a task, connect it as an app instead. Social media accounts are connected per project, not per account. To connect your social media accounts: Go to your project in Wixel . Select a relevant design in your project. Click Share & Download at the top right. Click a social media platform icon (e.g. Instagram or TikTok ). Connect the relevant platform: Facebook Before you connect: Make sure you're connecting a Facebook page that is associated with a Facebook Business account. Make sure you have the right admin permissions for the Facebook page. Click Connect under Facebook . Note: If you previously connected another platform, click the Connect and Manage Social Accounts drop down, then click Connect next to Facebook . Make sure you meet the connection requirements and click Continue . Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your Facebook page. Instagram Before you connect: You need an Instagram Business account to share your social post. If you currently have an individual or creator account switch to a business account before you continue. Make sure your Facebook page is connected to the same Instagram account you want to share a post to. Click Connect under Instagram . Make sure you meet the connection requirements and click Continue . Note: Even though you're connecting an Instagram account, a Facebook pop-up opens asking you to connect to the Facebook page associated with the Instagram account. Click Continue as (your Instagram name) . Select the Instagram Business account you want to connect and click Select Page . Don't see your Instagram account? It might be connected to a different Facebook page. Click Continue . LinkedIn Click Connect under LinkedIn . Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your LinkedIn account. Click Allow . Click Continue . Pinterest Click Connect under Pinterest . Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your Pinterest account. Click Allow . Click Continue . TikTok Click Connect under TikTok . Disconnecting your social media accounts You can disconnect a social media account from Wixel at any time. Do this if you no longer want to post to a particular account through Wixel, or if you need to connect a different one. To disconnect your social media accounts: Go to your project in Wixel . Select a relevant design in your project. Click a social media platform icon (e.g. Instagram , YouTube ). Click Manage under the social media account you want to disconnect. • Wix Online Programs: Creating the Best Mobile Experience for Your Users | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Online Programs: Creating the Best Mobile Experience for Your Users Every Online Program you create is automatically available on mobile, giving your participants a fully supported interface to access lessons, interact with content, and stay engaged on the go. Your participants do not have to rely on your site’s mobile browser to join and complete a program. Wix mobile apps give them a smoother way to join your site. Choosing the right mobile app for your program The right mobile setup makes it easier for participants to find your program faster and keep learning from anywhere. Wix gives you a few ways to offer a mobile experience for your participants. The best option depends on your business type, how much branding control you want, and how quickly you want to get started. If you want a ready-to-use option, start with one of the free Wix member apps: Spaces by Wix: A free member app for most business types. Participants can join your site, access content, and stay connected from their mobile devices. Choose Spaces by Wix if you want a fast, flexible mobile experience for most business types. Fit by Wix: A free member app for fitness businesses. Participants can join online programs, book services, connect with you, and purchase products. Choose Fit by Wix if your business focuses on fitness and wellness. If you want a fully branded app with no Wix branding and more control over your design and app experience, you can create your own native mobile app . This requires a Mobile App Premium plan to publish in the app stores. If your own native mobile app is live in the app stores, it automatically becomes your preferred app. Learn more about choosing your preferred app for your members. Helping participants join your program on mobile Invite your members to join your program. Participants can join your site and access your program from a Wix member app. If you send an invite link, participants who open it on mobile are redirected to download the relevant member app, such as Spaces by Wix, if needed. After opening the app, they see a prompt to join the program directly. You can also send an invite code. The code includes a link to download the relevant member app and the code participants need to join your site. After joining the site, they can access the programs available to them from their mobile device. Keep in mind that the invite code leads participants to your site in the member app, but not directly to the mobile program join screen. Depending on whether participants already have the app or have already joined your site, they may need to download the app, and sign up or log in before accessing the program. Supporting learning and payments on mobile A strong mobile experience helps participants keep learning wherever they are. They can use the app to open your site, find their program, and continue working through the content from their phone. For Online Programs, this is especially useful when your program includes content that people want to access on the go, such as videos, quizzes, PDFs, and step-by-step lessons. If you charge for your program, mobile access can also make it easier for participants to complete checkout and join from their phone. If you want more people to use the app instead of the mobile web version, make the value clear. Let participants know they can use the app to keep up with lessons, stay connected, and continue learning from anywhere. Learn more about monetizing your program . Customizing your mobile app experience for Online Programs Once you choose the app you want participants to use, customize it so your program is easy to find . This can help participants see your program as soon as they open the app and reduce the number of steps it takes to start learning. You can customize your member app from your site’s dashboard or from the Wix app. If you are using your own native mobile app, you can also customize its design and features to match your brand. Learn how to customize your own native mobile app . FAQs Click a question below to learn more. How can I make my program work better on mobile? To make your program work better on mobile: Keep lesson titles short and clear. Break long text into smaller sections. Use cover images that are easy to understand on smaller screens. Test videos, PDFs, and quizzes on mobile to make sure they are easy to use. Promote the mobile app as the best way to learn on the go. Add video steps to provide a better learning experience. Participants can keep listening when they lock their device screen, which helps them learn while walking, commuting, or doing other tasks. This gives your video content a podcast-like experience. Tip: Mobile devices also support playback through native media controls, including CarPlay and Android Auto. How can I customize my mobile app to feature my programs? To customize your app for Online Programs: Make your programs easy to find from the app’s navigation. Add an Online Programs element to the Home screen so participants see your program right away. Reorder screens so the most important program content appears first. Update your app header, app name, and cover photo to match your brand. Choose a theme color that matches your site or business. Note: Occasionally, you may see that the AI tool has failed to generate alt text for an image / images on a page. You can click Try Again as needed. Frequently asked questions Select a question to learn more about alt text. Can I add alt text to app images? Absolutely - you can add alt text to images that appear in most Wix apps (e.g. Wix Stores, Wix Blog) from your editor, your dashboard, and the Accessibility Wizard. Why is alt text important for accessibility? Some visitors may use assistive technologies such as screen readers to navigate through sites. These read the site's content aloud to the visitors (including alt text). Alt text is therefore an important part of a site, as it ensures that visitors using these technologies can access the content, and understand what the image contains. Learn more about alt text and accessibility How does alt text impact SEO? Search engines can't 'see' the content of site images, and rely on a text description to understand them. Adding alt text to an image helps search engines to match site pages with the relevant search terms, and include these pages in search results.
