- Wix Hotels by HotelRunner: Creating and Managing Your Rate Plans | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Hotels by HotelRunner: Creating and Managing Your Rate Plans Rate plans allow you to offer your guests options like full board or free cancellation with a room. You can create different rate plans and then apply them to different room types. Create and manage all of your rate plans from the Property Setup section of your site's dashboard. Important: This article refers to the latest version of Wix Hotels by HotelRunner, for information on the previous version of Wix Hotels, click here . Understanding rate plans With rate plans you can apply different cancellation policies, meal plans or markets to your properties. Important: Changing the base price in Rate plans settings will not affect your prices at the live site. After making any changes to price calculations in Rate plans settings, make sure to also make the changes in Bulk updates or inventory calendar to change the prices at the live site. Show me examples of rate plans and how they work: Master rate plan The master rate is a mandatory rate which appears by default when you create a room type. In the Master rate settings, you can edit the Meal plan, Cancellation policy, Sellable markets (for displaying the rate only in certain countries), adjust the date settings and decide if you want to display the rate on your live site. Note: Each time you make changes to price calculations per guest, or kids rates, you should also make the same changes in Bulk updates . You can then click Edit next to the master rate for each room to customize them separately, including updating your pricing for different occupancy and setting your child rates. Additional rate plan You can create an additional rate from scratch for when you want to provide guests with alternative meal plans, cancellation policies or if you want to sell this rate in selected countries only. For example, you may have a master rate that is Room only. You may also wish to offer the room type as a Bed & Breakfast option, and set a different price per guest or a different child price. You can to manually assign each property to your new rate plans as required. This allows you to create rates that apply only to specific properties, instead of all properties on your site. Linked rate plan You can link a rate plan to either your master rate or one of your additional rate plans. This is useful if you want to keep the property's occupancy and child price calculations the same as Master/Additional rate and the Linked Rate but want to make changes to the Meal plan, Cancellation policy, Countries, or Date range. Let's take a look at an example: You want to create 2 new rate plans, one with breakfast, and the other with breakfast, and it's non-refundable. You also want to make price adjustments to incentivize the non-refundable option. So you create two rate plans linked to the master plan for the room type, and charge more for the option with free cancellation, and less for the non-refundable option. First is the first change you want to make to this rate plan from the Master rate on which it's based, say a price increase. Then is when you want to have a second change from the master rate: The rate plan with breakfast, linked to Master rate: add £15 (first). The rate plan with breakfast, and it's non-refundable, also linked to Master rate: add £15 (first) and subtract 20% (then). Here's how it would appear on your live site, with a 20% reduced non-refundable rate, the Master rate which is the base price for the room with free cancellation, and the B&B rate with free cancellation and additional fee: Creating your rate plans Create different rate plans to give your guests the best experience possible for their price point. You can offer different rate plans based on the sales channels and markets where they're available. You can also provide guests more flexibility when they book with meal plan and cancellation options. Go to Property Setup in your site's dashboard to get started. To create your rate plans: Go to Rate Plans in your site's dashboard. Click + Create Rate Plan . Enter the rate plan Name . Tip: We recommend you avoid mentioning the room type in the name of the rate plan. Select the relevant Meal plan from the drop-down, for example, "Full board". Enter the Code for the meal plan. This unique code is used to integrate your information with the property management system. Choose your Cancellation policy from the drop-down. Choose your Sellable markets from the drop-down. These are the countries where you offer the rate plan. For example, you could offer the rate plan only to guests booking from North America. Choose when this rate plan is available under Date Settings : All year round: Choose this option for rate plans that don't change from season to season. Select date range: Choose this option for seasonal rate plans. This is a great way to encourage off-season bookings with cheaper or more flexible rate plans Enter the relevant Start and End dates for the rate plan. (Optional) Enable the Link to a rate plan toggle to link this plan to another. Click the Show the rate plan on your site toggle: Enabled: Guests can see this rate plan on your site. Disabled: The rate plan doesn't appear on your site, but it still appears for online travel agencies. Click Add . Assigning rate plans to a room type With your rate plan created, you can assign it to various room types. This is a great way to offer your guests more choice and more value when they go to book their room. To assign a rate plan to a room type: Go to Rate Plans in your site's dashboard. Click + Assign a room type under the relevant rate plan. Choose the relevant room from the Room Type drop-down. Click Assign a room type . Enter the Name you want to appear next to the room type when guests go to book. Enter the code for the room type and rate plan combination. Enter the Base Price (per night) for the rate plan and room type combination. Choose how many guests the base price applies to from the Set base price for what occupancy? drop-down. Adjust the price using the available options under Set pricing for different occupancy . You can increase or decrease the price by a fixed amount or a percentage where appropriate. Click Assign a room type . Note: If you set a different base price for a combination of a rate plan and a room type, this does not affect the base price of the room type on its own. To change the base price of a room type, go to Bulk Updates or the Inventory Calendar in your site's dashboard. Editing your rate plans You can update any of your rate plans at any time. - About Domains With No Grace Period | Wix Expert
< Back Billing & premium subscriptions Managing your subscriptions About Domains With No Grace Period Your domain may expire either because the auto-renew option was turned off in your account, or because your payment was unsuccessful. In both cases, your domain usually enters the Grace Period. Some domain endings do not have a Grace Period , during which your domain is reserved for you after it expires. Instead, these domains enter a Redemption Period of 30 days, giving you one last chance to retrieve your domain (for an additional cost) before becoming publicly available. < Back Billing & premium subscriptions Managing your subscriptions Using Sofort to Purchase a Plan From November 29th, 2024, Wix no longer accepts Sofort as a payment method for purchases. If you have used Sofort to purchase a plan in the past, your plan renewal payment will be processed using SEPA . Sofort lets you make one-time euro payments with instant and secure bank transfers. If you have used Sofort to purchase a plan in the past, your bank information will be used to automatically renew your plan. You can also choose to update your payment information if you would prefer to use a credit card, or PayPal if that option is available in your region. Updating your payment information You can add a debit or credit card to your Wix account at any time for future renewal payments. To update your payment information: Go to Premium Subscriptions in your Wix account. Click the More Actions icon next to the relevant subscription. Click Update Payment Method . FAQs Click a question below to learn more about Sofort payments. Do I need to update my payment information if I purchased my Premium or Studio plan using Sofort? No, if you purchased a plan using Sofort it will automatically renew using SEPA as the payment method. After using Sofort to purchase your plan, Wix saves your IBAN and bank details to process your future subscription renewals. In the event of a failed payment, this allows payments to be reattempted, protecting your site from an interruption in service. Can I use a different bank account for future renewals? If you have the bank details already saved as a SEPA payment method in your Wix account, you can update your payment information to that account. Wix no longer accepts SEPA as a payment method for first-time purchases, so it is not possible to add a new bank account to your Wix account. Are plans purchased with Sofort covered by Wix's 14-day money back guarantee? Yes. If you purchased a plan using Sofort before November 29th, 2024, you can still avail of the 14 day money-back guaranteed trial period for Premium or Studio plans.
