- AI Tools: Creating a New Business Name | Wix Expert
< Back AI tools Getting started with AI AI Tools: Creating a New Business Name The Wix Business Name Generator helps you find a unique name that aligns with your business goals and brand. By describing your desired brand personality, the chat generates a curated list of names that fit your profile. Each name comes with a rationale to help you make a decision. For example, if you're opening a café, the tool can suggest names that evoke warmth and community. If you're starting a tech company, it can generate names that convey professionalism and innovation. Once you select a name, the Business Name Generator provides a launch kit that includes a wide range of Wix tools and resources, so you have everything you need to get your business up and running. Important: The information provided by the Business Name Generator is generated by AI and, as such, may be inaccurate. It should not be considered business or financial advice. It is your responsibility to conduct the necessary checks and make your own decisions. Step 1 | Build your profile Get started by answering questions about your business. You can answer the questions yourself or get assistance from the chat. The business profile on the right populates as you provide more information. Go to the Business Name Generator . Describe your business in the text box and click Generate Names . Log in to your account, or set up a new one . Choose how to answer the generator's questions: Help me answer: Get suggestions from the chat. Answer: Enter the details into the field. Tip: Click the Start Over icon at the top right to delete your profile and start the process again. Market analysis: Offers insights into market demand, potential growth, and potential customer base to help you understand the business environment. Online discoverability: Suggests SEO keywords to improve online visibility, highlights traffic potential, and provides a general overview of the SEO competition and volume for this business. Launch kit: Presents the custom suite of tools and resources you receive to help kickstart your business, including the business name you chose, a personalized site, marketing tools, and more. Click Set Up This Business to continue with this name. Note: If you don't provide enough information about your business in the chat, you won't be able to see a full business plan. This also means that additional aspects of your launch kit will be less personalized (e.g. when designing your site). Step 3 | Design your site After you've chosen a name, begin generating a site with AI. Once your site has been generated, you can adjust it as needed to ensure it looks the way you want. Continue with the design, make some small changes, or regenerate the site to start fresh. To design your site: Choose what you want to do with your AI-generated site: Regenerate Design: Start fresh, and generate a new site. Tweak Design: Generate a new theme and layout using the same brief for your site. Edit the site brief: Site profile and/or site description: Update your site or business details. Site structure: Select the checkboxes next to the sections and pages you want to add to your site. Theme: Enter the changes you want to make to your site's theme, font and colors. Tip: Click Generate new theme to change the elements or click Shuffle these colors to apply the same theme but switch the primary and secondary colors. Layout: Enter the changes you want to make to your site's layout. Tip: Click Generate new layout to change the whole design or click Shuffle this layout to apply a different variation of the layout. Once you're happy with the site design, click Continue with this Design . Decide how you want to continue: Get a domain: Click Let's Go to connect or purchase a domain. Continue to the Editor: Open your site in the Wix Editor. Set Up Your Business: Go to your dashboard. Step 4 | Get a launch kit Now that you have a name and a designed site, you're transferred to your generated site dashboard. Your site dashboard comes tailored with your chosen business name and apps personalized to your business, so you can get your business up and running. Review your business plan: Click Business idea details at the top to view your personalized report. Change your business name : Click the Edit name icon to rename your business. Create a logo: Click the logo to create a logo for your business. Connect a custom domain: Purchase a domain from Wix for your site. Note: To connect a domain, you must upgrade your site. - Pricing Plans: About Recurring Plans | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Pricing Plans: About Recurring Plans Important: The article below discusses the Wix subscriptions app Pricing Plans. If you're looking for information about upgrading your site, visit our articles for choosing a Wix Premium or Wix Studio site plan. Offer your clients subscriptions that automatically renew weekly, monthly, or yearly. Be sure to also set the overall length of a plan. For example, you can create a plan that renews every month for a year. At the end of the year, the plan expires. You can also create a plan that continues to renew until cancelled. Tip: Both membership plans and packages can be recurring plans. Creating recurring plans When you are creating a plan, select Recurring Payment as your payment type. You can then set the price, payment frequency and length of plan. You can also give a free trial to encourage new clients to sign up. Note: Click here for more information on which payment providers support recurring payments on Wix. Canceling plans with recurring payments When you cancel a plan with a recurring payment, you choose when the cancellation takes effect. For example, for plans that renew monthly, you may want to let clients keep access to services and content until the end of the current month. On the other hand, with a plan that occurs yearly, you may want access to end as soon as you cancel the plan. Changing payment methods If you choose to switch payment providers , you must first cancel all active recurring plans, switch providers, and then ask your clients to repurchase the same plan. Dealing with failed payments When a client's credit card is cancelled or expires, or when there are insufficient funds to cover the subscription, you do not receive payment. This automatically cancels your client's plan. If the client wants to continue their subscription with a new credit card, they need to purchase a new plan. - Site Members: About the Members Area | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Building your community Site Members: About the Members Area A Members Area is the ideal tool to make your visitors engage, as it creates a community around your site. People who sign up to your Members Area get their own account where they can see all their information while getting to know other members. If you see slight differences in your editor, you may be using an older version of the Members Area. Some page names, layouts, or navigation can look a bit different from the examples in this article. You can follow these instructions instead . The Members Area structure The Members Area consists of several parts you can tailor to your needs. Customize each element so it looks and feels like a genuine part of the design. Click an element below to learn more about it: Login bar and menu The login bar appears in your site's header. Members can use it to sign up, and log in and out of your site. Signup and login forms There are 2 types of forms in your Members Area – one for new members signing up , and one for existing members to log in . Below the page's title, visitors can use a link to navigate to the form they need. Member pages Every Members Area comes with private pages (e.g. My Account) that let members view their personal information. You can also add your own exclusive content for members, creating custom member pages . If you're using certain Wix apps on your site, this automatically adds more pages to enhance the member's experience and engagement. For example, Wix Stores adds pages like My Wallet and My Orders so customers can track their transactions with ease. From here, you can manage your availability mode, visitor greetings, contact form behavior, offline experience, and avatars. Tips: If you change your mind, click Discard to revert to the last saved version. Any change you make here won’t apply until you click Save . Choosing your chat availability mode By default, Smart Chat starts with the AI Chat being active 24/7 so visitors can get answers right away. You can change the mode anytime to suit your business model and response style. To choose the chat availability mode: Go to Smart Chat in your site's dashboard. Click the Manage drop-down and select General settings . Select a chat availability mode: AI Chat 24/7 Visitors can get instant answers, day or night. This keeps your site responsive even when you're away, and helps capture leads and handle common questions automatically. Manual chat 24/7 Visitors message you directly, and you reply from your Inbox . This is best to use if you want a personal, human touch in every conversation. This requires you (or your team) to be available to respond throughout the day. Scheduled hours Use scheduled hours to control exactly when your chat is active and if the AI Chat or Manual Chat handles it during those times. When there is no active time slot, the chat follows your offline settings . When selecting this option, click View scheduled hours to customize the chat schedule: Set the time zone for your schedule. Choose the days and start/end times for each time slot. Decide who’s active in each slot (AI Chat or Manual Chat). Add or remove time slots to match your weekly routine. Inactive Choose Inactive if you don’t want the chat to respond immediately. Your chat won’t provide live replies, but you can still keep the widget visible to collect visitor details, show an offline message, and let visitors leave a message. Tip: Customize the offline settings to control what visitors see when the chat is inactive. Adjust the avatar settings Choose the profile images visitors see in your chat when they’re speaking with the AI Chat or Manual Chat. This is helpful for setting expectations and supporting compliance needs. The disclaimer will appear once to every site visitor, right after the first welcome message.
