FAQs Click a question below to learn more about Premium plans. Why am I asked to upgrade if I already purchased a plan? For example, if you purchased the Light plan, you won't be able to accept payments through your site. Go to Premium Subscriptions to check which plan you purchased. Another possibility is that you upgraded the wrong site. Site plans are valid for a single site only. However, if you upgraded the wrong site, you can easily reassign the plan to the correct one. Can I access all Wix products without purchasing a plan? Free Wix sites offer access to most, but not all, Wix products. Some products, such as Velo by Wix, provide a limited degree of access. Learn more about using Velo with a free Wix site . How do I get my free domain? Selected yearly or multi-year plans come with a 1 Year Free Domain voucher . You can choose your own domain name with suffixes such as .com, .net, and .org, among others. You can find your available vouchers in your Premium Vouchers page . Notes: The domain voucher is only included with the first time purchase of a yearly upgrade plan and cannot be used for renewals or upgrades. The voucher is redeemable within 60 days of your purchase, and can only be used to purchase a new domain from Wix. How can I get my own personalized email address? Once you have your own domain, you can purchase a Google Workspace plan to get a custom email address, such as info@mystunningwebsite.com. The Google Workspace plans include access to Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Slides. Where can I find my billing information? To view your billing information and history, sign into your Wix account and go to Premium Subscriptions . What payment methods are accepted for plan subscriptions? • About the Reserve Bank of India Regulations | Wix Expert

< Back Billing & premium subscriptions Charges, payments and tax About the Reserve Bank of India Regulations The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced new additional security measures for card payments. Wix has implemented these regulations, and we’ve notified customers in India accordingly. During 2022, Indian credit cards were deleted from Wix accounts to align with the new regulations. To ensure your subscriptions remain active, you’ll need to resubmit your payment method, or add a new one, through your Premium Subscriptions page. Payments for Wix services using INR will now be made according to e-mandates , which is an instruction to your bank that enables recurring payments. E-mandates use tokenization to help ensure secure payments. To enable uninterrupted service, towards the end of your subscription, a payment request is sent to your bank. In accordance with RBI guidelines, your card details are saved securely for future purchases and subscription renewals. An e-mandate will be created for a maximum amount of INR 15,000, but you'll only be charged for the amount of your purchase. As the maximum value of the e-mandates is INR 15,000, for any purchases over this max limit, Indian banks are required to conduct Additional Factor Authentication (AFA). Security measures explained Tokenization: Tokenization is a security measure that encrypts sensitive data and allows sensitive information to be securely saved for future/recurring payments. Tokenization in India is performed according to RBI regulations E-Mandate Subscription Management: An e-mandate is a form of authorization provided by cardholders to issuing banks that grants permission for recurring payments on their card. Any recurring payment arrangements, such as subscriptions, will need an associated e-mandate to be successful. < Back Promoting your site SEO (get found on Google) Changing Your Page URL After Updating Your Site URLs If you change your page URL after updating your site URLs , the new URL will be treated as a new page and your old page will no longer work. This means that any existing links to the old page URL that you have previously shared on social media will stop working and your existing page SEO rankings will be lost. This is because search engines will always treat a different URL as a new page. You can choose to let Wix automatically create a redirect for your page when you update the URL slug, or use the URL Redirect Manager to manually create your own redirect . • Wix Bookings: Sending Payment Requests to Clients Using Automations | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Bookings: Sending Payment Requests to Clients Using Automations Send payment requests (invoices) to clients when they complete a specific action on your site, using automations. You can also choose to send invoices automatically when a session starts or ends. If clients book multiple sessions at once , they receive one invoice for the entire order. Show me different ways I can use automated payment requests 1. When clients book deposit-only services, you can automatically request the remaining amount for the service. 2. When clients " Request to book " an appointment, they don't need to pay when you accept the booking request. You can set an automation with the trigger "When session is booked". The payment request then sends automatically when you accept the appointment booking. 3. You can automatically send individual payment requests to all the participants of a class, before it starts or when it ends. This means you don't need to send the payment requests to each participant one by one. Tip: You can also automatically generate an invoice for every fully paid order, by following these steps . To send payment requests to clients using Automations: Go to Automations in your site's dashboard. Click + Create Automation . Click + Start from Scratch . Click Wix Bookings in the Trigger section. Click to select the relevant trigger. Below are some examples: Session booked: Choose this option if you want to send your invoice immediately after a client makes a booking. This is useful for services where clients don't have to pay the entire fee up front. Session starts/ends: This is useful for classes, as you can send an invoice to all participants separately using the automation. Click the Select which services trigger this automation drop-down and select the relevant option: Any or Specific . Note: If you select Specific services , click the Select a service drop-down, select the relevant services and click Apply . Choose the relevant option from the Limit frequency to drop-down. This can help prevent you from overloading your clients with emails if they book multiple sessions in a 24 hour period, for example. Select Request payment under Action 1 . Click to edit the text of the invoice Email subject and Message . (Optional) Add dynamic values to personalize the message with details such as the Contact name, Service name, or Service start/end date: Highlight the text you want to replace with dynamic values. Click Add Dynamic Value . Click the Variable name drop-down and choose the value you want to be inserted. What is a privacy policy? A privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. • Accessibility: Fonts and Readability | Wix Expert

< Back Building an accessible site Making your site accessible Accessibility: Fonts and Readability Fonts are the way in which text is shaped and styled. Wix offers numerous fonts, as well as the ability to upload and use your own fonts. Some fonts are more legible than others, so it is important to make sure the ones you use on your site can be easily read. Choosing clear, legible fonts can help visitors who have additional visual or reading needs. Accessibility font guidelines We recommend following these guidelines when adding text and fonts to your site: Choose a font that has a balance between character ambiguity and character complexity. Characters should be easily distinguished from each other, but also have simple patterns and shapes. Use a limited number of fonts on your site, and avoid having multiple typefaces in the same block of text. Avoid small font sizes where possible. We recommend keeping your text at 14 pixels and above. Make sure that your font has sufficient spacing between characters, words, and lines. This ensures that the text is not compacted, and can be read easily. Keep in mind that formatted text such as italics, all caps, and strikethrough can be more difficult to read for visitors with visual and reading impairments. Be aware of the color contrast between your text and background, especially when using lightweight fonts. Learn more about color contrast Keep text alignment in mind. Justified text contains spacing variations, which can impact its readability. We recommend aligning text to the left, as this is the easiest to read in left-to-right languages. Text blocks and paragraphs should contain empty space between and around them to ensure they can be easily read and distinguished. Having too many or too few characters in a line can impact readability. We recommend keeping your line length between 50 and 120 characters where possible. Next step: Go back to the Accessibility Checklist to continue improving your site for accessibility. This article is credited to the Wix team - https://support.wix.com/ and we thank them for that! • Pricing Plans: Updating the Payment Method on a Customer Subscription | Wix Expert

< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Pricing Plans: Updating the Payment Method on a Customer Subscription You and your customers can update their payment method at any time. This is useful when clients' cards expire, they switch banks, or they no longer want to pay in cash and want to pay with credit card, for example. Customers who are members of your site can update their payment methods themselves, using the My Subscriptions section of your site. For non-site members, you can update the payment method your customer uses from Subscriptions in the dashboard. Clients updating their payment method Clients can update the payment method they use on their active recurring subscriptions. This is useful to avoid having their payments fail, their subscriptions canceled, or going into a grace period . This can happen when an existing payment method, such as a card, is due to expire soon. If payment fails, and the subscription is canceled, your clients will have to purchase a new subscription using a valid payment method. You can advise your clients on how to update their payment method using the steps below. To update your payment method: Log in to the relevant Wix site. Go to the My Subscriptions section of the Members Area. Click the relevant plan. Click Update Payment Method . Click Credit/Debit Cards to add a new credit/debit card or select a previously saved credit card from the drop-down. Enter the relevant details for the new credit/debit card. Note: The current credit/debit card details appear at the top to avoid confusion. Click Submit . Notes: This option is only available for active, online recurring subscriptions. Clients cannot update their payment method using the Wix Member apps, including the Spaces by Wix app or Wix Branded app. Clients can only update their payment method to a credit card, not PayPal. Clients need to update the payment method on each subscription separately (changes to one subscription do not affect all subscriptions). Adding a new payment method through “My wallet” does not update the payment method on the customers’ active subscription.
