Your site shows as not accepting orders if no fulfillment method is active. To start accepting orders, make sure at least one fulfillment method, such as pickup or delivery, is turned on. Can I quickly pause online orders without adding a closure? Yes. You can pause or resume online orders anytime per location. Pausing shows your Online Orders page as closed. Resuming reopens ordering based on your regular hours. To pause online orders: Go to Online Orders in your site's dashboard. (If relevant) Select the relevant location from the Online Orders dropdown. Click Accepting orders at the top right and select Pause Orders . Click Pause Orders again to confirm. To resume online orders: Go to Online Orders in your site's dashboard. (If relevant) Select the relevant location from the Online Orders dropdown. Click Ordering paused at the top right and select Resume Orders . Click Resume Orders again to confirm. Does pausing orders affect future scheduled orders? No. We will still process any scheduled orders customers already placed. Pausing orders only stops customers from placing new orders. Learn more about managing orders with the Wix Restaurants Orders app . How do customers know when their delivery is on the way? When a customer places an order, they receive a confirmation email that you can design to your needs . This email contains a Track Your Order button. When clicked, it takes your customer to their personal Order Tracking page. The Order Tracking page is a hidden page on your site, that is added automatically as part of the Restaurant Orders app. Customers only see this page after placing an order. Can I add a service fee? Yes. You can add a service fee as a percentage or fixed amount of the order subtotal, and add sales tax if applicable. Service fees are charges applied separately from any delivery fees. You can also set the service fee to apply to orders above a certain amount and based on how you fulfill that order. Customers will see every service fee in their order summary during checkout. The fee gets a separate line in the price breakdown and receipts. Can I add a private note to orders? Yes, you can keep track of special requests and instructions by adding notes to orders . These notes are personal and can only be seen by you and your site collaborators . What happens if a customer's address qualifies for multiple delivery areas? If a customer's address qualifies for multiple delivery areas, the delivery area is chosen based on the following criteria: Minimum Order Requirement: If the address meets the minimum order requirement and qualifies for only one area, that area is selected. Delivery Fee: If the address meets the minimum order requirement for multiple areas, the area with the lowest delivery fee is chosen. Delivery Time: If multiple areas have the same delivery fee, priority is given to the area with the fastest delivery time. Fulfillment Type: If there are multiple areas with the same delivery time, preference is given to the area that is self-fulfilled over one operated by a delivery partner. When can the earliest and latest ASAP orders be placed? You can see the earliest and latest ASAP ordering times in the read-only Available for ASAP orders column next to your pickup hours and on each delivery area's hours. This is the live in-product preview of when customers can place ASAP orders based on your fulfilment hours and order prep time. For delivery, the delivery time for the relevant delivery area is also included. For example, if there is a 30-minute order prep time and pickup hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, customers can place ASAP orders from 7:30 AM until 7:30 PM. Similarly, if you have a designated delivery area such as “Nearby Deliveries” with delivery hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and a delivery time of 10 minutes, and the order prep time is 30 minutes, customers can place ASAP orders from 7:20 AM until 7:20 PM. - Wix Bookings: Service Times on Live Site Differ from Service Times in Calendar | Wix Expert
< Back Managing your business Business solutions & apps Wix Bookings: Service Times on Live Site Differ from Service Times in Calendar There are two reasons why the service times on your live site might differ from the times that you set or the times appearing in your Wix Bookings calendar. Your customer is viewing your live site from a different time zone Your customer may be located in a different time zone. You can choose whether to display service times in your time zone, your customers' time zone, or to let them select a time zone. Learn How The time zone you set in the Business Info tab determines: The time zone for services on your live site (if you selected to display services in your own time zone) The time zone in your Wix Booking calendar The time zone in your Google calendar (if synced ) Note: Confirmation emails for one-on-one services state the time of the service in the customer's time zone. Confirmation emails for group services state the time of the service in your time zone. Your service duration exceeds your business hours It is not possible for a customer to book a service which exceeds your business hours. Therefore Wix Bookings only displays service times which are within your business hours. For example, if your business hours are set to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and your service has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, the last available time slot is 3:30 PM. A customer cannot book a service which begins at 4:00 PM. Tip: If you set a time buffer between appointments, some time slots may be unavailable to customers. To learn more, click here . Learn more about including tax in product price . If you're unsure whether to include or exclude tax, it’s always best to check with your local tax authority. In Europe, remember that website prices must include VAT, and invoices should clearly display it. When creating a new invoice, you have the option to choose how taxes are calculated and shown. These tax display features are currently available only for invoices and not for price quotes. Learn more about adding and displaying tax types . Why is tax not immediately shown at checkout? Tax is not immediately calculated or shown at checkout for digital products, gift cards, Wix Forms, or Pay Links. This delay happens because these checkout methods don’t collect a shipping address, and tax calculation based on billing address only takes place after the customer clicks 'Place Order & Pay'. Can I add a VAT ID field to invoices? Wix Invoices does not offer a dedicated VAT ID field by default. You can manually add a VAT ID as a custom field by creating a new field in your Contacts and labeling it “VAT ID.” Add the relevant ID for each customer by editing their contact profile, entering the VAT ID in your custom field, and saving the changes. This method only allows you to add a VAT ID—no other custom fields can be created for invoices at this time.
