With a site plan, you can upgrade your site at any time to get even more benefits and features. Wix offers plans to suit commercial, professional and individual brands.

With a site upgrade, you can do much more with your Wix site. By upgrading with a plan you can connect a custom domain and remove Wix ads from your site, get more storage for your media, accept online payments, and access a suite of marketing solutions.

Upgrade your site at any time to access premium features and benefits.
To upgrade your site:
Click Select under the plan you wish to purchase.
Select a billing cycle and click Continue to Checkout.
Enter your payment details and click Submit Purchase.
Note:
After submitting your purchase, your bank may require you to verify your identity. If you're experiencing any issues with the authentication process, contact your bank directly.

Can I use a free site to test Wix features before upgrading to a Premium plan?
Yes, Wix allows you to create a website for free. You can explore features like the editor, design tools, and app integrations. However, connecting a custom domain and accessing advanced features require a Premium plan.
Tip: You may want to build your site before upgrading and going live with it.
Will my domain become a custom domain if I upgrade?
Upgrading your site does not automatically change your domain to a custom domain. Instead, you can either connect a domain you already own or purchase a new domain from Wix. Learn more about connecting a domain to your site.
Do I receive a business email if I upgrade with a plan?
Upgrade plans do not include a business email. You can purchase a professional email address as long as you have a domain in your Wix account. Learn more about setting up a business email.
How many sites can I create under one account, and do I need a Premium plan for each one?
You can create up to 999 free websites on one Wix account. If you want to upgrade a site, you need to purchase a Premium plan to it. You must purchase separate Premium plans for different sites.
If I purchase a plan, does it upgrade all of the sites in my Wix account?
No. Site upgrades are only valid for one site, so each site requires its own plan. You can upgrade multiple sites in your Wix account by purchasing multiple plans.
Can I transfer a Premium plan from one site to another?
Yes, you can transfer a Premium plan to another site in the same account. If you have a domain connected to the old site, you’ll also need to reassign it to the new site.
Note: Keep in mind that Wix Studio plans cannot be transferred to Wix Editor sites and vice versa.
What happens to my site if my Premium plan expires?
If your Premium plan expires, your site will revert to a free Wix URL, and any custom domain connected will be disconnected. Your website will remain live but will display Wix ads, and premium features like accepting payments or accessing higher storage limits will no longer be available.
Tip: To avoid disruptions, enable auto-renewal for your Premium plan or set a reminder to renew it manually before it expires.
How can I apply a discount code to my Wix Premium plan?
Discount codes can be applied during the checkout process when purchasing or upgrading a Premium plan. Ensure the code is valid and applicable to the specific plan you’re selecting, as some codes may not apply to certain plans.
Note: Discount codes are typically only valid for new upgrades, not for renewals.
What happens if I turn off auto-renewal for my Premium plan?
If you turn off auto-renewal, your Premium plan will remain active until its expiration date. After that, your website will revert to a free Wix URL, and you’ll lose access to premium features unless you manually renew the plan.
Note: To avoid losing your domain connection, make sure to renew your plan before it expires.
Can I get a refund for my Wix Premium plan?
Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time purchases of Premium plans. If you’re within this period, you can cancel your plan and request a refund. Renewals and upgrades are not eligible for refunds.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my Premium plan after purchasing it?
Yes, you can upgrade your Wix plan at any time. The remaining value of your current plan will be prorated as a credit toward the new plan, so you’ll only pay the difference. If you’re unsure about which plan to choose, start with a lower-tier plan and upgrade as your business grows.
To downgrade your plan, you’ll need to cancel the current subscription and purchase a new plan. Be aware that downgrading may affect features like storage, bandwidth, and the ability to accept payments. Before downgrading, ensure your website doesn’t rely on features exclusive to your current plan.
