Wix Studio: Selling Your Studio Templates in the Marketplace
Important:
This feature is available exclusively to Wix Partners. Learn more about joining the Partner Program.
Currently, Studio template payouts are not issued to banks located in Russia and Pakistan.
Looking to showcase your creativity and earn from your skills? Wix Studio offers Partners the chance to feature Studio templates in the Wix Marketplace and connect with a wide audience of creators. Best of all, you’ll keep 100% of your profits from template sales.
Our team carefully reviews each template to ensure quality and usability. Before submitting your custom Studio template, make sure to review the submission requirements and guidelines to maximize your chances of approval.
Submitting your templates to the Marketplace
Before you begin:
At the moment, the Wix Marketplace only supports templates built with the Studio Editor.
Partners do not need to apply to join the Wix Marketplace to submit their Studio templates.
After creating a custom Wix Studio template, you can submit it to the Marketplace by filling out this form. The review process can take up to 60 days and is divided into two rounds:
Initial Screening: We’ll assess your template visually and structurally.
Detailed Review: If your template passes the initial round, we’ll then check if it meets all necessary criteria outlined in the submission guidelines.
If your submission is accepted, we’ll upload your template to the Marketplace and send you a confirmation email.
If your template isn’t approved in the first review round, we’ll email you feedback. Make the required updates, then resubmit your template using the link provided in the email. We’ll keep you updated by email throughout the review process.
Notes:
Your template may be rejected if it still fails to meet our submission guidelines after two rounds of feedback.
The template you resubmit must be the same one you initially submitted in the first review round.
How do I get my published template URL in order to submit it to the Marketplace?
When submitting your template to the Marketplace, you will be asked to provide your published template URL in the template submission form. To get this URL, follow the steps below:
Go to Custom Templates in your Wix Studio workspace.
Click the More Actions icon

next to the Studio template and select Edit template.
Click Publish at the top right.
Copy the template URL from the pop-up.

How can I check the status of my template submission?
After submitting a Studio template to the Marketplace, you can track its status at any time by going to the submission status page. This page shows the name, current status, and progress phase for each template you submitted.
Tips:
Click Filter to filter your submissions by status.
Check your email regularly. We send updates throughout the review process, and feedback emails may require changes on your part before you can move forward.
Tracking your template earnings and payouts
Once your template is live and selling, track your earnings in the Templates tab of your workspace, where information is updated in real-time.
To receive payouts you must:
Ensure you’ve connected a payout method in the Payouts tab of your Wix Studio workspace.
Finish a month with $200 or more in earnings (from revenue share and template sales combined).
If this threshold is met, a payout is scheduled in the middle of the following month to be paid at the end of that month. For example, if you earned $300 from template sales in January, a payout is scheduled in the middle of February to be paid out to your bank account on February 28th.
If your earnings for the month are less than $200, they’ll roll over to the next month.
You’ll keep 100% of your profits from template sales.

FAQs
Click on a question to learn more about selling your Studio templates in the Marketplace.
Which apps can I use in the Studio templates I want to sell?
Partners can use all apps available in the Wix App Market.
How is the template delivered to the client?
When a client purchases your Studio template from the Wix Marketplace, they will be directed to a thank you page where they can click the Add to Sites button. A copy of the template is then automatically added to their Sites page, allowing them to start customizing their site immediately.
Note: Invoices for all Studio template purchases are sent to clients only via email.
How many times can a client use a Studio template they have purchased from me?
Clients can use the template they purchased for one website only and cannot duplicate or reuse the full template for additional websites.
However, clients can copy individual sections or elements present in the template (e.g., text blocks, galleries, contact forms) into other sites, as long as they don’t recreate the full template design. This policy protects the original work of template creators and ensures fair use across the Marketplace.
Can I update the details of my template after it has been accepted to the Marketplace?
You can submit an update request to modify the details of your template, such as the description or price, but you cannot submit changes to the template layout itself. If you want to change the layout of your template, you must submit a new template instead.
Once you submit the changes to your template details, our team will review your request to ensure it meets the requirements and guidelines.
Note: You can update the price of a template only once per month.
Do I earn revenue share from templates I sell in the Marketplace?
No, revenue share doesn’t apply to template sales. Instead, you keep 100% of the profits from your template sales.
What happens if a customer requests a refund for a template purchase?
Templates sold in the Marketplace are non-refundable.
Can I see who purchased my templates and contact them directly?
No, customer information is not shared for privacy reasons. However, customers can contact you for support if they choose to.
Can I sell or promote a template I've submitted in other marketplaces?
Yes! You can sell any of your templates anywhere on the web. After your template is published, you can download a shareable file to sell or distribute through other platforms or your own site.
