Wix Studio: Selling Your Custom Templates

Whether you want to share your custom templates directly with clients, sell them on your own site, in the Wix Marketplace, or on other platforms, we’ve got you covered.

Once you've created a custom template that is ready and published, you can download a shareable file to distribute to your clients wherever you choose. The buyer can then add the template to their Wix account as a new site and customize it to fit their needs using the same editor you used to build the template, either the Wix Editor or the Studio Editor.

Tip:

If you're a Wix Partner, you can sell your Studio templates in the Wix Marketplace, creating new revenue streams and expanding your client reach.

Yes! You can sell your custom templates on any platform of your choice, not just on Wix. Once you download the shareable file from Wix Studio, you can distribute it and sell it on various online marketplaces or on your own website.

Your custom templates are downloaded in a .zip file format, which includes all the necessary files and instructions for clients to use the template. This format ensures compatibility and ease of use across different platforms.

Sure, you can edit your template even after you've already sold it and it has been downloaded by clients. Once you've made the necessary changes, publish the template to apply the edits and ensure that clients receive the most updated version when they purchase and download it.

Note: Any changes you make won't affect sites that are already using your template.

Setting the price for your custom templates is entirely up to you. Consider factors such as the complexity of the template, market demand, and competition when determining the price. You can also experiment with pricing strategies to find what works best for your business.
