Due to new regulations, Wix will no longer be able to support services for residents in Russia. This change will take effect on September 12, 2024. Please find the relevant details below and what actions you need to take if you are affected by this change.
What does this mean for me as a Russian resident?
As a result of the new regulations, we are required to restrict access to Wix services for Russian residents from September 12, 2024 and block their accounts. From this date onwards, you will no longer be able to access your Wix account or any services we provide.
Can I use Wix if I have a free account?
No, as a result of the new regulations, we are required to block and restrict access to all Wix accounts, both free and premium.
What can I do with my domain?
You can transfer your domain to another domain registrar or hosting platform. This will allow you to continue managing your domain and maintaining your online presence without interruption.
To transfer your domain:
Go to Domains in your Wix account.
Click the Domain Actions icon

next to the relevant domain.
Select Transfer away from Wix.
After reviewing the info about transferring your domain, click Transfer Domain.

I am not a Russian resident. How can I prove my non-residency status?
If you are not a resident of Russia and believe you should be exempt from the new regulations requiring Wix to cease services for Russian residents, you can apply for an exemption by providing proof of your non-residency.
Contact Wix Customer Care and provide us with a detailed explanation stating that you are not a Russian resident.
Provide an official document containing your first and last name, including information that you are not resident in Russia, and supporting documents for the last 3 months (e.g. a registration certificate, utility bills, a certificate of residence).
