Wix Automations: Viewing and Managing App Automations
Wix Automations streamline your site management by automatically performing tasks based on specific triggers. When you add certain apps to your site, some automations come already installed to ensure these apps function properly.
For example, adding a Wix Blog to your site installs an automation that notifies members of new blog posts. This saves you time on manual work and helps you manage your site more efficiently.

Archived automations are permanently deleted after 6 months.
Some app automations may be archived automatically after completing their task.
You can restore an archived automation and return it to your list of active automations.
Reset to default
You can always choose to reset an app automation that you previously edited. However, keep in mind that resetting to default also resets the automation's email template and statistics.

Tip:
Quickly locate a specific automation by using the search bar or applying filters based on the trigger or action.
FAQs
Below are some frequently asked questions about managing app automations that were installed for you.
What happens if I edit an app automation that was already installed for me?
Since app automations are created, owned, and managed by your site’s apps, editing them sets you as the owner instead.
Editing this type of automation separates it from the original. This means that the automation won't be automatically updated by the app that installed it (e.g. if the app releases a new version of this automation in the future).
Are the app automations automatically running, or do I have to turn them on manually?
When a Wix app (e.g. Wix Stores) installs an app automation to your site, it may be added as either active or inactive, depending on how that app is set up. Where supported by the app, you can activate or deactivate an app automation from the Automations page in your site’s dashboard.
Note: Some automations are installed on your site as soon as you add the app, and some are installed after specific events.
What exactly can I edit in an app automation?
There are limits to what you can change in app automations. Some app automations are view only. Others let you edit some step types, or even edit the whole automation. This depends on how the Wix app defines the automation and can vary between different app automations, even from the same app.
General rules for editing app automations:
You cannot add or delete steps in an app automation.
Triggers cannot be replaced.
Actions cannot be added or replaced.
Different providers (i.e. Wix apps) allow you to edit different parts of their automations.
Depending on the provider, you may be able to:
Activate or deactivate the automation.
Skip steps.
Edit step settings, such as delays, conditions, or action details.
Why do I see '0' in the statistics of my App automation, even though it's active and running?
The statistics of an automation will reset if the app owner (e.g. Wix) creates a new version of the automation.
For example, let's say you have an app automation that sends event goers an email if the event is canceled. If Wix Events (the app associated with the automation) creates a new version of this automation, any previous statistics will be reset.

Where can I find my archived automations?
Go to Automations in your site's dashboard.
Click More Actions at the top.
Click Archived Automations to view all your archived automation workflows.
What happens to the data and statistics of an automation after it’s archived?
All email stats and run logs remain accessible while the automation is archived. You can view these from the Archived Automations table at any time until the automation is permanently deleted after 6 months.
Can I skip a step in an App automation?
Depending on the app’s configuration, you may be able to skip steps.
In addition, you might find that an App automation may be added to your site with one or more steps already skipped. This gives you flexibility to decide whether to use the step or leave it skipped.
Where can I find an explanation of my app automations?
You can find an explanation of your app automations in the automation summary. Click on the automation in your dashboard to open the automation summary and click Explain automation to get an AI-generated description of what the automation does.
