Wix AI Site Chat: Excluding Site Pages

Exclude specific pages from your site to help manage the information the AI uses to answer visitors' questions. This helps you keep irrelevant pages out of responses, avoid using data from pages that are currently a work in process, and keep sensitive information out of the chat.
By doing this, you maintain more control over the AI’s focus, ensuring that your answers stay on-brand, accurate, and aligned with your content strategy. For example, if you have a promotional page for a past event, you can exclude it to prevent the AI from providing outdated information to your visitors.
Excluding site pages
Select which site pages you want to exclude from the AI's responses.
To exclude site pages:
Go to AI Site Chat in your site's dashboard.
Click Exclude Site Pages at the top.
Click + Select Pages to Exclude.
Select the pages you want to exclude.
Tip: Browse by category (e.g. Products, Services, Events) or search by page name.
Click Save.

Does excluding a page remove it from my site?
No, excluding a page from AI Site Chat does not remove it from your site. It only prevents the AI from using that page to answer questions.
What types of pages should I consider excluding?
Consider excluding outdated promotional pages, internal pages, sensitive information, or any pages that are currently being worked on. This helps keep the AI’s responses relevant and accurate.
What happens if a visitor asks about an excluded page?
If a visitor asks a question related to an excluded page, the AI will not reference that page in its response. It will use other available data to provide an answer.
If I hid a product from my online store, do I still need to exclude the page?
No, if you marked a product as hidden, you do not need to exclude the product page as well.
Can I include pages again after excluding them?
Yes, to remove a page from the excluded list, hover over the relevant page and click Remove from Excluded. Click Remove again in the window to confirm.
