FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about Google Workspace for free Wix sites.
Do I need a custom domain to purchase a Google Workspace plan?
No. If you have a free Wix account, you can purchase Google Workspace with Gemini without owning a domain. If you already own a domain, you can connect a custom domain later through Google if you want.
Do I need a Premium or Studio plan to purchase a Google Workspace plan?
No. If you have a free Wix account, you can purchase Google Workspace with Gemini without the need to upgrade your site with a plan.
What custom email address do I get?
When you purchase a plan, you get an email address with a Wix domain. For example, yourname@yourusername.wixdomains.com.
You can use your email address to send and receive emails ad-free with Gmail.
Can I use my own custom domain instead?
Yes. If you have a custom domain, you can connect it to your Google Workspace account through the Google Admin console. Your email address will be updated to your custom domain rather than your Wix domain.
Can I add additional users to my plan?
No. Google Workspace plans for free Wix sites support 1 user only. Additional users cannot be purchased. If you need additional users, you can purchase a business email plan (custom domain and site plan required).
What's the difference between Google Workspace with Gemini and a business email with Google Workspace?
Google Workspace with Gemini is for free Wix sites. You do not need an upgraded site or custom domain to purchase a plan. Google Workspace with Gemini is ideal for individuals with a free site who want access to a suite of Google AI tools and productivity apps.
Business email with Google Workspace is for professionals and businesses who already have a custom domain and want to set up email addresses for their domain. Business email subscriptions include the same suite of Google Workspace features, as well as support for multiple users and email addresses.
