Wix Loyalty Program: Adding an Expiration to Your Loyalty Points
With Wix's Loyalty Program, you can add an expiration date to your loyalty points, helping to encourage repeat visits and purchases from your customers. This can be great for your business, as it motivates your customers to use their points before they expire, driving more sales and enhancing customer engagement.
For example, imagine this scenario: Sarah, a regular customer at your online store, accumulates loyalty points with every purchase. She notices that her points are due to expire at the end of the month, so she returns to your online store to use them, making additional purchases in the process.
Add expiration dates to the points in your own loyalty program to boost your business in a similar way.

FAQs
Click a question below to learn more about loyalty points expiration.
Do I need to upgrade my site to add an expiration date to loyalty points?
Yes. More specifically, your site needs to be on one of the supported plans:
In the Wix Editor: Business Elite or Business plan
In the Studio Editor: Elite or Plus plan
What happens if I make changes to points expiration rules, such as changing the percentage of points to expire?
If you edit your points expiration rules, the updated program starts from that date for all customers, and their inactivity period will be calculated from that date onwards.
For example, if your customers' expiration date was 1st January 2024 with an inactivity window of 6 months, and you changed the window to 3 months on the 31st December 2023, the new point expiration date for customers would be the 31st March 2024.
Why do the last activity date and point expiration date in my dashboard not match?
Earning and redeeming points are the only customer actions that count for point expiration. Other actions such as program signups are included under a customer's last activity. These dates do not impact each other, and may appear differently in your dashboard.
Does issuing refunds affect points expiration?
Refunding points to a customer via your dashboard will not affect their points' expiration date. Only customer actions affect the expiration date.
Do expired points affect the Tier program?
Points expiration does not affect the Tiers program.
