Make sure you aren't giving away items for free. Apply the sale price coupon only to items that cost more than the discount value.

For example, if you create a $10 sale discount coupon and a customer applies it to an $8 store product, that item will be free. Shipping charges, however, do still apply.

You may want to temporarily deactivate a coupon, for example, when you have another sale taking place.

To deactivate or activate a coupon, click the More Actions icon

Customers can enter codes in the Cart page, the Side Cart, and the Checkout page. Note that the promo code option can be hidden from the Cart page and Side Cart but is always visible on the Checkout page.

To hide the promo code:

  1. Click the relevant element (Cart page or Side Cart).

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Select the Settings tab.

  4. Deselect the checkbox next to Promo code.

When you select the Include subscriptions checkbox, and a customer uses a coupon to purchase a subscription, the discount applies each cycle.

This means that if a customer buys a monthly subscription that lasts 12 months, the customer gets a discount for each of the 12 purchases.
