Wix Logo: Adding and Customizing Patterns in the Wix Logo Maker
Establish a truly unique and recognizable brand through the use of patterns. Patterns help to communicate your brand's personality and values. They also increase your business' memorability.
Create a pattern made up of icons, shapes, text or images and customize it to suit the intention of your branding. You can add a pattern to a shape or icon when creating a logo, social post or business card.
To add and customize a pattern:
Go to the Brand Studio.
Click the My Brands drop-down at the top.
Select the relevant brand.
Hover over the relevant brand design (Logo, Social Post or Business Card) and click the Edit icon
.
Depending on what you want to add your pattern to, click Symbols
or Shapes
on the left.
Hover over the relevant symbol / shape and click Customize.
Note: If you haven't yet added a symbol / shape, click + Add Symbol / + Add Shape.
Click the Shape Fill / Icon Fill drop-down and select Pattern.
Note: This option is available when you enable the Fill Color toggle.
Click Customize below the Shape Fill / Icon Fill drop-down.
Click the Pattern Graphic drop-down and select your preferred graphic: Icon, Shape, Text or Image.
Depending on the graphic you choose, customize your pattern using the following options:
Icon
Icon: Click Change Icon to choose your preferred icon.
Icon Colors: Click a color box to adjust it to suit your brand.
Background Color: Click the color box to change the background color of your pattern.
Flip: Change the orientation of your pattern by flipping it vertically / horizontally.
Icon Zoom: Zoom in or out on your pattern's icons.
Icon Horizontal Position: Move your pattern left or right to your preferred position.
Icon Vertical Position: Move your pattern up or down to your preferred position.
Gap: Adjust the space between your icons to increase / decrease the density of your pattern.
Rotate: Position your pattern at your preferred angle.
Shape
Shape: Click Change Shape to choose your preferred shape.
Fill Color: Click the color box to change your shape's color.
Fill Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the shapes in your pattern.
Border Width: Increase or decrease the thickness of the shape's border.
Border Color: Click the color box to change your border's color.
Border Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the shape's border.
Background Color: Click the color box to change the background color of your pattern.
Flip: Change the orientation of your pattern by flipping it vertically / horizontally.
Shape Zoom: Zoom in or out on your pattern's icons.
Shape Horizontal Position: Move your pattern left or right to your preferred position.
Shape Vertical Position: Move your pattern up or down to your preferred position.
Gap: Adjust the space between your shapes to increase / decrease the density of your pattern.
Rotate: Position your pattern at your preferred angle.
Text
Edit Text: Type what you want your text to say.
Font: Click Change Font to choose your text's font.
Alignment: Choose your text's alignment: Left, Center or Right.
Text Color: Click the color box to change your text's color.
Fill Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the text.
Text outline color: Click the color box to change your text's outline color.
Outline width: Increase or decrease thickness of your text's outline.
Background Color: Click the color box to change the background color of your pattern.
Flip: Change the orientation of your pattern by flipping it vertically / horizontally.
Text Zoom: Zoom in or out on your pattern's text.
Text Horizontal Position: Move your pattern left or right to your preferred position.
Text Vertical Position: Move your pattern up or down to your preferred position.
Gap: Adjust the space between your text to increase / decrease the density of your pattern.
Rotate: Position your pattern at your preferred angle.
Image
Image: Click Replace Image to choose your preferred image.
Tip: Click + Upload to upload your own image.
Crop / Adjust / Remove Background / Filters: Click any of these option to access the Wix Photo Studio and customize your image to look just how you want.
Image Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the image.
Background Color: Click the color box to change the background color of your pattern.
Note: A background color is only visible when you lower the opacity of your image, or the image has a transparent background.
Flip: Change the orientation of your pattern by flipping it vertically / horizontally.
Image Zoom: Zoom in or out on your pattern's images.
Image Horizontal Position: Move your pattern left or right to your preferred position.
Image Vertical Position: Move your pattern up or down to your preferred position.
Gap: Adjust the space between your images to increase / decrease the density of your pattern.
Rotate: Position your pattern at your preferred angle.
