Wix Online Programs: Monetizing Your Program

Monetizing your online program opens new ways to grow your business. By offering memberships or paid access, you create a steady income stream while giving your community more value. Monetizing your program

Monetizing your program is a great way to turn your expertise into income. Set up payment options directly in your program to make enrollment simple for your clients. Generate automatic invoices when someone purchases access. Participants can also complete checkout and pay to join from mobile, which helps create a smoother enrollment experience on the go.

Dashboard

1. Go to Online Programs in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the relevant program.

3. Click the Settings tab.

4. Click Edit next to Enrollment & payment.

5. Customize the settings based on the following options:

   • Pricing options: Choose whether people join for free or pay to join:

     • Free: There is no charge to join your program.

     • Pay to join: Participants pay a set price to join the program. Set the price:

       • One-time payment: Set a price for participants to pay one time to join your program. Select the Automatically send invoices checkbox to send invoices automatically when someone purchases a program.

       • Include in a Pricing Plan: Include the program as part of a pricing plan and offer packages and receive recurring payments:

         1. Click + Connect Pricing Plan.

         2. Click Connect next to the relevant plan, then click Done.

         3. Click Pricing Plan Settings and turn on automatic invoices for pricing plans.

   • Visibility: Decide who can view and join the program:

     • Public: Anyone can view and join the program.

     • Private: You need to approve new participants before they can view your program.

     • Secret: Only participants that you invite can view the program.

   • Number of Participants: Choose how many people can join the program:

     • Unlimited: There is no limit on how many participants can join.

     • Limited: Set the maximum number of participants who can join.

6. Click Save.

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

2. Tap Manage

   

   at the bottom.

3. Tap Online Programs.

4. Tap the More Actions icon

   

   next to the relevant program.

5. Tap Edit.

6. Tap Pricing & Visibility.

7. Customize the settings based on the following options:

Set the "Join" button to go directly to the checkout page.

Including a program in a pricing plan

Make money from your program by linking it to a pricing plan. Offer different membership packages to encourage more people to subscribe. When someone buys the plan, you can automatically enroll them into your program. If you already have pricing plans for apps such as Wix Blog, Events, or Groups, you can connect those plans to your programs too. Finally, if a plan isn't relevant anymore, simply disconnect it.

Dashboard

1. Go to Pricing Plans in your site's dashboard.

   Tip: You can also link a pricing plan from Online Programs in your site's dashboard.

2. Choose what you want to do next:

Wix app

1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

2. Tap Manage

   

   at the bottom.

3. Tap Pricing Plans, or tap Catalog and select Pricing Plans.

   Tip: You can also link a pricing plan from Online Programs in your site's dashboard.

Tip:

You can have up to 75 active pricing plans at the same time.

Tip:

Once you create a pricing plan, it is not currently possible to delete it. You can vote for this feature here. You can, however, hide or archive your plans as necessary to create new plans.

Creating a loyalty program

Award points for joining your program. Add the Wix Loyalty Program to your site to reward members for their loyalty. Participants can exchange points for reward coupons that they can use on your site.

Adding a referral program

Add the Wix Referral Program to your site to allow your members to refer friends to your business by sharing referral URLs. You have the option to reward both the customer doing the referring and the friend being referred.

Accepting offline (manual) payments

You can also let participants pay for your program offline using Manual Payments. This is useful if you want to accept payments such as cash, bank transfer, or another offline method. When Manual Payments is enabled, participants see it automatically at checkout when they join a paid program.

If you have more than one payment method enabled, participants can choose the payment option they prefer, including a manual payment option. After a participant selects Manual Payments, you need to approve the payment before they get access to the program.

To enable manual payments:

1. Go to Accept Payments in your dashboard.

2. Click Connect next to Manual Payments.

3. Select the relevant payment type from the drop-down.

4. Enter the instructions in the text box (e.g. Please transfer payment to Bank ABC, Account # 123456).

5. Enable the Accepting payments toggle.

Adding a Policy Checkbox to the Checkout Page

Add a terms & conditions checkbox to your Payment page so participants must agree to your policy before they complete checkout. This helps you make sure they review your terms before they pay for a program.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click Pages & Menu on the left side of the editor.

3. Click Program Pages.

4. Click Payment page.

5. Click the payment page element on your page.

6. Click Settings.

7. Click Display.

8. Enable the Terms & conditions checkbox toggle.

9. Click the Link to page dropdown and select the relevant terms and conditions page.

Studio Editor

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click Pages on the left side of the editor.

3. Click Payment page under Program Pages.

4. Click the payment page element on your page.

5. Click Settings.

6. Click Display.

7. Enable the Terms & conditions checkbox toggle.

8. Click the Link to page dropdown and select the relevant terms and conditions page.

Wix Harmony Editor

1. Go to your editor.

2. Click the Page dropdown at the top left of the page.

3. (In the Site Pages panel) Select the Payment page under Wix Online Program.

   Tip: Jump to the page you need by clicking the dropdown next to Site Pages and selecting Wix Online Program.

4. Click the payment page element on your page.

5. Click the Settings icon

   

   on the action bar.

6. Click Display.

7. Enable the Terms & conditions checkbox toggle.

8. Click the Link to page dropdown and select the relevant terms and conditions page.
