Wix Donations: Adding and Setting Up Wix Donations
Wix Donations makes it easy for site visitors to donate to your cause. Create multiple donation campaigns and customize each one to suit your goals.
For example, if you run a local animal shelter and need funds for veterinary care, you can set up specific campaigns for different needs, allowing supporters to contribute.

Before you begin:
To accept donations on your site, you need to upgrade your site to a plan that supports payments and connect a payment provider.
To accept recurring payments from donors, set up a payment method that supports recurring payments.
Step 1 | Add Wix Donations
To get started, head over to the App Market to add the Wix Donation app.
Wix Editor
Click Add Apps

on the left side of the editor.
Search for the Wix Donations app in the search bar.
Click Add to Site.

Studio Editor
Click App Market

on the left side of the editor.
Click App Market.
Use the search bar to find the Wix Donations app.
Click Add to Site.

Wix Harmony Editor
Click + Add at the top left of the editor.
Click the Arrow icon

to navigate to the Apps category.
Click Wix App Market at the bottom left.

Search for the Wix Donations app, then select the app.

Click Add to Site.
What's next?
A Donations page with a donation form, and a Thank You page, are automatically added to your site.
You can delete, duplicate, or rename the Donations page, create your own, or add the donation form widget anywhere on your site (like other pages or a popup) from the Add panel under Payments.
Step 2 | Create a donation campaign
For each type of donation you want to request, you can create a separate campaign. For example, if you run an animal shelter, you can create a campaign for dogs and a separate one for cats. You can choose whether each one has the same donation frequency, suggested amounts, and so on.
To create a campaign:
Go to Wix Donations in your site's dashboard.
Click Create Campaign.
Enter a Campaign name.
Tip: This name appears on the Checkout Page and in your donor's email confirmation. If you plan on running multiple campaigns, give each one a clear name (e.g. "Donate for dogs") to help visitors select the right cause.
(Optional) Add a campaign image to appear next to its name:
Click the icon under Image.
Select or upload an image and click Add to Page.
Set up your campaign using the options available:
Donation frequency
Select the frequency options you offer donors from the Intervals drop-down.

Donation amounts
Decide how your donors can contribute to your campaign. By default, they can either select one of your suggested amounts or enter their own contribution. You can choose to show both of these methods, or just one of them.
Click the Offer suggested donation amounts toggle:
Disabled: Donors enter the exact amount they want to contribute to your cause.
Enabled: Donors can pick from your suggested amounts. Select what to show next to your suggestions:
Amount only: Enter your Suggested amounts. If needed, click the Remove icon

to delete an existing suggestion.
Amount and donation impact: Enter your Amount, as well as a short impact description next to each amount.
Click + Add Amount to include more options (we recommend up to 4 to maintain a clear design). If needed, click the Remove icon

to delete an existing amount.
Click the Let donors enter a custom amount toggle:
Enabled: Donors choose the exact amount they want to contribute in between the minimum and maximum amounts you set.
Disabled: Donors can only choose one of your suggested amounts.

Campaign goal
Set a goal for your campaign to track progress and encourage contributions. You can also customize options for deadlines and what happens once the goal is reached.
Enable the Campaign goal toggle.
Type the amount of the Campaign goal.
(Optional) Select the checkbox to Continue accepting donations after the goal is reached.
(Optional) Enable the Set a goal deadline toggle:
Set a Goal deadline
Note: Donations will be accepted until the end of the selected date, based on your site's time zone.
Select the checkbox to Continue accepting donations past the deadline

Cover fees
Let donors choose to cover payment processing fees on top of their donation so your organization receives closer to the full donation amount.
Click the Cover fees toggle to decide whether this option appears at checkout:
Enabled: Donors see a checkbox at checkout asking them to cover transaction fees. When they select it, a percentage of their donation amount is added to the total they pay, helping to offset payment processing fees.
Disabled: Donors do not see the option to cover fees and only pay the donation amount.
Tip: For new campaigns, this option is enabled by default. For existing campaigns, it stays off until you turn it on.

Notes from donors
Enable the Notes from donors toggle to let donors add their own note.
Tip: You can change the note title in Step 4 below.

Step 3 | Display the campaign on your site

Are there any fees associated with accepting donations through Wix Donations?
While Wix Donations does not charge additional fees for setup or usage, you need to upgrade your site to a plan that supports payments and connect a payment provider.
Standard payment processing fees from your payment provider (such as credit card transaction fees) will still apply. Make sure to review the fee structure of your chosen payment provider to understand any costs associated with processing donations.
Is it possible to automatically send an invoice every time I receive a donation?
You can set it up so an invoice is sent automatically each time a donation is paid online. These invoices have a balance of $0.00 because the donation has already been paid.
Go to Checkout Settings in your site's dashboard.
Enable the Automatically create invoices for every new order paid online toggle.
What happens when donor chooses a recurring donation option (e.g. monthly donation)?
After a customer selects a recurring donation option and completes checkout, a new order appears in your Orders tab, just as with one-time donations. Then, every subscription period, an additional order appears there.
For example, if a donor visited your site on the 5th of June and decided to donate $50 every month, they are charged $50 that day and you see the order in the Orders tab. Then, on the 5th of every month, they are charged and an additional order appears there. The donor receives an email informing them that they were charged $50 for their donation to your cause.
In addition, every recurring donation appears in Subscriptions in your site's dashboard.
How do subscription renewals work?
Renewals depend on the subscription frequency you choose. Here’s how they work for each option:
Weekly: Renewal is on the same day of the week until it is cancelled.
Monthly: Renewal is on the same date each month. If a subscription was created on the 31st, it will renew on the 30th in months without a 31st and on the 28th (or 29th) in February.
Yearly: Renewal is on the same day each year.
Can the donor cancel their recurring donation by themselves?
Yes, absolutely. You can share the steps below with them which will show them how to do it.
Go to the site (where you donated).
Login to your account.
Go to My Subscription.
See your subscriptions and cancel if you wish.

Where can I view analytics reports about my donations?
You can go to your sales reports to view analytics about your sales. If you have other kinds of sales, such as through Wix Stores or Wix Events, they will appear here, as well.
