Connecting Your Instagram Feed to Your Instagram Business Account

If you previously connected to a personal account and have problems switching to a business account, try disconnecting your account and then connect your business account.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Select the Instagram Feed app in your editor.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click Disconnect.

5. In a new tab, sign out of your Instagram personal account.

6. Sign in to your Instagram business account.

7. Go back to your editor.

8. Click Connect Profile.

9. Tap Edit Settings in the pop-up.

10. Tap Next.

11. Select the business page that you want to use.

12. Click Next.

13. Click Done.

14. Click Ok.

Follow the steps below to check that you have converted your personal account into a business account, and convert it if you haven't.

1. Open your Instagram app.

2. Go to your profile.

   • If you see View professional dashboard at the top, you already have a business account.

   • If you don't, continue with the steps below.

3. Tap the options icon

4. Tap Settings.

5. Tap Account.

6. Tap Switch account type.

7. Tap Switch to business account.

8. Tap Switch.

Follow the steps below to check that your Facebook page is connected to your Instagram Business account, or connect a page if you haven't already.

1. Open your Instagram app on your mobile device.

2. Go to your profile.

3. Tap Edit Profile.

4. Tap Page under Public business information.

5. Check that you have a Facebook page connected. If you don't, tap Connect an Existing Page.

6. Choose the page that you want to connect.

7. Tap Done.

Check in Facebook Business Manager that the Facebook account you're using contains the Facebook page linked to your Instagram Business account.

If you previously connected an Instagram personal account to the Instagram Feed app, you may need to clear Wix cookies from your browser before connecting.

Your account may get disconnected if there is a connection issue with Instagram, or if you recently changed your Instagram password. Follow the steps below to reconnect your account.

1. Go to your editor.

2. Select the Instagram Feed app in your editor.

3. Click Settings.

4. Click Connect Instagram.

Follow the steps below if you get an error message that says "Your Facebook account's off-Facebook activity is switched off".

1. Go to your Facebook account.

2. Click the drop-down icon

   

   at the top right.

3. Select Settings & Privacy.

4. Click Settings.

5. Click Your Facebook Information.

   

6. Click View beside Off-Facebook Activity.

7. Click More Options.

8. Click Manage Future Activity.

9. Click Manage Future Activity in the pop-up.

10. Enable the Future Off-Facebook Activity toggle if it isn't enabled.

This depends on which version of the app you are using. Instagram now requires you to have either a Creator or Business account. If you have a Personal account, we suggest switching to the latest version of the Instagram Feed app and selecting Business account during the connection process.

There are several reasons why your Instagram feed might not display correctly on your Wix site, we recommend trying the following solutions:

• If using the old version of the Instagram Feed app, update to the latest version.

• Disconnect the Instagram Feed app in your editor, then reconnect it to refresh the connection.

• Log out of every Instagram account on all your devices and browsers. Sign in to the correct account before you reconnect the app.

• When you reconnect, make sure to grant all permissions for profile info, media, and comments so your feed displays properly.

• Switch your Instagram account to a business or creator account, and link it to a Facebook page in your Instagram profile settings.

• Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, allow pop-ups, and try reconnecting your account in an incognito browser.

Note: Some features, like likes, comments, or badges, may not display. This is due to a recent API change on Instagram's end. Your feed should still show your latest posts.

If your Instagram feed is showing the wrong account on your Wix site, it usually means you’re connected to a different Instagram profile than you intended.

To connect the correct Instagram account:

1. Log out of all Instagram accounts on your devices and browsers.

2. Log in to the correct Instagram account.

3. Confirm your Facebook page is connected.

4. Go to your editor.

5. Click the Instagram Feed app.

6. Click Account Settings.

7. Click Disconnect.

8. Click Connect and follow the prompts to connect the correct Instagram account.

For us to best assist you, it helps to have the following information ready:

• The name or URL of your Wix site

• The name and version of the web browser you're using

• The name and version of your computer's operating system

• A description of the steps you've taken so that we can recreate the issue on our end

• A screenshot of the issue

How do I take a screenshot of my console view?

1. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome (Ctrl + Shift + N).

2. Sign in to Wix and open your editor.

3. Go to the area where you noticed the issue and try to repeat the steps.

4. Press Ctrl + Shift + J (PC) or Cmd + Option + J (Mac) to open the Console.

   Tip: If the shortcut doesn’t work, right-click the page and select Inspect.

5. Click the Console tab at the top, then press F5 to refresh the page.
